Dr. Brown is very good, considerate and listens well. Several times I've had urgent need to be seen and they work me in. Entire staff is professional, good cost estimates, and results are great! I highly recommend them.

I really like the facility, and the location. And, while they did take me in fairly quickly, I had to wait a really long time for the dentist to come in!

This is the best dentist office I have ever went to. I have been a patient for well over a decade. I live an hour away now, but I still drive over to get the best dental care. I have seen a lot of the dentists there and they are amazing.

Worst experience I've ever had at the dentist other than the lady at the front desk. First time I have ever left the dentist in tears. Not careful in trying to not cause you pain

I had fillings done a couple years ago. Kept having shooting pain after i left. I went to another dentist and they had to fix the filling because it was done wrong. I went there a few weeks ago for an extraction bwcause they were the only place available. They did some fillings while i was there and same thing on BOTH SIDES of my mouth. Now i cant eat anything om either side of my mouth. I will NEVER go there again. I gave them the benefit of doubt and it was a huge mistake...

There aren't enough words to say how much I LUV Dr. Swain & her Asst. Sam. They are so nice & friendly. I always feel well taken care of! I had some crowns put in recently & they turned out Beautifully!! Because of them I got my smile back & so much more!!! I will be a patient for life!! The front office staff is also very helpful & friendly as well

From the moment I walked in and was greeted with a smile, everyone there was great to interact with. I explained that it had been a few years since I had been to the dentist. I had full xrays done by Kimberly, a cleaning by Hannah and exam by Dr. Esker. They explained everything thoroughly. Unlike my last dentist, they never tried to up-sell me on things I didn't care about and I left with a bag full of items that they chose for me and I will actually use.

I was told I could use my Idental insurance until it expired when I had my teeth cleaned 3 months ago. When I arrived 1-22-20 for my next appointment they said they would not accept the insurance. When I confirmed my appointment the said they would call me prior to the appointment and let me know about the insurance. they did not call and this is the insurance they said they would accept so I bought it. They wasted my time and I will never go back again. They handled the matter in a very unprofessional manner.

Customer oriented service, they take the time with you and answer any of your questions.

Great first experience with the Dr. and the staff. Will be going back.

Cumming dental off bald ridge has been great for the past several years that i have been going there, never had to wait very long for my appointment, staff have always been very friendly almost like family, while cleaning a lot of talk about each other familes, weather, movies etc. Dr.Kramer is the best ! Friendly , comforting, reassuring, informative of the procedure being done. I am very satisfied and any opportunity i have to refer cumming dental on bald ridge i do !

We needed to find a family dentist that was in our insurance network and Cumming Dental Associates fit the bill perfectly! The staff is super friendly. We had a very little wait time and we were in and out within an hour, which is impressive as we were new patients. My kids loved how modern the facility was and actually liked having x-rays taken, which was always a bad experience at our other dentist's office. I have always dreaded going to the dentist and dreaded having to find a new one. I am so glad I found Cumming Dental Associates and wish I had made the change sooner. All that out of pocket money could have been used for so much other stuff!

Dr. Short and Joann are the best! Just had my dental cleaning and I have follow up work - as expected - when I was younger I had huge fillings as I had no dental care until I was age 24. Dr. Short takes the time to explain what needs to be done and together we develop a plan that will work for both of us. I am blessed to have Dr. Short as he instantly removes the anxiety when he enters the room. In addition, Joann is amazing. Before I know it my cleaning is done. She is friendly, she makes me laugh (well I try not to laugh when she is cleaning my teeth - just smile). She makes me feel at ease. I also have to say Sandra has been an angel in getting me in when I have really urgent issues. I really do not think any pain can compare to tooth pain. Sandra is kind and very compassionate and always follows up and follows through.

The staff is awesome and friendly. Great customer service! I called as a new patient in and I got in the next day and also have my tooth treatment the next day! Dr. Blake is an excellent doctor, very knowledgeable about the profession, very thorough and very caring. He performed work on my tooth and the experience was very pleasant. Ashley has good skills on dealing with the insurance and Karla, the nurse was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this dental office.

I lived in the Cumming area for a period of time and used Cumming Dental Associates. I no longer live in the area, but still make the hour+ drive when I need dental care. The office itself is immaculate as well as the staff and dentists being very knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Kevin Short is amazing as far as his work and personality. I would recommend anyone to use them for all your dental needs.

I m in pain and they want me to wait two more weeks before I can have an appointment. Whoever was on the phone didn t care about my condition. That is not what you want in the dentist office.

I have been going here for me and my family s dental care for about 15 years. I absolutely Christy and Dr Esker to the point that I look forward to my bi annual cleaning visits!

