Chad J. Kilburn at this office is more interested in being your accountant and administering your estate than insuring the clear title of the property you are selling. The questions asked by him were of private affairs and had nothing to do with title insurance. He refused more direct answers and required me to submit financial data that was none of his business. He couldn't even do his own search for liens, instead insisting I provide him with the information from my lawyer. No other title office in WA that I have dealt with has asked these types of personal questions. Title officers are a dime-a-dozen. Avoid this one.

Title company had 3 weeks to prepare documents. Only was able to learn amount for wire transfer of down payment 1 day before closing. Money sent exactly the amount they asked for. 2 hours later I received a phone call stating they were off by a little over just 13 dollars. Unfortunately this meant wire transfers were closed for the day. After trying to call them for 30 minutes decided to take my luck into my own hands and drive a personal check to their office without getting a hold of them to confirm if they'd even take it. So Friday before a long holiday weekend I drive to Bellevue from the south and arrive at 4;30pm before they close still not knowing if they would take a hand written check. They accepted the check and after another one hour of waiting I was all cleared away.

Another instance just recently had my parents closing date in jeopardy due to CW Title not having closing documents in order after multiple assurances along the way they were on track.

If working with WIndermere then likely you'll have to work with CW Title and encounter significant issue's in an already stressful situation.

They responded with my opinion matters, but this is just for show because we have tried emailing with the representative, Jennifer Robins and she has offered little to no help or explanation of why she continues to spell our name incorrectly on important documents nor does she offer any remedy when we gave her two options to fix the issue.

Actually, it would affect our taxes (confirmed with Recording, Accessor's and also another title company we asked). We asked them to contact the county accessor to update the names for tax purposes and they basically still refuse to help with this even though it's their mistake. We wouldn't have had this issue if they actually sent in the correct document that we approved.

We asked Jennifer,
- Why didn't you use the most recent Excise Tax Affidavit with the correct spelling?
- Further, why did you send us the Excise Tax Affidavit to send only to tell us later it's not accepted?
- Lastly, why is the recorded Excise Tax Affidavit different from the one seen in the .pdf package my lender had sent to for records.

None of these questions were answered.

She continued to insist that she got everything completed in a timely manner (nope, missed my first signing appointment) and insinuated that she had done me a favor by sending my documents internationally.

Further, it's amazing that they will respond to a review quicker than they will to client emails. The manager, Linda Borselli, has been CC-ed after the initial issues that we were facing and has not responded at all to any of the ongoings.

If you want a smooth and easy transaction with your name spelled correct, no excuses, no frills, please, look elsewhere.

Would NOT recommend CW Title.

To date I've done 4 different transactions w/ different title companies and CW is the absolute worst. Actually, they are so bad that they shouldn't be in this business considering the important of the documents and transactions that they handle.

Title company made numerous spelling errors in my name as well as document preparation. It had to be revised 4-5 times until corrected, then the person handling my transaction, Jennifer Robins basically said everything was fine. But no, it wasn't I closed later than expected, which costed my a couple hundred dollars and had to ask my lender to speak to CW Title management about the situation because things got so bad.

Title company never updated me about the process of my transaction, when the documents were received, released, recorded, closed. No one even sent me a email to confirm that I would be wired my money.

Title company recorded the documents with the county, but never sent me the clean copies. I go online to do a search and to find that they submitted STILL the wrong documents and crossed out our names on it, which again, were spelled incorrectly. They removed the correct documents that we signed off on and didn't use it! What is worse is that they sent back the document package to my lender, who sent me a .pdf of the entire package.

In the package the document they recorded and the document that is in the package are also two completely different ones.

Find a company that you can trust. CW is definitely not it.

Will not recommend this to anyone, we had almost no contact from them until the closing, got called at 8:45am on the closing date, asking us to be there in an hour or else can't be closed on time. customer service was unprofessional, rude and impolite. Even thought everyone including: seller agent, lender and all us arguing/blaming late on schedule, never notified anyone (emailed with no reply) they still think they are SO RIGHT! instead rush us or actually is ordering us to be there in 1 hour does not even think people do have work and schedules. If can and you want your closing to be smooth, pls do not use them. same price as others anyways, then why not use a better service and get great experience when buying a house

CW Title and Escrow has done a great job for me and my clients for the past several years. They were able to flawlessly close an all cash deal in just 4 days during the holiday season and are quick to respond when needed. They believe in doing the right thing and care about their clients.

Wonderful team! CW Title handled our escrow to sell our home. They were professional, listened to our queries and explained in simple terms, and handled the process very well. We had a single point of contact however, whenever she was not immediately available, others took the call and handled the issues -- they were fully up to speed. That's teamwork.

AWFUL! If I could give them one eighth of a star I would. I have a title background and have a very good idea how stuff should go. This company needs an overhaul.
Our transaction was not a bank loan, so I expected CW Title would be setting up the servicing for our transaction. I was really surprised when I was told In a very rude tone by an unprofessional CJ Hartwell, their team lead, that they do not set up servicing, no title company does that in Washington. She belittled my experience in the business.
I had to call Evergreen Servicing who told me CJ Harrell is wrong. They mostly get the set up packages from title companies and attorney offices. Never from a buyer.
I helped the seller get the loan set up through Evergreen. We had to resign one doc because it wasn t provided to the seller after recording. Oh and they recorded late. Good thing we had a friendly transaction with the seller.
I recommend First American Title.

They seemed competent at doing their job of clearing the title, but they overwhelmed me with email about fraud to the point that it has no effect. Additionally they added some junk fees, or the cost of their doing business to my fees. When I asked them about this they gave me some lies about cash transfer cost. it was no big deal in the overall scheme but when I make it super easy on them with a cash purchase, I expect them to reciprocate.

Bought our first house, and CW was great every step of the way. I asked lots of dumb questions and they were patient and kind as I figured out the process. Closing went smoothly, paperwork with the notary took less than an hour, and we were able to buy our house. Would definitely recommend CW, Kim DeLeon and Andy Macapinlac in particular were awesome.
