I recently purchased an Inspire FT2 Functional Trainer fully loaded. What a great piece of kit. I have always been an advocate of free weights and I continue to be so and still use the power rack and barbell for the major compound lifts but the FT2 can not only replace all the isolation exercises normally done with dumbbells but can also replace all the major compound lifts either as a Smith Machine or as a Cable Cross Over Machine. Unless you are totally anti machines then this piece of kit is all you need
The FT2 is particularly useful when individuals of differing capabilities train together as is my and my nephew's case. He is 32 years old, 6' 3" and 100kg body weight. On the other hand I am 68 years old 5' 10" and 79kg body weight. The weights are so quick and easy to change that our workout times have been cut to two thirds of previous times.
My kit incudes the upgraded weight stacks and so far we have not had to use the weight multiplier for any lifts. The extra friction in the cables and pulleys seems to make the lifts heavier than the number of plates used would indicate while at the same time the machine is as smooth as any fully commercial kit that I have ever used.
The pull up bar, on its highest setting allows me to do pull ups with straight legs and the bar's geometry, diameter and knurling are all very good.
The leg developer attachment is surprising smooth for both leg extensions and hamstring curls and just, with maybe an inch to spare, allows these exercises to be performed in a standard garage width of 98"
Assembly of the FT2 Trainer, Bench and Leg Developer was straight forward by following a first class assembly manual and the excellent identification of parts. It does take a while even without any issues.

I used Craig to fit out my gym at home. definitely not the biggest job he has ever done but he was excellent. I'd spoken to a couple of people but Craig was by far the most knowledgeable, his rates were very competitive but also he was reassuringly honest and objective about what I should have, he didn't try and sell me stuff I didn't need or that wouldn't fit in ok. The delivery and installation of all the equipment was excellent. I'd use Craig again for any fitness equipment and wouldn't hesitate in recommending him.
Even in these difficult times the communication and delivery was spot on. Ordered a few YOUNIX bumper plates and they are quality. Will stick with this company to get the garage gym built up.
