It's very conveiounce to go and eat get food use phone get help with housing all sorts of things
Don t waste your time going there. They don t care about you or anything else. Employees are super rude and act like they don t know anything! Just go to BellFlower ! I don t see how this place is still in business. I understand it s a free service but you don t treat like that that s seeking help
They say their hiv tests are confidential but then turn around and report your name and results to the state board of health. They are liars
Its a great and comfortable place for people ,Hiv testing, care coordinators , preventive medicine , therapy. Etc
Other than being a bit far-drive from where I live this place has past every expectation that I ever had. If I could add more stars I would
Amazing people at the Damien Center! Free HIV and STI testing.
I called and asked about a food card they said they had some, I said I was on my way, the reception desk said ok I get there and she tells me the pantry doesn't open until 10 it was 9:00 she could have told me that on the phone and I had to go to Lexington In by 11
Another remodel... Seems they are spending more again in unnecessary cosmetics AGAIN rather than putting their nfp funding towards the people their funding is meant for... Typical
I went to the Damien Center and spoke with Anne. First, she spoke in a very demeaning tone the whole time. She told me that they couldn't help me, but the Bellflower Clinic can. She said that they were swamped today and don't recommend going. She said I would wait for hours and still may not be able to be seen. It was only 1pm at this time and they didn't close until 6:10pm, so that didn't make sense to me. Anne also told me that 3 weeks post-possible-exposure is not enough time, even for the RNA HIV test. I've heard some people say that the test is effective 9-11 days post-possible-exposure, so that didn't make sense either.
I ignored Anne and glad I did! I went to the Bellflower Clinic and there was no wait at all! I grabbed a number from the check in and was called next. I was in and out of that clinic in record time. I also spoke to an actual doctor there and she said 3 weeks is definitely sufficient time for the RNA HIV test. I tested negative and my whole ordeal is over! Thank you, Anne, for nothing. If I would have listened to her, I would have been in anxiety for another week, took off another day of work, etc.
The Damien center is not a good place for me.... yes they give care coordination and pantry access to everyone in need but they pick and choose who the give the real help to like housing rental assistance and utility assistance.... they even give food vouchers to Walmart and Kroger to selected few meaning the people they're cool with and friends with.... They left me with bad credit putting me on housing program and kicking me off in the middle of a lease saying I was on the program too long but the guy next to me they kept him on the program and he was on the program a lot longer than me.... I'm tired I'm tired
Lovely staff. Will definitely donate again soon. <3
Great HIV services and care coordination. Damien Cares clinic on site is wonderful.
Great place for free and confidential HIV and STI testing. Provide a great service to the community. The staff usually leave a a lot to be desired in the hospitality & professional areas.
Crisis averted. Finally got my medications, thanks to The Damien Center. Taylor has been a huge help, so a big shout-out and thanks to her.
Best place on Earth . Dedicated Staff who really care about your situation and only wants the best for you. Don't have to be HIV+ or Gay they do STD & HIV testing for everybody.
Awesome place that really helps the community, and educating and helping keep people healthy and really provides the resources that can be difficult to find sometimes with no money or insurance!! A good place doing good for the people!!!
They do good things here. Thank you for all that you do!
These folks serve the community and do it better than anyone else.
GREAT PEOPLE...VERY HELPFUL...FOOD PANTRY ALWAYS FAST AND CONVENIENT
These people at Damien inspire life and ade in helping hungry families and also provide hot nmails for anyone hungry
The place was clean and the staff treated my friend well.
People who works here are extremely polite, really helpful and open for questions, maybe they don t have every answer but they will certainly try to find help.
I originally contacted this place in 2016. Every so often I give this place another try. After multiple attempts of reaching out for help. I have not received any that they so enthusiastically offer. I recommend going to Step Up or Aspire Indiana.
Polite employees but the person at the desk had poor familiarity with his job.
The staff is superb and the clinical staff is above all the rest.
Chaz was amazing! There was nothing uncomfortable about my visit whatsoever! Would recommend the Damien Center to everyone
I only like it because it was free. I didn't find the people terribly comforting, in general. I'm sure they are underpaid and overworked so I give them a pass. I got tested for STDs and wasn't offered any paperwork to prove my status. I didn't think about that until I was long gone. Rather disappointed that I didn't get it.
It is a Great place for those that are HIV+. They are so helpful. We even got bags of dog food today
The Damien Center is a social services agency that services a unique part of the community. The staff is friendly and you are always greeted politely at the door. The services that the Damien Center offer are comparable to no other organization like it in Indianapolis.
A+ for service
A+ for attitude
A+ for what they do for the community. Excellent place to refer people who are eligible to become clients. Call them and they can tell you anything you want to know.
The staff all the way from the case managers to the medical staff, and especially the amazing team at the Walgreens inside the facility, are absolutely amazing and professional.
Not usually busy. They work fast to help you and give you all of your options. And exceptionally friendly.
Great place. They give you everything you need and more
Friendly staff, never lets me down when it comes to my care coordination

The staff is wonderfully helpful!
The Damien Center is a full service place for counseling and other services if you qualify for.
Great place, friendly intelligent staff. They care about other's and try to help.
It was awesome very friendly efficient and quick I think the Center for all they provide may God bless the people that work there and all they do, may God bless each and every one of them!
Private and friendly. A necessary service. Much appreciated!
My place for my HIV CARE it's feels great to be greeted by the receptionist at the desk with such a Lovely Smile and Spirit, rest of my coordinates are okay. They ALWAYS seem to have a turnover in staff often, I DON'T LIKE THAT.
They are my family forever. Love the Damien center n I thank God for them each n every day
The Damien Center is doing great work in the Indianapolis community, treating those living with HIV/AIDS, preventing the disease from spreading, and working to end the epidemic.
Very resourceful, need to know what you're in need of for quick process
These are people with hearts that go beyond human bounds. My Angels in this world of hell. Love them!
This is a much needed non-profit organization.that is helpful to people that are affected with HIV, and need help with social services and health care.
Frankly, I've been overall displeased with my experience here, which is unfortunate because I need the care they provide. E.g., their psychiatric nurse practitioner was texting during our appointment, and she reprimanded me for a couple life decisions I've made, only to follow up shortly by reminding me that she's not my therapist. The appointment lasted only 15 minutes---at which point she abruptly cut it short, owing to a "meeting" she had to attend. Seek psychiatric care somewhere else, where your time and money will be respected.
I'm glad to be back home there help like no other place
Always looking after other ppl and try to help the most.. amazing team everyone super friendly.
Perfect place to go for testing and treatment. Staff treats you with dignity and respect
Staff are remarkable, serving and helping, meeting my needs. Sadly lacks socialization activities not public ly posted. All my concerns received respectful attention and my needs are received with due consideration. I have issues yet to share but in no way diminish the quality of care and help I have received over many years I have been it's client consumer. I am proud of the ever on going development of the Damien Center so evident in it's expending programming, treatment ., modalities. And services.
Thank you. You have have me medication when I needed it most. I'll never forget you.
I've got my HIV treatment from Damian Center for 2 years the staff is excellent they're flexible they put up with me cuz I'm late or don't show up frequently but they still treat me with respect and dignity and offer so many vital services to the gay community and the HIV gay community this is one of the great Treasures of Indianapolis
They could have listed that they are for clients with certain diseases in their website.
It has taken a village but these folks have literally saved my life. Kudos
