It's a nice zoo, but it doesn't have much compared to other Texas zoos I have visited (Houston, Ft Worth, San Antonio). Came here with family so it was more about their company thank the actual experience with the animals.

We love this zoo. Always improving. Making things more natural. We bought a membership and it was well worth it. You get lots of free guess pass and can always bring a friend free. Worth the $$.

The Dallas Zoo has done a great job making the exhibits beautiful and nice for the animals. The animals all seem to be well taken care of. The zoo keeper talks are very informative and interesting.

I would have given this zoo a 5 star rating however there were a lot of signs saying this animal is not in this exhibit right now that s a bummer when your running up to see the next animal and that s the sign you see about every 5 exhibits.

Wonderful Zoo experience. Great staff, great place. FTW Zoo, get your game on.

Schedule in the shows and the zookeepers exhibit specific stand ups. It wasnt tricks, but we saw the animals playing back and fourth with the staff.

Love it.

This is an amazing zoo with wonderful staff and wildlife with interesting exhibits and events that appeal to both adults and children. There are many clean restrooms and restaurants within the zoo.

Love the zoo! Huge habitats for the animals and lots to see! Wonderful kids area to take a break mid trip if you d like as well. More expensive than some - I d suggest becoming a member if you will go at least two times in a year. Membership includes discounts for other zoos, Fossil Rim, etc.

What a fantastic zoo. I'm usually disappointed in the habitats that the zoo has created for the animals at most other zoos, but Dallas zoo really gets it right on building an area for the animals that mirrors their natural habitat and is large enough proportionate to the animal. Great trip for the family.

I really enjoy going to this zoo. I remember thinking the Fort Worth zoo was better, but not anymore. My son enjoys seeing the animals and playing in the kids area. It is very fun. We have already gone two times so far this year and plan to go again this summer!

Best zoo in Dallas. JK... This really is a nice zoo, better than Ft. Worth. You can stop by member services and they will apply your admission and parking to a new membership which allows free parking and admission if you like it as much as we do. There is also a Dart rail station right next to the entrance of you don't feel like dealing with traffic.

My kids love going to the Dallas zoo! We always ride the carousel while we are there. We like to ride the monorail as well but it was closed today. They have a great variety of animals! We also love feeding the giraffes long story short we love this place !

This is a relatively small zoo, especially considering the price of admission and parking. Be sure to arrive early for parking- it fills up super fast. The staff is extremely friendly, and most of the zoo is under tree cover, which is nice. Some of the animals aren't visible on walking paths and with their monorail broken, not accessible at all for views.

Marc at the Elephant Talk was very knowledgeable, answered all of our group's questions and gave us some back story on how the elephants came to the zoo. If you get a chance to hear him speak, do it.

I attended this zoo as a field trip chaperone. It wasn't a bad experience, but maybe only a mediocre one. I appreciated that all of the exhibits felt natural and the animals appeared comfortable in them. There were several enrichment experiences that we were able to see and do. The size of the zoo was perfectly manageable in the time we had for the field trip, however if I had paid full price we wouldn't have had a half day worth of things to see and do. We were here for three hours including lunch time and we finished the entire zoo in that time. The giraffe feeding experience was really cool and unique. The kids also really enjoyed the cheetahs and the reptile house. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and they seemed to really enjoy interacting with the kids.

This zoo offers a good experience. I loved the green coverage, wide variety of trees. The animals housed by the zoo is standard nothing special. They do offer animal interactions for public like feeding the Gorilla, giraffe etc but all these are charged extra. It will take you around 3 hours if you want to see all the animals and not rush your trip.

This zoo is lovely. We've also been to three of their special holiday events, namely the zoo of lights (twice) and their Valentines Day event. Everyone I've encountered from the info desk receptionist to the zookeepers seems to really love working with the animals and the public and is in a good mood, ready to go above and beyond. A little of my faith in humanity is restored when I'm at this zoo. :)

If I could give this zoo zero stars I would! They charge $15 to borrow a wheel chair and $25 for a motorized one. How could they take advantage of people with mobility issues like that??? They should be ashamed of themselves!!! Even at Walmart you can borrow a motorized wheelchair for free!!!

It's pretty good, but there are not a lot to see. The African animals are the main thing you can watch. Rest of the zoo is not much. However, the environment is really beautiful. I went on a weekday, and there weren't a lot of people; so, it was very relaxing. If you go to Dallas, it's worth a visit here.

We had an excellent time despite a few mishaps. The animatronic dinosaur exhibits and animals were awesome, however, there is room for improvement. For example, can't see the gorillas because of tall shrubs, penguins and otters were never out, couldn't find a hippo, the giraffes are over eating lettuce, bathrooms are scarce, and finding "the tunnel" that leads you to the other half of the zoo needs to be better advertised. I don't like being negative, and we honestly had a good time. I would like to go again, in hopes of having a better experience. I would still recommend going, because I feel supporting your local zoo is important.

Animals good. Staff never has any idea of special events going on. Paid online for a special Valentine's Day event and almost didn't get let in the gate to go to it. They are never prepared and informed about what events are going on at the zoo.

Dallas Zoo is far and away one of my favorites in the country. The habitats are well thought out and every keeper I have spoken with has shown genuine enthusiasm for the animals and their wellbeing. There are many educational and interactive opportunities for kids (and adults), and the Zoo Member happy hours are a lot of fun. The holiday light show is also an incredible experience and really makes you feel more connected to our community. I feel very fortunate to have this zoo in our city.
