Great restaurant! Try their seafood stew! Really delicious! Very close to shark fin cove, nice place to walk around after a great meal!
Obvious why nobody there. They no longer do their own sour dough.
This is the place to stop for drinks and snacks along this stretch of coast. Never stayed the night here.
First time here for lunch and it was fabulous. Definitely worth coming back.
Great for bringing your car club. Delicious food, good prices and great service!
Went for the Tuesday live music and . It was good but they need a real stage for live music.
We got sat by a hostess and no one came to the table for 20 min so we left. I explained as we left and he didn t believe we got sat by a hostess. (They we not even busy) and I was sat by a hostess and pointed her out. Clearly bad communication. I ve worked in food and bev before.
Wonderful place with a real hometown vibe. Friendly staff and beautiful music. Fixtures were rustic and tasteful, and the patrons were all dressed respectably
Went back. The food is fantastic. Tracy is whom I met as one of the chefs. The food was gloriously delicious.
We had two Latina women providing table service while we ate outside and listened to a blues band. What a great time. The service was top notch and kept my coffee full. I highly recommend this place.
Food is good, but the service is inconsistent.
The first time I went, the food and service is amazing, but the second time, it took them 1.5 hour to serve our food and we just ordered sandwich nothing fancy.
Great food, cute set-up. Friendly staff. Food took a little while to get to our table but it tasted great and was fresh.
Nice inn. Great beach-combing. Great Bonny Doon Lavender Toiletries. Slow breakfast service but who's rushing in Davenport? Nice micro Catholic church up the street.
We stopped here for a coffee break when we were doing the 17 mile road trip. Nice coffee clean loos. Love san san fransisco.
We went here for Thanksgiving and had a great meal.
The staff was helpful and friendly and the food was outstanding... You have to try the "house made sausage" it is great!
Well worth the stop, even if you are just traveling through!
How about theres only4 tables to serve and it took over 1hrs for us to get are food and i had to say something or else it would of took alot longer!!!!!!
Nice all day open eatery on HWY 1. Love it! Good for vegetarians as well, and friendly staff.
Just like many of the poor reviews previous to mine, I do not know where to start! I was excited to make reservations for my husband and I because after almost 11 years of living in Santa Cruz, we were finally going to experience this place.
We were there for "steak night" and were VERY disappointed. My husband ordered the 12 oz sirloin steak and what arrived (he ordered it medium) was a tasteless, overcooked piece of meat that did not even resemble a sirloin steak (we have bought and made many, many sirloin steaks over the years and have never been perplexed by what arrived at our table). Not only was it over cooked, it was NOT 12 oz.
I ordered the 6 oz filet mignon and what I got was a tender piece of meat but tasteless as well. It was not your normal filet mignon (a thick juicy round medallion), it was definitely NOT worth $22.00.
So my husband decided he wanted to speak to the waitress to let her know that this was NOT 12 oz of meat on his plate (it looked like 6 oz, it was approximately the same amount as my 6 oz filet). The waitress gladly took the plate back to the kitchen and out came the owner.
In one hand he had a raw piece of meat that he claimed was sirloin and in the other he had his scale. He plopped the scale down on our table, showed us the steak he uses for sirloin, which was covered with a layer of fat that you couldn't even see the meat itself and proceeded to state that after he weighs the steak he trims the fat.
The problem with this is that when you advertise on the menu that the steak is 12 ounces, it should be 12 ounces immediately before it goes on the grill and out to your table!!!! You DO NOT weigh a raw steak BEFORE you trim the fat off!! POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES!! DO NOT EAT HERE!
A good restaurant business owner would have at least taken the steak off the bill!
We are small business owners ourselves and know that you must always make your customers happy in the end....NOT HAPPY!
