I had visited this school back in November 2013 I enjoyed the visit the guide was nice. The area was nice too, plenty to do if you like being outside. I had received my acceptance letter earlier this year. (2014) But sadly I'm moving to Spain to study in Barcelona. Good luck all who attend!

This school is trash. It's super old, in the middle of nowhere, and they think they're so high and mighty that they don't even read the applications all the way through. The student body is comprised of the luckiest individuals who's apps didn't get tossed by the grumpy admissions monkey that hadn't eaten yet that day. I'm going to send them a crate full of bananas to feed their admissions employees so that they might actually be able to make some rational decisions. If you're a lucky person, or feel like gambling your application fee, this is the school for you!

Amazing majors and sets its students become the leaders in the community. After college, the students are sure to be payed higher salary compared to other colleges. the college proves that students are satisfied with its education by having one of the highest alumni donation rates.

Obviously has the best meme page of all the Ivies. Big campus life, cold in winter, large Native American Community on Campus and Meryl Streep was here for a term. Shonda Rhines and Mindy Kaling also graced us with their presence. Not a cutthroat academic environment, great wildlife and very picturesque all seasons, housing is a mess, but its more affordable to live off campus anyways.

I really love this place and Dartmouth should get 4 or 5 stars actually, but it is unfortunate the powers that be have no problem with certain speakers advocating violence in the street. If this does not bother you, there are many good ratings and reviews I would just be echoing, but some may consider this one issue important, as well as a factor considering their own principles.

Love it!! First class everything except the weather.

Never experienced any discrimination of any kind as described by other comments. Perhaps it's because I'm used to NYC and my skin has grown thicker lol

The college itself is situated in the middle of nowhere, which is great if you love outdoor activities. Dartmouth owns much of the surrounding trails, cabins and even has its own skiway.

Social life revolves mainly around the fraternities and sororities, which almost three quarters of students are members of.

The administration is the only weak link in the institution.

Great university. Have a beer downtown and then hike on the Appalachian trail which runs right by the university and through downtown. This is an outdoor person's dream college to attend. Enjoy.

Huge and vibrant campus with all the facilities a student would want in a world class university. Multiple student cafes that offer quality food for reasonable prices, nice student accommodation. helpful staff and qualified faulty. Public transport is free and all buses go through the campus. All coaches to Hanover also make stop in the campus. Really impressive gym in the campus and is free for students.

I loved the University Campus and Town. It's a classic Ivy League campus and town. You just feel like you could learn something on every corner. The campus is amazing. Nostalgia abounds, even though you didn't attend the university.

All states and many countries represented for amazing conversations. Tough to gain entry to D but once in, intellectual and passionate discussions about everything. Setting mixes the beauty of nature with daily shuttles to Boston for a perfect blend of environments. One of the best in USA and in the world- if you are smart, passionate and want to make the world a better place - apply to Dartmouth.

Reputation of this school is good and bad. The education for students is excellent and provides them with lifelong advantages of networking for successful careers.

The obvious negative with the school is their lack of diversity, but it isn't necessarily their fault. This is a very "white" school, due to economic status and environment.

The town is very small, and it will require that you really, really enjoy the outdoors to make the most of the environment. There is a bus one can take to head into Boston, MA but you will probably want to have a car if you plan to travel more frequently during the school year.

If you are fortunate to attend this school, or get a job here - you will be enjoying it very much with the understanding that you enjoy the outdoors and being part of higher education.

I worked at Dartmouth for five years and met many alumni, students and some faculty members. It's a close-knit community, a vibrant campus, and people are friendly and helpful to each other. Faculty members are very attentive to students, alumni do everything they can to support students to pursue a career path in a field they are connected to, and the student body is kind and talented. I enjoyed my time working at the College. It deserves its Ivy League rank.

The field hockey team were excellent in their voluntary contributions in the aiding of new students getting settled in and bringing in their luggages to their dorm room. They definitely came to my family's rescue going up 5 flights of stairs. A good product of Dartmouth.

As a student, I love it here. Plenty of opportunities to study abroad, great professors, easy-access to research opportunities, funding for internships, decent eating options, and despite the relatively small size of Hanover, there is always something to do.
