My husband and I had our wedding reception at DANK Haus Friday August 9, 2019. The evening was magical and so was the planning process. Monica and Laura were fantastic to work with and let us get into the venue earlier (since there weren't other weddings the day before) to prepare the space! We also had a chance to test run our first day. The people from DANK Haus that were there for us during the evening were also similarly helpful.

And the ballroom itself is just gorgeous! I'll try to reminder to post when I get the pictures back from the photographer. The room is just so warm and gorgeous in the evening.

I've been going to DANK events for the past 8 years and have always had a good time there. I've always been impressed with their programming - they offer everything from German language classes, cooking classes, and art installations and tours. I attended a German comedian performance there a few years ago that I still quote lines from because he was so funny! In the summer, the DANK balcony view of the city is the perfect place to meet friends, enjoy quality German beer, and admire the city. Best of all, I'm excited for the Maifest which is always a great time.

DANK Haus was the perfect setting for my fall wedding!

We were looking for a venue that would allow us to bring in our own catering, which brought me into the DANK Haus in the first place. Having lived near Lincoln Square for a long time and passed by it so many times, I had no idea what a beautiful building it was inside! As the 7th wedding in my family this year, it was perfectly unique and was captivating and gorgeous.

Monica was such an enormous help. Having gotten married here herself, she had a wonderful perspective as to what works in the space. She was professional, friendly, and extremely accommodating of my mother, sister, and I coming in on more than one occasion to take pictures and be in the space. They allowed us in to decorate the Friday before, and the maintenance staff was very friendly and helpful.

I've gotten so many compliments on the space, and I'm so happy I got to celebrate my wedding day at the DANK Haus!

We had our wedding reception a few weeks ago at the Dank Haus ballroom on the 5th floor and couldn't be happier with the venue. Monica was always responsive and helpful. We were happy the venue doesn't resrict catering options. The venue provided and set up all of the tables and chairs over 24 hours in advance since there was not an event the night before. We were able to get in to decorate without stress. The space is beautiful and we loved the arched windows. Bonus with multiple German themed bars. Great value for the cost - I would recommend for any large event!

From beginning to end of coordinating our wedding, Dank Haus went above and beyond! Their staff was incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. The venue (we were in the Skyline Lounge) was beautiful and fun. Our guests were absolutely blown away with the gorgeous view of downtown Chicago from the Terrace. Thank you Dank Haus for letting us rest easy for our big day. It couldn't have gone any better!!

We just had our wedding there, and it was amazing. I'm so thrilled with our decision! After we got engaged, we naturally started looking at venues. We had reached out to a few, but hadn't heard anything back after a few days. A friend recommended Dank Haus to us, and I'm so glad. We called, Monika answered and said we could come right over and check it out. We live about a 10 min walk from there, so went right over. We liked it right away. The venue itself was beautiful. We wanted something different than the traditional banquet room, and this fit the bill. We also felt very comfortable with Monika. They were also very flexible. We could use any caterer and could even provide our own liquor, to save money. We decided then and there to go with their ballroom. The venue cost was pretty reasonable, from what we'd seen. Throughout the process, Monika was great. Any questions we had, she was always quickly to respond and helpful. I really appreciated that! We were able to load stuff in a few days before the wedding, and had help getting it in. The day of, everything seemed to run smoothly as well. Afterwards, we were also able to get help picking stuff up. I highly recommend this place. The price is decent, they are very helpful, and above all else the venue is beautiful.

If you re looking for a spot to host an intimate, ...

If you re looking for a spot to host an intimate, socially distanced wedding in Chicago, DANK Haus is the place! Our wedding and reception took place on the 6th floor Terrasse and it was absolutely magical.

On the day of the ceremony and reception, they provided ice for our bar, security, and set up the tables on the rooftop so our day-of coordinator and her team were able to quickly arrange the rest of the space when they arrived. They were also around to help answer any questions our vendors had on the day of the event during setup and tear-down.

As for the experience for us and our guests it was incredible! We were lucky to have a clear, sunny September day, and the view of the Chicago skyline was an absolutely stunning backdrop for our ceremony. Per the venue s rules, no chairs are allowed on the Terrasse, but DANK Haus provided a few benches for our guests to use during the event. Another rule of the venue was no glass was allowed on the Terrasse. This wasn t too big of a deal, but due to the wind, our day-of coordinator had to bring in most of the flowers and plastic vases that we bought for centerpieces, because they kept blowing over. After the sun set, there was still plenty of lighting provided by string lights hung around the perimeter of the space.

All in all, the DANK Haus is an incredibly affordable, gorgeous, and charming venue to host any event. Once all this is said and done, we re looking forward to hosting a larger celebration with our family and friends from near and far!

Had my wedding here on may 25th 2018 and it was wonderful!! Our ceremony was at the skyline lounge terrace which has a beautiful view of the city. The room that the reception was in was on the same floor, so it was very convenient for everyone. Parking was available at the MB financial bank just a stones throw away from the building. There is elevator access for elderly or disabled people. Nice big kitchen (but no stove) as well as a nice big bar. The walls are cream colored with art deco gold trim and leafy design which went beautifully with our light pink, peach, cream, and forest green decorations/flowers. There were already nails and hooks on both sides of the long rectangular windows (about 4 on each side facing east and west) for us to hang our floral garlands and string lights. Monica is the event coordinator for the venue (she also got married at dank) and answered our many annoying questions thoroughly and with enthusiasm! She's truly a wonderful person. If you're looking for a spot to get married at, definitely check this place out!
