I come from LA to shop bargains there great place and beautiful landscaping
I hadn't been here in a long time and they moved on up like the Jefferson's. Nice new shop and cafe. My only gripe would be the prices on a few items were out of whack. Red Baron frozen pizza for $6.99!? It's $3.99 at Staters? Jiffy peanut butter was a good deal if you bought the large chunky tub but the small smooth tub was $4.69. Seems like they had more stuff than before.
All the people who took care of us in that place, God bless them greatly ... It is so beautiful and they treat SO well one that it stays in the mind and in the heart that makes you want to return. I wonder if Mr. Carlos is still there?
He inspired me more with sports and that is what I do here where I am, I hope to visit them again someday.
I loved this place xk the people there were very nice and very friendly and I still miss him a lot xk there I was and it was very nice
Awesome place that helps kids and great place to go help raise money for the kids.
It's a great smart boutique to get some snacks for the kiddos.. Just check the expiration dates on the food. Yet it benefits the kids for all their programs.
Wuaoo I was in this beautiful program for almost 2 months and it is very nice everything there is very nice thanks a lot for the support we give greetings to coovcrest and the staff
I Love this place there's a restaurant called Dave's and Maggie's there waffles are to die for there sandwiches are delicious and who doesn't like a hot coffee or tea there's also a discounted store it varies from food, shoes,Clothes, house cleaning items, house decorations, and more the food starts at 1.25 cents really low prices and the people here are very friendly there's no day that I leave without a smile I'm proud to say that I'm a former Foster you and I appreciate everything David and Margaret has done for me.
This review is of the Bargain Boutique at the David & Margaret Youth Home. This is a remainder bargain store with food items which have aged off of market shelves. It is a place that if you know what you're planning on with it, you can save quite a bit of money. Breads are from local markets - almost all of it a couple days old, but still fresh, and typically around 50 cents a package.
They also have non-food items such as housewares and clothing - come late spring, they tend to have a large number of dresses suitable for prom, most under $10, a great option if you're on a budget.
You should bring your own bags (sometimes they charge 10 cents per plastic bag if you do not). The boutique is on the main floor (half a level up from ground level) and is open 7 days a week, some days with limited hours. Well worth the time visiting.
This very beautiful for me was an unforgettable experience I was at Jhon Eccles
It is a strange wonderful place. And to the mister. To all and the house I regret seeing being there.
About two years ago I was there ... it was nice to be in that place ... I still miss everyone I met there ...
Absolutely love the store. Great place to buy bread for very little money
Being there was a great experience extrano to the misses and all I met
Great place for good deals. Great customer service and friendly environment
Good thrift store excellent service all goes to charity
Big Hearted organization. 12/19 Update. David and Margaret gives troubled youth a opportunity to have a childhood and get the support and love our youth need in this greedy world. The state is trying to close down organizations like these and cast out youth into the streets. What happened to investing in our youth which are the future and not some startup tech company that promises a better car or cell phone. Lets invest in humanity and help others.
Over a hundred years in service great Director I recommend
Love this place though it's far from Glendale, we still go here for a little bit of everything from candies to groceries to some hardware
The staff at David and Margaret appear to have some type of prejudice against people of color I don't exactly know what's going on but own money is green like everyone else's.
I liked the friendliness and dedicasion k resivi apart there is an atmosphere very trankilo and if talks with the staff there. Well, let all stress be forgotten between talks and laughs. Thanks to this I changed the opinion I had regarding the places that are dedicated to this because not all are equal this one in particular if I would like to frequent safe
Great stuff! Great deals! All of the proceeds support a wonderful cause.
The store is a close spot to grab grocery's. Good prices on clothes.
It was cool especially to know the people Mr. Mister Ock Knolls and John Eclos
I can only comment on their store and employees, both of which I like very much. I've never actually used their social services.
Wonderful place to help at risk youth. Staff is knowledgeable and courageous. Many opportunities available for these kids that are willing to turn their life around.
Had me down there five times then said I wasn't right for the job
The store is in a different location, they made a new building behind old one. Great variety of low priced almost expired or expired goods. Not alot of things in stock yet. Maybe I'll go back soon.
I love the bargains at the boutique... A frugal shoppers best kept secret for tasty treats and household items at rock bottom mark down prices!
Great place, for a good cause. Not too many items any longer
Beautiful place, just a little dent, someone (a kid) driving an green sub almost runs over.
Worst company ever..... Run by rude horrible people who don t care for kids.

Depends what your looking for. Multiple goodies for excellent prices. Love to give for charity. Cloth. Shoes but little variety. Sweets
Minimal toys. Frozen goods. Check it out at least once to kill your curiosity.
aside the fact knowing I actually lived here for two weeks, it was better then any other group home :)
If your looking to stretch your dollar you have found the place.nice folk most of the staff.may not always find what your looking for but that can be expected. It's so good I over buy and hand it to my neighbors.
David and Margaret Youth and Family Services is a non-profit organization that has been serving the community since 1910. The agency provides a wide range of services to children, youth, and families in need. Their mission is to empower those they serve by providing them with the tools they need to succeed.
One of the primary services offered by David and Margaret Youth and Family Services is their foster agency program. This program provides temporary homes for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. The agency works closely with social workers to ensure that each child is placed in a safe and nurturing environment.
In addition to their foster agency program, David and Margaret Youth and Family Services also offers mental health services. These services are designed to help children, youth, and families cope with emotional issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, or behavioral problems. The agency employs licensed therapists who provide individual counseling sessions as well as group therapy sessions.
Another service provided by David and Margaret Youth and Family Services is their specialized non-public school program. This program serves students who have special needs or require additional support in order to succeed academically. The school offers small class sizes, individualized attention from teachers, counseling services, speech therapy services among others.
The transitional housing program offered by David & Margaret helps young adults transition from foster care into independent living situations successfully. They provide affordable housing options along with life skills training programs that teach young adults how to manage finances effectively while also providing job readiness training programs for them.
David & Margaret's youth workforce training program aims at empowering young people through education so that they can become self-sufficient members of society eventually; this includes vocational training programs like culinary arts classes which prepare students for careers in food service industry among others.
Lastly but not least important are residential foster youth programs which offer long-term care solutions for children who cannot return home due to safety concerns or other reasons beyond their control; these include group homes where kids live together under supervision while receiving support from trained staff members around-the-clock.
Overall David & Margaret's commitment towards helping vulnerable populations within our communities makes it an exceptional organization worth supporting!
