I attended a Training on " The Sex Trade " on 15/NOV/2017 . One of the Facilitators was Ms. Cassandra Damm (Managed Care Coordinator) from Thresholds .

I also , Bared my soul to the mostly Professional Women attending . About my past Sins and my remorse & intention to educate my Younger Brothers (On How Not To Conduct Ourselves) .

Deborah's Place is a warm wonderful "Home" for Women. Staff are encouraging, positive, up-beat. May God continue to bless Deborah's Place and truly, sincerely hope they branch out because so many people need them like I did!
Meh. This place seems to be filled with people who think they are helping but definitely aren't. Management is lackluster and it doesn't seem like people care. Its a place meant for healing but it only adresses one problems: homelessness. You should be striving to liberate the women who live here not hinder them. Need some tips?
The gymnasium is a great place for large groups to meet.
They have a lot of people who know how to work the system. When they bring
free fruits and veg, there are people who grab all the best. Some of the staff
are very overpaid and abusive.
There are bedbugs in some rooms and there are also mice (many.)
Great gym area. Lots of school events are held there.
Great place to help women who need a little assistance in life.
The support that they provide is amazing. Please think about how you can be a blessing to others.

Deborah's Place: Empowering Women and Ending Homelessness in Chicago
Deborah's Place is a non-profit organization that has been providing shelter, support, and resources to women experiencing homelessness in Chicago since 1985. The organization was founded by a group of women who recognized the need for safe and supportive housing for women who were homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Over the years, Deborah's Place has grown into a comprehensive program that offers a range of services to help women achieve stability and independence. The organization operates two residential programs, as well as an outreach program that provides support to women living on the streets or in other unstable situations.
One of the key components of Deborah's Place is its commitment to empowering women. The organization recognizes that homelessness is often caused by systemic issues such as poverty, lack of affordable housing, and domestic violence. By providing safe and stable housing along with supportive services such as counseling, job training, and education assistance, Deborah's Place helps women overcome these barriers and build better lives for themselves.
The two residential programs operated by Deborah's Place are Marah's Permanent Housing Program and Jane Addams House Transitional Housing Program. Marah's Permanent Housing Program provides permanent supportive housing for single adult women who have experienced chronic homelessness due to mental health issues or disabilities. Residents receive individualized case management services designed to help them maintain their housing stability over time.
Jane Addams House Transitional Housing Program provides temporary housing for up to two years for single adult women who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless due to domestic violence or other crises. Residents receive intensive case management services designed to help them address their immediate needs while also working towards long-term goals such as employment or education.
In addition to its residential programs, Deborah's Place also operates an outreach program called Moving Ahead Through Education (MATE). MATE provides support services such as food assistance, transportation assistance, clothing vouchers, hygiene supplies distribution etc., along with educational opportunities like GED classes etc.,to unsheltered individuals living on the streets or in other unstable situations.
Overall ,Deborah’s place has helped thousands of vulnerable individuals rebuild their lives through its various programs over the past three decades . It continues its mission today with renewed vigor ,working tirelessly towards ending homelessness among Chicago’s most vulnerable population -women .
