We sat down at a table in the sun, after having just disinfected our hands we had to do that again. Back in our seat, the waitress came to the waiter who was just clearing and cleaning our table and addressed him in an arrogant and derogatory way, asking ... how many people is this table for? Waiter turned red and said oh yes for four .... she looked at him admonishingly and then said well, turned around and walked away! Arrogance at the top of the eye of the customer, very unprofessional !!! We thanked and left! What a terrible customer unfriendly tent yuck!

Eaten with 7 men tonight. Great service. Smooth, correct. Sipped a tomato soup and pork tenderloin satay. Very tasty. Rest was also pleased with their meal.

What a cozy restaurant this is. Smooth service and despite the understaffing due to illness make the best of it. Good food for a great price.

What a joke this place. We wanted to have a drink around 17:00 (chosen this tent because it is a cafe), there was no more snacks available. The tent was blue from the kitchen, an unpleasant odor and stuffy air. Staff didn't seem to find the air filthy 'oh that's because of the burgers being fried'. A relief to be outside again. Cook looked unkempt, had no chef's clothes on, nor his long hair a bit stuck.

Good food.
The service was friendly and was hard at work alone for indoors and outdoors.
Can use quite a few staff.

Eaten a delicious Greek salad. The ambiance was very inviting and the host was very friendly. Was even surprised for my birthday with a nice candle. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a nice place to eat in the center of Alkmaar!

We kept returning here on our holidays 3 or 4 times because we really liked it. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we enjoyed the food. We had the most amazing apple pie, I would very highly recommend it. We also had an amazing fish salad which was fresh and tasted great, it was also a really decent portion size! We also had a really nice lunch one day with these really great extensive open sandwiches popular in the Netherlands. I had a really nice spicy chicken "of the devil" sandwich and it was great!

Very long waiting times on a Tuesday lunchtime in the not fully occupied outdoor area, small portions at impressive prices, almost 2 euros for 2 adults and 2 children for food and drinks and all moved on hungry.

We were there Sunday evening 9-9. Enter other details and disinfect hands. Fine. But inside, the corona rules were totally ignored. A group of friends of 9 people just sat at one table without any distance between them. Loud conversation and suddenly they started to sing and cheer because it was someone's birthday. Incomprehensible. Eventually the staff intervened, but too late. They could just sit at that table. I understand that the hospitality industry is having a hard time but this should never have happened. Hopefully my wife and I didn't get anything there.

The burger was a big undefinable gossip of a really nasty fleshy mass, the Gouda slice on it was rock hard and sweaty, the wholegrain bun was rubbery. Service and side dishes were ok. The view of the kitchen would have been better saved, everywhere fries on the floor. Pity about the money.

Dark establishment with little atmosphere. We were tired, and it was raining, so sit down for a while. Coke and ordered a beer; no ice for the coke. Complaints brought some old ice cream to the table, but it didn't do the cola any good. Which catering industry does not have ice cubes? We also ordered pannini's, and arrived after some waiting time. The taste was hard to find. All of the ingredients had the same taste. Only the salad that came with it still had some, but mainly because of the olives that came with it.
It was our first time in Alkmaar, but whether there will be a second time ....