I came in for a couple of teeth to be removed. I was so scared on my way there. But Dr upshaw and his team did such an amazing job I felt no pain and they made sure I was calm and comfortable. Cumming dental is my go to dentist.

The hygienist was very nice as was the Dentist. I was there about a tooth that was giving me problems and that is the first thing I talked about.
The Dentist talked about things that were not bothering me and the problem tooth was put aside until after other things were taken care of.
I ended up walking out feeling like I was just a dollar sign.

The staff was amazing. The experience definitely was different then any other doctor visit I ve ever been to. The office was very modern and up to date.

I was less than thrilled with my visit to this office. I chose it because my husband has been going here for years (before we were married), so I thought it would be easiest for me to go where they already had our insurance information. I called to get an appointment regarding some tooth pain and had to wait two weeks to get in. The day before my appointment, they called to cancel it and rescheduled me for the next week (now three weeks from when the pain started). I went in for the exam, and was informed I might need a root canal, but they wanted to try something else first (which would have been a waste of time and money, it was clear from the x-ray that I needed a root canal). Dr. Brown was condescending and rude, berating my oral hygiene (I brush and floss every single day, but thanks to genetics have weak teeth). I was scheduled to go on a business trip at the end of the week, but since I was in pain I expected them to be able to squeeze me in somewhere during the couple days before my trip. They did not. They scheduled me an appointment another TWO WEEKS from my exam date and sent me on my way (which would have been 5 weeks from the start of the pain). Three days into my trip, I was in excruciating pain and could not concentrate or even sleep. I went to an emergency dentist, where they confirmed I needed a root canal. They took me back immediately, completed the root canal, and fitted me with a crown, all within a few hours. And the pain was gone! This experience has shown me what a dental experience SHOULD be like, and I will most definitely never be returning to Cumming Dental Associates.

I've been using them for 23 years and have always had a great result no matter what the procedure was!

Today I went in to get the process started to have a new mouth guard made. Dr. Upshaw told me I did not need a new one at this time after inspecting my mouth guard. His honesty saved me a few hundred dollars! Kayla and the rest of the staff were very friendly as well!

Firstly, I was seen AT my appointment time!
I saw Dr Esker. Her assistant Lindsey was so sweet and quickly had me x-rayed and set up for the Dr, who came in right away. Dr Esker was kind, gentle, and did excellent work. I very much appreciated that she did her best to do the necessary work I needed without pushing any unnecessary procedures. Felt like I was being taken care of by one of my close friends. Highly recommend.

My husband and I have been going to Cumming Dental Associates for over 15 years. We tried a number of dental practices for several years before finally settling on this practice. We are totally satisfied with Cumming Dental Associates. The office is very clean, the dentists and staff are very friendly and they do excellent dental work. We recommend them to anyone wanting a good dental practice.

Based on my experiences, I believe this dental practice 'stacks your bill' with unnecessary work and services. I've had excellent dental hygiene my entire life and suddenly when I changed to this dentist I needed my first root-canal followed by a crown amounting to thousands of dollars in mostly uninsured charges. This week I went in for a routine cleaning and before I walked out the door they took my credit card for over $400 in charges. Yes, $404 for a cleaning that cost me $335 out-of-pocket! They actually doubled-up on the XRAYs, taking and charging me for both bite-wing and panoramic on the same appointment! It isn't because they noticed anything from the cleaning or the bite-wings because they didn't even look at them before escorting me to the panoramic machine; it seemed routine and part of their game! When I questioned why they needed both and that it seemed redundant to me, they first hinted that my insurance company needed it, but when I questioned why they would not pay for it suddenly there was a "mistake" in their claim process and that they would be refunding hundreds of dollars to me (busted!). Their claims admin said I needed to talk to the dentist when I come back for my next appointment about why they doubled-up on the XRAYs!

Furthermore, now they want to go ahead and replace a filling that they claim has chipped and must be replaced. Put me through more pain and suffering for a supposed chip that I can't see or feel and have no problem with? They threatened that it could turn into another root-canal if I didn't.
I doubt it seriously; I'm convinced that they add unnecessary services to stack your bill. To them it is +$ but to us it is pain and suffering followed by -$. I'm finding a new dentist!

Best group not only in Forsyth county...but best group in the state Georgia!

Awesome practice...always get back to the hygienist at appointment time and everyone from the receptionist to the hygienist to the dentist to the billing office is as nice and professional as they can be.

Recently moved out of state, but after a horrible experience with a new dentist, I have to say, I would gladly fly to Georgia to be seen here. Dr. Esker is extremely kind, personable, and gentle. The rest of the staff are the same, and they are great at making you feel comfortable. I have horrible anxiety going in, and they do their best to put me at ease. I also had some work done with Dr. Short and was satisfied. You won't be disappointed here.

