I was less than thrilled with my visit to this off...
I was less than thrilled with my visit to this office. I chose it because my husband has been going here for years (before we were married), so I thought it would be easiest for me to go where they already had our insurance information. I called to get an appointment regarding some tooth pain and had to wait two weeks to get in. The day before my appointment, they called to cancel it and rescheduled me for the next week (now three weeks from when the pain started). I went in for the exam, and was informed I might need a root canal, but they wanted to try something else first (which would have been a waste of time and money, it was clear from the x-ray that I needed a root canal). Dr. Brown was condescending and rude, berating my oral hygiene (I brush and floss every single day, but thanks to genetics have weak teeth). I was scheduled to go on a business trip at the end of the week, but since I was in pain I expected them to be able to squeeze me in somewhere during the couple days before my trip. They did not. They scheduled me an appointment another TWO WEEKS from my exam date and sent me on my way (which would have been 5 weeks from the start of the pain). Three days into my trip, I was in excruciating pain and could not concentrate or even sleep. I went to an emergency dentist, where they confirmed I needed a root canal. They took me back immediately, completed the root canal, and fitted me with a crown, all within a few hours. And the pain was gone! This experience has shown me what a dental experience SHOULD be like, and I will most definitely never be returning to Cumming Dental Associates.
