Closed and empty. Not sure if it is a permanent closure or not.
Very stylish. Very quality. Very trendy. Very refined. Very expensive.
Among the various locations, this Dean and De Luca guarantees the typical New York atmosphere ... besides being a true source of good take away food.
Fantastic for those who are getting to know the region and would like to buy different foods and even make a meal. The sandwiches are delicious and also have a wide range of other types of food, such as salads, pasta, cookies, coffee and the like.
Very good soups. An incredible place with very good quality products
LOL, dont eat here. They leave the food overnight for days. The Cupcakes? PFFT HAAHAHAHA those are week old cupcakes. its terrible of a place. There is mold growing under the produce. Be sure to watch the date on things. Even if you did, some things have been left sitting out for days.
Always pleasant to stop there buy surpringlly limited in the specialty food sections.
Really sad to learn that this place has closed for good. I really liked it.
There's a good energy in this space, lots of fun items you don't find in your typical Supermarket, coffee and teas are delicious flowers are very pretty but too expensive. Pepared foods are pretty good and the chocolate options are awesome.
Really cozy place where you can buy a little different ... A good cup of coffee and a little croissant or similar to eat. Good service, was over many times here, seems the quality was really nice at a reasonable price (reasonable price = nothing is cheap in New York, but I think this was at a reasonable price).
Very elegant and well placed place that sells excellent food at medium-high prices
Popular New York chain of delis that offers a wide range of grab and go food options that's very popular with the Soho crowd. A bit overpriced in my opinion.
Great place to go to take out foods or to buy unique kitchen supplies. There is freshly squeezed juices, delectable bakery items, large variety of deli and cheeses. It is fun just to browse before making your selections. Prices are reasonable. Service is very helpful.
Great place to have a coffee or pick up a quick snack while shopping or running errands in SOHO. Great selection of pastries. They also offer a full range of super market items (meat counter, cheese, vegetables) although I don t think I d realistically ever go grocery shopping here I have found some interesting spreads and crackers for entertaining. In the morning, coffee line is long but moves quickly and the service is outstanding.
I just found out about a friend's surprise birthday last night so I made my way to Dean & DeLuca early this morning to pick up a couple of cakes. As I was making the selections I asked "Jennifer" if we could write "happy birthday" on the cake and to my surprise she said (rudely) "Dean & DeLuca requires 48 hours notice to write anything on the cakes." I'm sorry but that's just ridiculous, I don't care if the "real kitchen" is "downstairs" - ask someone to run it down and run it back up - I'll even do it! I spent $100 on two cakes and Dean & DeLuca couldn't even write happy birthday... I figure for $100 I could at least get that. Baskin Robbins does it, Haagen Daz does it, Carvel does it...but not Dean DeLuca. I guess they're too high end. Maybe they should get off their high horse and realize you only have a business because of customers. Next cake: ANY PLACE ELSE. Besides the cakes weren't very good.
Dreamed of!! The Disney LANDIA of food! All exquisite
Delicious food, wide variety. Only wish there were a few more spots to sit, as finding a seat can be challenging. But even crowded, lines move fast and service is good.
Beautiful shop, full of options.
The sandwiches are great :)
Can get a bit crowded!
Just a perfect place to visit, grab a small lunch or treat or drink. You can't go wrong here.
A mandatory visit to New York!
For those who love food.
A great delicatessen that is suitable for a brief stopover during shopping but not only.
Superb food and great coffee
You must stop at this place. Lovely atmosphere and good quality products. :)
It has some really great and tasty food that you can but and eat inside. However, there's only a standing room, and even then it is very small and crowded.
The prices are ok, but a bit on the expensive side.
The good thing is that you know everything is fresh. However, if you want to buy produce or other stuff so you can cook yourself, I would recommend to go and shop somewhere else. Regular stuff that you can buy in any supermarket, cost here way more.
But if you want to buy cooked food, they have so many options that you will probably find something you'll like.
Deli is great, the staff well knowledgeable. Great sandwiches made to order.
I have been woking there since 2013. But one thing hurts me so much that overhere too much racism going on. The manager "fred" who favor to the people he likes. Even though he knows who is stealing food but he gave the girl warning and give a 2nd chance to her because he likes her. An incident happened with me, when a cutomer came to me and i do my job and eveything i ask her if she needs bag or everything, but she didnt response because she was on the phone. But when she moved to the other side she talks with my another co-worker named"velecia". Than my headchashier "rosy" was beside me and asked me what the customer said? Since we are dealing with a lot of customer everyday i dont know which one my headchashier rosy taking about? I just said to her "which one are you taking about the black lady" , she also said yes. My co-worker velecia dont feel good because i said black lady,But how funny when rosy also agreed that yes the black one she is taking about but i dont have my job but "rosy" still working overthere. My manager "fred" said people dont feel good sometime when you talk like this . But i explain it to my boss "fred" that i dont rude to the customers or i dont even said my co-worker that she is black, all i said to rosy that which one she was asking about,"fred" listen to them not mine because im asian. What kind of management is that where "rosy" also told "yes the black lady" but i dont have my job but she is still working overthere? A manager should be equal to their employees. I dont even understand when i told him they always makes fun about asian, said a lot of bad stuff but i never complain but how he listen to their talks not mine? What kind of management is it???