Jenna is THE BEST hygienist we ever had! If you want perfectly cleaned and polished teeth without bleeding and feeling butchered up gums? Then go to Cumming Dental and ask for Jenna. You wont be disappointed.

I had a wonderful experience at this office. Hunter, the hygienist, and Dr. Basu were amazing! Hunter was very kind and helpful in answering my questions and Dr. Basu was so friendly and did a wonderful job on my filling. The treatment she recommended was fair and and reasonable and she did an excellent job. I would recommend anyone that you can trust her completely for treatment. I will definitely be staying at this office especially to see them!

Susan Kramer is a talented Dentist and she knows what is best to correct my issues. However , I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income and wish I come get a discount for my age. Also, I use to make payments up to 6 months on my bill, but that is not allowed anymore. That is not customer focused.

I had a GREAT experience at the dentist. Everyone is so kind and takes an interest in you as a person. The hygienist remembers me and things we had talked about in the past! I LOVE my dentist office.

I had to cancel my dental cleaning and they cannot fit me in for again for 2 months. I also went with an abscessed tooth, had to wait for an appointment and then was told I had to go somewhere else for an endodontist to do the root canal but back to them for the temporary crown which the endodontist recommended be done as soon as possible. I had to wait 3 weeks for that appointment. I had told them at 2 previous cleanings that the tooth had been bothering me and I was pretty sure that I had cracked it eating a caramel apple. They could never find anything but the endodontist found the crack immediately. I have been a long time customer but the practice has steadily gone downhill. I will be going to a new one.

Great experience each and every appointment , they were on time and professional as always.

Overall a good trip! Needed no X-rays or fillings, or crowns, or root canals.
Fast cleaning with water pick, followed by minimal standard scraping and thorough polishing; quick eval by Dr. Upshaw allowed me to leave in less than an hour. It doesn't always go this well.

I had to have a filling done by Dr. Upshaw at lunch because I was at work. I was out of there in 45 minutes. The staff is always friendly there.

I truly think that they care about the patient and there has never been any pressure to do any procedure that I wasn't ready for. Dr. Upshaw has been great and a pleasure to work with. The only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is they are somewhat expensive and unless you have insurance that pays everything except co pay, expect to come out of pocket with payment. Depending on the procedure this can add up very quickly.

I am a new patient. I was pleasantly surprised that U had almost no pain for two crowns. Also, I went into the room and was seen almost immediately. I can't really ask for more.

I go to this dental office with my 3 oldest children for regular cleanings. The staff is always very friendly. There is hardly ever any wait. They have never objected my having my 4 children in the room at times. Everyone is super nice. As a matter of fact, going to the dentist is a treat to my kids. As we don't have any issues, they look forward to going and picking out a prize afterward. :)

Due to a change in insurance, I had to leave my current dentist. After reading some of the reviews, I gave Cumming Dental Associates at Bald Ridge a try. First of all, I was extremely impressed by Emily, my hygienist. Not only does she do a great job, she's very friendly and truly interested in you as a person. In addition, Dr. Swain mentioned an issue with one of my crowns, nothing that was serious at the moment, but something that needed to be dealt with in the future. As I had only had the new insurance for a few months, not having to have the crown replaced at that time saved me a lot of money! Kudos to Emily, Dr. Swain, and the great staff at CDA!

Love this place and the people. Always greeted warmly with a welcoming smile from Kimberly, who is always glad to answer any questions I may have. And then there is Melissa, my dental hygienist, whom I've been seeing for all these many years. She is a complete professional, knows her stuff, answers any questions I may have with complete knowledge and candidness. Everyone talks about dental fear, hating to go to the dentist. Not me. I love going, fear nothing , and feel that I'm visiting family. Have always loved my experiences at Dental Cumming Associates.

While they are friendly, I felt that they were in it for mostly to "find" problematic dental issues. For example, once the dentist stated I needed 3 crowns, he then said "we can start with your worst one and then move to the others when your insurance year starts over" The fact that we were working around my insurance and somewhat focused on the cost and money seemed concerning and somewhat shady--if they are so important, why would you even mention that?

Love the new Vickery location. Great practice, professional and convenient. I can always get an appointment. A+++

(Dr. Maya Basu...Absolutely Wonderful)

My soda habit finally caught up with me and landed me in the dentist's office on short notice. On a Wednesday night, I had managed to break my tooth while trying to bite into a hard piece of candy. The candy won.

Dr. Short has been my trusted dentist for years, but his calendar was not open for an appointment until the following Tuesday. I implicitly believe in this man's dental skills, so it was a bit of a letdown to not be able to see the dentist who has done virtually everything for me (fillings, crown, wisdom teeth).

