Diabolical customer service.

Diabolical customer service.

I ordered some shutters at the beginning of March this year (two weeks before the country closed due to covid). The shutters I ordered did eventually arrive in may they were poorly put together with lots of sharp edges on the shutter rods and also they were the incorrect size for the windows. Since then I have been fighting with this company to get there mistakes rectified and to this day am no closer in achieving this.
The customer services are almost non existent and very rude when you do eventually manage to get a response to countless emails and phone calls. Lots of unkempt promises. I personally will not be ordering anything further from this company and my guess is they would not careless based on previous experiences.

Knockmore Industrial Estate is where they hand man...

Knockmore Industrial Estate is where they hand manufacture some of the blinds but you have to park at the office headquarters where you do induction paperwork then they send either to warehouse beside or down the road into warehouse beside Ford repair but walking & travelling distance became a pain, parking in office complex only & gates locked at night potentially leaving your car locked in after work. They give you 3 days approximately till they ask you to get quicker & with millimetres margins you better be good at it or it becomes insanely difficult. Long hours too.

We have three Sunwood venetian blinds and have been really pleased with all of them. Unfortunately recently, one of them developed a problem with the tilter.
I contacted Decora blind systems for assistance and perhaps some advice as to how I could fix it... My Email was answered by Niamh Smyth, who, very kindly arranged for some new parts to be sent out to me....Free of charge!! and totally unexpected!!
Now that's what I call excellent customer service... My blind is now fully functional thanks to Niamh.

All 3 Venetian blinds arrived damaged (many slats bent), this wasn t damaged in transit, just poor care taken when making. All 3 blinds had to be remade and I asked when making the valences again, if a cm could be added to their length. I More

Currently doing work for a children s charity and ...

Currently doing work for a children s charity and needed a blind cord for an inspection tomorrow. I was in haldane and fishers and asked was there any blind companies close and they recommended Decora blinds which was a stones throw away from their premises. I walked into the reception to be greeted by a middle aged/elderly aged blonde dolly bird receptionist. I explained I was in a pickle trying to get a cord for a children s charity who have an inspection tomorrow and could I possibly buy 1 of decora to help me and also the charity out. With great pride she point blank refused and said they didn t sell to the public, which I totally understand but I explained again how desperate I was and the situation with the charity and please could I buy 1. Again she refused, so I asked could she recommend anyone close that could help me or another blind company close by. She refused saying no she couldn t recommend anyone and that she knows plenty but couldn t recommend any sure just google it but most other people doing blinds works out of a garage . It is great to know there are people out there so kind and helpful as the dolly bird receptionist in this place especially when helping a charity out and as I said I was looking nothing for free. To cut a long story short elite blinds where more than happy to help and when I went to pay they refused my money as it was helping a charity out!!On the other hand decora, It was nice to see an employer employ people over the age of retirement

Most unhelpful company. Ordered a Velux Blind but...

Most unhelpful company. Ordered a Velux Blind but due to confusion over the coding I ordered the wrong size. I offered to return the unused blind still in its original packaging but they would not offer a refund even though I would have ordered another one. Wont bother with them again. Will now order from Amazon who have a fantastic returns policy. Dont know why I didnt use them in the first place.

The worst company to work for, targets in some fun...

The worst company to work for, targets in some functions are unrealistic and management knows that and won't care just says that we are not quick enough.
My section leader and trainers said they know that there are target unreal to beat in some functions and they trying to tell to management but they won't listen.
Some off the functions are targeted 7 min where this really takes one minute to do

Never would recommend any1 to work for them, only if you don't have another job this will do you for a while.

I worked for this company for 13 years. The manager's were very good to me. If you work hard you will have no problems. 3 weeks after I left the company I took ill. The management at decor have supported me throughout my illness even though I don't work there anymore . I will be forever grateful for the help I have received by the company.