Great Service, Great Sushi, Great Environment, will visit again! Highly Recommend for a quick stand up lunch. Food prices a little high for quantity, but worth it for the quality!

...it's cool when a stranger gets me one of they're high-end EVERYTHING caramel lattes (for holding open the door and looking rather shoddy thanks to my wild and reckless punk rock lifestyle) forcing me to beg, like so many other NATIVE New Yorkers...staring down the barrel of th
Always crowded, always expensive, not fantastic, but it's dean and deluca so it's not a surprise.
If you you have no ideas of what to serve at a get together or party at your home or office
Shop with natural and high quality products. But little more high price.
I rushed from the Upper East Side to get there before it closed. I was happy that I made it at 6:15, 45 minutes to spare. However, the store was virtually closed. All of the refrigerated cases were empty. The staff was focused on closing. I was looking for peppercorns and Dean & DeLuca didn t have peppercorns! Is this store closing for good?
All the employees were really helpful. It's an awesome place to just walk around and explore- they have everything you could ever want to eat
Well, every time I travel to NY to visit my family, I pass here to try some delicious things and this year I discovered that it has more varied products in Italian canned pannettones, other exquisitely packed in jams, fruits, fresh foods, everything is a pleasure for the eyes and for the stomach and one can eat it there or take it home.
The service here was awesome greeted and helped to the fullest. I didn't give five stars because of what I witnessed here today from an employee. I seen an employee take food from a customer and throw it in the air food went flying everywhere. Other than that great service
Stocked on everything, great prices, a point of reference
Expensive, but super complete. A real paradise for anyone that loves good food.
Great spot. But the coffee counter is complicated. They aren t willing to make basic drinks iced. Heard two customers and myself request iced but to no avail.
It's always fun to be there.
They have great smoke salmon.
Great NYC institution. Not the same as when Giorgio DeLuca was the man behind it, but it still has incredible groceries and food and yes you will pay dearly for it. It is so expensive that if you are a gourmet cook I guess and if you love preparing extravagant food, then this is it, now I go for a scone and a latte and leave but it's amazing to see the seafood and meat etc. and all the condiments one could want, however, I need to clarify that I am a pathetic cook.
Great staff, lovely food if a little pricey. Bowie used to do his weekly shop here...
Good products but overpriced and ALWAYS crazy crowded, stressful, experience
I used to stop by this shop at three mornings out of the week for a fresh doughnut and a cup of fruit. The team at this location is second to none.
Surprisingly so they have reasonable prices for everyday items like coffee, bagels, muffins etc... Pleasant atmosphere close to known shops in Soho.
Great place for food, coffee and finding unique items.
Great delicatessen. The hot chocolate and cinnamon babka were amazing
I liked it, however, it's a little too pricey for me some of the items. But I do enjoy walking around the shop and wonder which patrons are spending their hard earned cash.
Expensive, overpriced but clean store with a nice selection of high end groceries and meats
Crowded, and overpriced... Well, it's not crowded anymore. It's out of business. Though Google refuses to accept this.
Their Chai Latte is not good, taste like more milk than anything else. Paris Baguette is by far the only place who serves a good Chai Latte
Love EVERYTHING in this store. Their sandwiches, hot "dishes", soups (mushroom barley is FABULOUS), salads, breads, cheeses, cakes and pastries, drinks, flowers, plus EVERYTHING ELSE. Bit pricey, but worth it.
Love this place very over priced but beautiful shop.
Definitely my go-to grocery store. Quality food and service.
Great specialty foods and great for a quick cup of coffee. No sit down but there are tables by the windows to stand at and sip your latte. Fantastic cheese and meats department. Nice high tin ceilings in one very large room.
Excellent variety of top quality and ready to eat lunch portions
Very nice (and pricey) supermarket. I always buy charcuterie because it is one of the best places in New York for that.
Over priced and fairly/surprisingly unprofessional staff.. I get more attentive/responsive help at nearby shops, why not here?
It provides some NYC exclusive Yogurt. Don't miss it.
D&D remains a true food lovers destination. It may be a bit pricey, but they are meticulous about each and every category of product they carry. In terms of the ready to eat dishes and foods that they offer, I've found most to be delicious and inspirational.
I recently stopped by to pickup some goat cheese, microgreens and seafood. I got in just before the lunch rush and was out in less than 15 minutes.
The new store design makes it more of an open space and it seems less crowded that way. They also have a great fresh sushi bar in the rear of the store now too.
Highly recommended.