But the practice has almost ten dentists, and when you have a broken tooth, you don't exactly want to gamble with that type of pain over a weekend. So I took an appointment with a new dentist (Dr. Maya Basu) at the practice, and was pleasantly surprised to find another great doctor.

There was virtually no pain involved, and she managed to have me out the door in about 35 minutes. Dr. Basu did not push to do other dental work, and she was able to keep the tooth intact enough to avoid a costly root canal.

So if you are looking for a dentist, or if you just want to try someone who goes out of her way to make you comfortable, Dr. Basu is a great choice. I walked out the door and called a friend of mine to brag about dental visit. Yeah, I bragged about a dental experience.

Love the staff and the job they do but I ve always had to wait. This time they called and asked to move my appointment and they were still 15 minutes late. I was 5 minutes early out of respect.

This place is efficiently run, well skilled, and genuinely friendly!

Dr. Esker is simply wonderful. She and her hygienist made me feel comfortable and at ease with my worries and the pain I was in. She let me know exactly what was going on, and made sure that the treatment I received was only what I needed. She has excellent communication skills and is very compassionate. Everyone at this practice, from the front desk to the billing department is up front and very friendly. I will never need to find another dentist again!

I have been coming to this practice to see Dr.Swain since I was like 6 years old, and she really is the best. Me and my sisters all only use her. I m not the most fond of going to the dentist, but this group really makes it better with their kindness and good bedside manner. Everyone at this practice does a great job from their front office, the schedulers, and the physicians.

This is the friendliest and most calming dentist office I've ever been in. They are prompt and always clearly explain what is going to happen and why. I always know how much a procedure will cost so I can plan my budget. Whenever we've had an emergency they are quick to get us in and they follow up afterwards. No more dentist anxiety!

Horrible billing practices! Now my wife has to wait 6 months for cleaning because they billed a service incorrectly to our insurance and could have advised differently. Rude appointment coordinator and they don t take responsibility or accountability for their mistakes. Won t be bringing my family here any longer.

Me and my husband both went yesterday to get our teeth cleaned .We saw Aspen Dental 2 weeks before and they said we had 14,000 worth of damage to our teeth between the both of us. Aspen Dental weren't professional and they were only focussed on making big money from us . (I personally am OCD with my teeth .I even professionally whiten my teeth and for Aspen to say my teeth were bad, well it truly shocked me bc I get regular cleanings). Aspen dental was a complete joke after talking with the dental hygenist and the dentist from Cumming Associates. Aspen said I had 6 cavities and Cumming Dental said I had 1 small one .Aspen said that my husbands gum levels were 7and 8's...but Cumming Dental said he had 3's and 4's with one 6 . Cumming Dental were so professional and so loving to our 9 month old baby that was with us. We felt right at home. I hope this helps eases someone's mind about coming here because this is truly the best dentist we have ever been to. Super sweet staff and AWESOME HYGENIST!!!

I have been seeing Dr Short for over 20 years and Bill has been cleaning my teeth for almost as long. I love this place and the way they treat my whole family. Even though they have really grown they still act like one big family.

Dr. Brown and Nicki were friendly, thoughtful, and professional. They made having a tooth extracted almost a pleasant experience. : ) I have to say that I experienced NO pain, except for the numbing shot. I recommend Dr. Brown, Nicki, and the rest of the staff at Cumming Dental Associates. They're professional and they care.

Special needs peds DDS. Market place location Dr. Dhawan. Our daughter fell and crack a couple of teeth on a Wednesday evening. I called several drs. Our daughter is nonverbal, has CP and PDD finding someone who could see her and provide sedation quickly was very difficult. I called Dr. D offices and spoke with Lauren whom was fantastic. I was so upset. She talked me through it, had me take pictures of our daughters mouth and yes they could see her. The doctor himself called me later that day. We came in for our appointment and Dr. D was comforting, acknowledged all of our concerns and approached our daughters care as a team. She was consciously sedated and tolerated the procedure better than we could have hoped. She had a couple of root canals and tooth build up. We will have to make adjustments as she grows prior to getting permanent crowns. The doctor also called us once we were home. I honestly cannot say enough about Dr.D and his team. Every effort done was our daughter's comfort. Ours too. SPECIAL NEEDS MOM'S & DAD'S it is a little drive but so worth it. I found a long term dentist for her care and could not be happier. Hopefully an Atlanta location will be in the future. We will see you soon Dr.D! Thank you the Bennett family.

I rarely post reviews but must for this office, all the staff I met have been great so far. I usually see Dr Basu at the Vickery location, she is very knowledgeable, great bedside manners and makes sure you are comfortable. Her nurse Melody is very caring and sweet as well.
