I went to opening day and two more days of racing, and it was so much fun. This is the place where "the surf meets the turf" and it truly is on the ocean. If you have never been, don't miss opening day!
It was so much fun watching the horses run. We came to enjoy the 1 dollar beer and it was a beautiful clear day with a view of the mountains. Parked free at inDel Mar Racing lot and enjoyed a nice walk into the park. Apache princess was my lucky horse. Check the site for special events. Nice place to hang out with friends and make a few dollars. Lol.
Loved it, well organized, very relaxed environment. Turf club was amazing. Definitely coming back again
Fun place for groups. The staff is real nice. I recommend using the electronic kiosks for placing bets for beginners. Concession prices are higher, with a much less variety than Petco Park.
Great vibe, good races. The amenities are fantastic. It would have a perfect score if cheap beer was less than $10.
Del Mar and Il Fornaio were amazing! It was a work event, and there was no holding back on service, incredible food and wonderful horse races! I wish I had taken a picture of the buffet that had been laid out for us as it was amazing! There was something there for everyone. And after lunch we got to enjoy eight incredibly exciting races. I highly recommend you do this at least once in your lifetime!
