We felt welcome right from when we were personally greeted in the Carpark by a very helpful employee. The restaurant is lovely and unpretentious, with wonderful food, service and good value.
Now looking forward to the cellar tour ;-)
We would highly recommend this establishment, and I m sure we will return in the future.

The 5 star rating is based on the picnic which we think is very good (250 R). The ambience was fantastic, as it has its own picnic area and the offer simple but delicious finger food. Had reserved the day before and worked great. We recommend.

Was somehow not so nice, first the reservation was forgotten and after ordering our drinks have been forgotten! Then the food was served, but no cutlery on the table!
Well, nevertheless, the food was very good and the ambience very nice!
Will not happen every day!

Absolutely loved this wine estate. The food is amazing with a unusual menu. Staff of the wine tasting could have been more enthusiastic and shown more interest. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful lush garden setting over looking the valley. The resident dogs are to cute as they greet each visitor hoping for a little scrap from the table. The wine tasting room is beautiful with aromas of wines filling the air. The wine cellar is awesome. U can off set your wine tasting bill against your purchase of wine of R100.00 or more. They have the most incredible pumpkin and fig preserve. Which is delicious with cheese and biscuits.

My favorite wine estate to visit in Cape Town. Incredible place of beauty and romance. Park right next to the vines, and walk under the oak trees as you enter. Then having a choice to sit down in the fantastic old cellar (cobwebs and all) for wine tasting (and cheese board if you wish to order) and served by knowledgeable Delheim wine staff, turning every glass into a learning experience. Thereafter, going to the restaurant (make sure you book before you arrive as they get busy) and sitting outside, under the trees to enjoy a lovely meal with a great choice of wines.

At the restaurant: complete disconnect between estate ambience and restaurant atmosphere. Terrible pop and hip-hop music blaring loudly over the speakers in a restaurant with a stuffy atmosphere and old carpets. It felt off. The food was beautifully plated and the flavours spot on but the cooking was terrible. I had pork belly and it was tough, dry and chewy.
Wine and cupcake pairing: the staff were completely disinterested. Rambled the discussion about each wine down in 5min before serving and then we were left to pair ourselves. I felt unwelcome, and it soured the entire experience for me. The cupcakes were stale and dry too and the wines are average.
I'd recommend visiting for the beautiful grounds and scenery and delicious free gluhwein at the entrance. The rest should be skipped.

What a wonderful experience. Generous with their tastings. Good wine. Knowledgeable, committed and very friendly staff (Shorty). Followed by a really delicious lunch in a cozy environment on a cloudy and cool afternoon. Highly recommended.

One of the best wine farms I have visited. The opulence of the gardens and the experience of cupcake wine pairing is something you can only find at Delheim. The resturant served one of the finest meat salads I have tasted. A welcoming smile and homely feeling is worth the travel to this piece of heaven on earth.

Fantastic,,,,lots of parking under shaded trees, the walkway from the gate/garden is shaded,,,beautiful surrounded by mountains,,,,both restaurant and tasting room give you that rustic feel and atmosphere,,late in the afternoon and the waiters still busily about with a smile ,,,from a distance you can smell the different aromas ,,,a great selection of wines,,a great location to spent the day

Lovely food and lovely view. Place has a slightly worn appearance to it and the bathrooms definitely need an upgrade and in addition the sommelier wasn't that easy to understand. Beautiful surroundings though so worth a visit but not wow.

Absolutely beautiful farm just outside of Stellenbosch. We did the wine tasting and the service was excellent. 5 wines to taste but extras were thrown in when comparing and discussing different wines. The restaurant looked beautiful although we didn't have a chance to eat there. Not the most child friendly.
