Thank you to all those at the Delaware Hospice Center. My wife's passing was dealt with dignity, respect and grace in a setting befitting the last days for those poor souls who require their services. Everyone deserves to be so well treated. Thank you,

My father-in-law was cared for by Delaware Hospice and he spent his last days at the Center. The Center was AMAZING! The staff, amenities, volunteers - DH made a terribly difficult time more comfortable and offered peace to the entire family. I already know if I ever need hospice care I will be using Delaware Hospice.

It feels strange to give a review for a place where one spends their last moments, but as those moments are so valuable, it is important to highlight the great work that Delaware Hospice does. I spent the last several days of my father's life with him at Delaware Hospice, and I was beyond impressed at the care both he and our family received while there. The facility is beautiful, both inside and out. Every patient has a private room with a private bath, and there are patios and plenty of green space to walk around in or look out on. The rooms are of a large size, so there is ample space for loved ones to gather comfortably. The staff were warm and knowledgeable about my father's condition and what he did or did not need at different stages at his decline. I was really touched that we were allowed to bring in the family dog, who meant so much to my dad, to say goodbye. I don't think I am expressing myself well enough here to do this place justice, but I will say that I live out of state now and have thought to myself many times since my father's passing that I hope that when I am at the end of my life's journey I have an equally kind, warm, and understanding environment to take my last breaths in. I don't think they could do a better job.

Oh, my goodness. Delaware Hospice was a lifesaver for me when my husband had Alzheimer's. Their Transitions program helped me tremendously as a caregiver to understand what I could expect as the disease progressed and connecting me with a support group and volunteers to guide me along. When it came time to transition into Palliative Care for my husband, the CNAs, nurses, hospital bed, and other equipment fell naturally into place so he could remain at home. The 5-days-a-month respite at the Center was a godsend for me to get some much-needed rest. By the time the end drew near, Delaware Hospice had become "family" that gathered 'round my children, grandchildren, and me to comfort and advise us step-by-step. Even afterward, they reached out with grief counseling and are still available to me more than a year later. And all this is FREE, absolutely no charge. The quality of their services and facility, their compassion, professionalism are beyond compare. As you can see, I highly recommend them and suggest you get in touch before you think you "need" them. Delaware Hospice is for much more than when death draws near.

Delaware Hospice took amazing care of my father, who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers and dementia. Not only was the facility modern and welcoming with cozy design, but an easily accessible outdoor space to a garden was a welcome respite when I was overwhelmed. Their staff were all compassionate and caring, and they educated my mom and family on what was happening with tact and gentleness. My dad wasn't there long but he was treated like an old friend, and I am forever grateful for this experience. Highest recommendation for any of your care needs. Thank you Delaware Hospice!

The care my father Andrew received was outstanding. All of the medical staff as well as administrative staff were exceptional and meet every need my dad had as well as caring for family members while visiting. I have been in many hospitals in Maryland, Washington, and Delaware and never have I seen such devoted nurses and staff. I stayed there around the clock for 11 days and never once did I see a nurse sit down, have lunch, or rest. They were always in motion helping all of the patients. My family and father had a wonderful experience. Cheryl Bishopville, Maryland

Why are they ejecting my loved one after one week'...

Why are they ejecting my loved one after one week's stay when my loved one is within a couple of weeks from her last breath? We are paying for it and were under the impression hospice could give her some comfort and care during this painful cancer death. She does not have family in the area so cannot be at home. Why is Delaware different?

Our father Andrew was admitted to Delaware Hospice...

Our father Andrew was admitted to Delaware Hospice, Milford in April 2019.The entire staff at this facility immediately became extended family. As a sometimes combative Alzheimer's patient, our father was continually treated with gentle compassion as if he were their father. I cannot imagine what our father's end of life would have been without the sensitivity and high level of professionalism that was given by the staff. To all the employees at Delaware Hospice, Milford there are not enough words to express our gratitude. Thank you for the respect and care you gave our father. Kathy Brown, Columbia MD

The care provided was criminal in it`s lack. My mother was allowed to suffer without pain relieving medications until we called an outside physician for assistance. I cannot state in strong enough terms how poorly these people performed their job.
