Located just by the beehive, this hotel has everything you could need. Nice quiet rooms that are a very good size.

This is a boutique hotel in a great location. Wi-fi is fast. I love that there is a bath tub and scented bath tea bags in my suite.
Of the hotels I've stayed in internationally, this is right up there as a favourite.
Always a great hotel to stay at, really great value for a 5 star hotel. The staff are helpful & have often upgraded us when it has been a special occasion like birthdays, anniversaries etc. The restaurant offers a tasty breakfast bar & there s also a fantastic jacuzzi on site. Would recommend the room & breakfast package for $199 that is featured regularly.
Over priced Cupboard doors falling off Draws that don't close
I travel to Wellington each week for work and I only stay at the Bolton.
We stayed at The Bolton as we were evacuated from Hotel across the road. the staff were excellent. from the cafe providing refreshments to the concierge. We stayed in a 2 brm apartment with outstanding views. The beds were lavish and so comfortable. I would highly recommend this Hotel for a comfortable stay.
Very pleasurable stay, amazing service, team at Artisan Dining top notch, Sara was so friendly, welcoming and professional. We were made to feel at home. Food was excellent.
Nice place with all the facilities like kitchen, general swimming pool & gym
Loved it. We had three rooms. Clean tidy homey. Kitchen well equipped. Fridge toaster tea pot coffee pot. Quiet. Easy to get to. Love the area. Really nice stay.
We stayed at the Bolton for my wife's birthday. Our room was excellent, it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Had a great time, will definitely stay again.
Great location, nice clean rooms with good amenities, good selection of toiletries provided, friendly staff
Decent hotel, but there are many options in this area.
Wonderful staff and a great place to stay. Our verdict is: We want to go back!
Not the best room at level 12. Parking expensive. Pool fantastic.
I attended this destination for the high tea. The surroundings, the service and the food was excellent. Thank you Bolton.
Clean and quiet. Overlooked the city gardens. Close to parliament grounds and lower terrace.
Amazing service, delicious chef restaurant, great location in town. Will definitely recommend and likely to be back when back in NZ!
We stayed in the residential suite for our wedding. It was perfect for getting ready and had spectacular views over all of Wellington. The facilities were fantastic as were the staff. Our guests stayed in the hotel as well and loved their rooms. Would highly recommend, the Bolton went above and beyond for us!
Every time we stay there, service is sublime, room is gorgeous, and it's a lovely escape!
Good staff. Room a bit tired but clean - management assured us that the rooms on this floor are due to be renovated in the next few months.
Wonderful hotel. Lots of amenities and perfect downtown location
Very nice new hotel, a little bit far from the CBD for us but still enjoyed our stay. The valet car parking system is pretty cool.
We stayed here for a couple of nights in while in Wellington. Staff are amazing and ready to assist at any time. The one bedroom apartment was clean, tidy with great views of the city - everything you need is there including a washing machine with a dryer. Recommended hotel!
Great stay , friendly , professional staff and wonderful accommodation with style. Will return and recommend without hesitation.
Everything is classy here, the staff are fantastic, the food amazing and the rooms well appointed.
Hello there is a nice environment and I thank all the staff working during the stay.
Great place to stay. Everything was clean and comfortable.
Staff were lovely and helpful
Food was beautiful.
I will definitely stay again
Great staff, friendly, helpful and efficient. Great food, beautifully presented. Compliments all round.
Located at the parliament end of town, so relatively quiet on weekends. The room we had was small, but functional and well furnished. The only fault was a crease in the carpet. Everything else in the room was great. The staff were amazing, nothing was any trouble at all. They looked after our luggage while we went out for the day and had good umbrellas to borrow for the rain.
Comfortable but corporate. My family of three adults took a 2 bedroom apartment. Soft mattresses. The kitchenette was adequate but needed some revisions: stained chopping boards were a bit gross, and the range of crockery, cutlery and glassware is a bit limited (coffee plungers are small). The view over the cemetery and Bolton street is South-West but pleasant, though on the 4th floor there is strong exposure to the Sofitel Hotel opposite and the street, so it's not fully private with the curtains open. The space felt smaller than the photos suggest and not especially upmarket, though inoffensive. Internet is free but requires browser authentication and frequent re-connection, which gets dull quickly. The minibar is only for those on an expense account and the restaurant pricing is a bit sharp; longer-term visitors will soon find alternatives nearby. The position and facilities, as they are, best suit business and political visitors. Unfortunately for our family vacation, the weekend pricing isn't demand-adjusted and we couldn't find comparable quality accommodation with a similar layout in the more social part of Wellington (around Courtenay Place and Te Aro). There are still gaps in the market.
Wonderful location, very nice, clean , friendly hotels, full equipment, have everything you need.
They treat all customer as a VIP, beautiful room got everything we need, very clean, there has I pad in the room, I can check weather, find local attractions, restaurants...
