I have never in my life come in contact with such rude, incompetent people. I'm not going to write a book here. I only came here for 1 semester and I hope to never set foot on the campus again. The City Park admissions office could not be anymore useless and none of the offices can communicate with each other at all.
The vast majority of people who work here do not actually know the proper procedure to do anything, often even your advisor. Financial aid is a nightmare, I didn't get mine until three months after the term started, although I filled my fafsa out months before. You get a mass e-mail saying you have a hold or a block, then must spend nearly an hour on hold, on the phone with two or three different people before you finally learn there's some extra form no one told you about. The only people who are expected to know the rules are the students.
I'm new to state of Louisiana transferring from college to college called to get help over the phone. Lady that picked up was Extremely rude!! Admissions office don't even care to help out. Don't waste your time or money. Pearl River Community College were more help full.
I just transferred to UNO and i can say Delgado douse not prepare students for university level work. I transferred with a 3.737, i would say its equal to 2.0 at UNO. UNO is an amazing school but 10x more intense.
I graduated with an Associate of Science degree in Architectural/Design Construction Technology in 2014. There are many bureaucratic and administrative problems at this university, but I rate my own degree program as above average.
As an older student, (I was 58 when I enrolled under the VRAP program), I was treated okay. When I did enroll, the veteran's advisor there was really the only one who was very helpful. If it weren't for him, I would very likely not have completed my enrollment.