Small but very nice hotel. Great staff and very enjoyable meals. Worth every cent we spent there.
I had high hopes for the Bolton Hotel, with a great recommendation from a direct manager of mine. The service was definitely 5 star, but the room was not. Uncomfortable bed, TV not working properly, air conditioning not working properly (stuck at 26 degrees...), few amenities... unfortunately not worth the $255 my company paid for the night.
Best Hotel in Wellington by far....not over priced like some & good size room. You gotta ask for one of their sausage rolls - you'll order 6 after you have tasted the first one! Get a box & take some home....I always do :-)
Only negative comment I can make is that the washer/dryer didn't dry the clothes.
Excellent hotel with old fashioned customer service (in a good way!) Nothing is too much trouble - recommended.
Great service friendly staff clean rooms comfy beds
Have stayed at the Bolton many times and never been disappointed. Great staff and high quality, clean and tidy rooms. Valet parking and restaurant. Located a bit away from restaurants and bars so a bit quieter and nothing is ever that far away in Wellington.
We came very late at night and they were so nice!! The stuff are so nice they even upgraded us because it s our honeymoon trip.
We try to use the washing machine and it s was broken so they took our clothes and wash is for us thanks you so much
Staff were amazing and the layout and general feel off the suite were great however I only give a 3 star as the beds were terrible. The mattress looked and felt like it was at least 20 years old which was quite disappointing considering we checked into a 4star hotel.
Just a brief visitor here visiting friends. Conceige couldn't have been nicer.! Much appreciated!
It's a really good place to stay, central location and really modern with a high standard inside. Would recommend. ( My previous 3 star and "Good" comment was a place holder, sorry!)
Called in with family to visit another family member as they were in town for the evening. The cafe staff were plesant and helpful.
Lovely hotel. Smallish rooms but full kitchen and nicely appointed.
why am i giving this place a 5 again. how do you keep tricking me like this Bolton?
Clean and modern. Super friendly staff. Nice and quiet. Would stay again. Love the iPads in the rooms.
Excellent self-contained units with cooking facilities, a generous en suite bath plus shower, and a small living area. Spotless with modern decor, the hotel is a nice area with a handful of nearby takeaway places and small restaurants. The CBD is nearby, and other landmarks are a short stroll away. The hotel staff have impeccable manners as well as being friendly and helpful. The Bolton Hotel is no more than 20 minutes drive from the airport.
Just Chkd in, it turns out the room we had booked is what they call "sleep and go" type of room, so expect this: not much room to hang or place your clothes, Just keep them in your luggage and also there is no in room safe, instead there's a big wasted space for coffee and tea and a fridge.
Great location. Wow another great place to stay in Wellington.
The Bolton was very accommodating after my Air New Zealand flight had been cancelled, providing everything and more. Location is handy to the train station and service was exceptional. Would highly recommend the Bolton to anyone visiting Wellington.
I loved this hotel - the room was beautifully presented and immaculate. The location is very central, and only a kilometre away from the entertainment precinct.
The room was clean, the staff were nice. The location was perfect. Recommended for business travel.
great hotel and staging base to discover Wellington!
Great service, good amenities, well appointed room, and good food. All round, a very pleasant stay.
Only been to restaurant it was truly lovely, food was so yummy .. staff were super helpful with a fussy eater ... happily recommend and go again :)
Wonderful staff amazing and room very clean love every minute we stayed
Had a really nice stay here. The gentleman on the front desk was outstanding. Really nice, genuinely friendly. Some great tips for things to do and places to eat.
Our room was great too, modern and clean. I'll happily stay here again.
Great ambience
Friendly, helpful staff
Very good service
I was very happy with my stay there. $199 per night and the breakfast and overall quality of the hotel was excellent. This will be my new regular from now on.
Nice spacious rooms with separate lounge and kitchen, great little gym and pool. Breakfast buffet wasn't bad either. Very nice hotel.
Friendly staff, nice rooms, the restaurant is fantastic
I've stayed here a few times and felt like the staff was well prepared to handle any situation. The on site valet parking service was prompt and courteous. The restaurant was fabulous and had plenty of seating for our group. The rooms were spacious and felt like a home away from home. I'd give 6 stars if I could!
Very nice hotel, beautiful, nice environment. Good attention.
Absolutely love this place. 2nd time me being here and it's better than the first. I came during covid and none of the facilities were open. Now the spa, sauna, pool and gym are open and woah. Staff are amazing, cleaning team are amazing. Thank you so much from the crime scene cleaners team
Good service, friendly staff, comfortable and clean.
What was once the shiny star of the terrace accommodation scene is starting to show signs of aging and it's glimmer is dwarfed by the opulence of the sofitel across the road.
Visited Artisan Cafe for morning break. Good coffee, and cosy (ground level) feel. The food looked nice although I didn't try any. Next time .
