Great company to work for. It does take time getting use too especially with going to new job sites daily. However once you find the jobs you like it is the best. Great people in the office.
They hire any and everyone and human resources doesn't advocate or solve issues appropriately and accordingly. They are all about numbers and don't care about their employees. I loved it at first til I was sexually harassed by another employee.
Top company to work for if pursuing a career with culinary because of the high reputation of its clients. Job positions are not about cooking and prep cooking. There are jobs outside of cooking and prep cooking.
This agency is an ok agency to work for. The shifts here go quick. They tell you to just look online however, if you do that most shifts were gone before posted. I mostly got emailed about things they needed that day. The bosses are really understanding about taking the metro. I like how they have a system to publish it online but they were usually full by the time it posted.
this job will send you to places that are far, require parking, checking in,o yeah and all the places are understaffed so they want you to work til your back breaks.....mind you have no health insurance and are forced to sign a settlement clause prior to taking the job...on the same note the hiring manager will take there clients word before yours....Then they will suspend you and then they will do a email blast to other hiring managers because even though you dont have any dirty laundry they still want to air it out.........*cant forget how they treat you like a contractor....literally they will send you to work at places that are on strike so making a bad name for yourself goes with working for these lames.....only 2 people there that treat you with dignity is Jessica and Alex....they made things bearable.
Having worked for culinary staffing . I know that Culinary staffing offers a range of high quality and competent services. To employers seeking to find culinary and food service arrangements. They are a high service staffing agency that brings in advanced culinary and food service professional to the table. We used to frequently , and by frequently i mean almost every day there is a different event . Or more than one event per day. They also provide great scheduling and the locations are world class.
Possibly one of the WORST places to work. They don't respect their employees and don't pay them anything! They still cut paper checks and make you go to the office and pick it up. They refuse to do direct deposit because the owner is too damn cheap to do so. Also, Randy, the owner is a MESS! She is rude and disrespectful to her employees. She loves talking down to you and will do so looking like a BUM. Seriously she wears men's clothing that looks second hand and made for men. The managers are also very rude and will punish you for not taking jobs that are a million miles away and pay minimum wage. Seriously watch out for this place.
The person I spoke to from this service was condescending, rude, and lacked humanity. Choose this company if you want to feel like you re part of a computer system.
Worst company to work for , Leading managers have no respect for employees. Will disrespect you and cut your paycheck short , and expect you to show up with a bright smile ! Managers are not considerate of scheduling or placement of events , overall very bad experience with this company wouldn't recommend working here to anyone.
My Name is Laura. I absolutely love this company and its people. They gave me work when I was let go from my last job. I worked Part and Full Time, even as a Supervisor. Everyone was so fun to work with and they didn't care if you had Movie Star/Model looks like alot of Catering in LA.
Everyone treated me with respect and honesty and gave me the time of day with all my questions. Posting from my Boss's Page. Laura Bartholomew
Working for this staffing agency, I found out some serious things regarding the culinary world.
Worked there before and it was a awesome experience. Would like very much to work there again.i learned a lot with them
Worked for them for years now CANT complain good company!
My 5 stars are based on my experience with the hiring process, the short time it took from putting in my application to working my first job, the availability of jobs, the convenience of being able to use a computer or phone app to select what jobs I want to work based on location, day, shift, and pay, if u don't want it don't take it. I have only worked 1 day, and I am scheduled for another, but the shifts are available, multiple shifts and jobs every day. So far so good, the only negative I can see is not having the option of direct deposit vs picking up or having a paper check mailed to you every 2 weeks, also makes those first couple weeks a lil rough if you need gas, lunch, or transportation fees. Obviously in this industry most lunch is free, so that's an upside.
Nice staff. A little scattered at times, but it's good =]
Flexible work schedules. I can work around the days I have school. Working with them gives me different kitchen experience. I've worked with some great chefs being employed by culinary staffing.
They do a great job finding employment with reputable and respectful companies. I have been working with Randy and Dan for over 10 years. I am always welcomed back and feel appreciated. They are the best in Los Angeles.
Phenomenally easy to work with. They provide staffing for cooks, servers, and health and safety monitors for businesses reopening during covid-19. They take care of everything.
If your in the culinary industry, you need to work here!
A very welcoming place to work, but you have to pick up checks at the office which can be a hassle. In this case, enter through the front door of the 6363 building on Wilshire and take the elevator up to the third floor. You wont get in any other way.
Everyone in the office is really sweet. And they connect you with good
Just a while ago, I ve read Lots of negative/condescending comments from careless folk on Yelp.... that s surely uncalled for.... Well to all so-called freelancers looking to get filthy rich without effort & budget, please move along now!! Y know this agency works very hard to accommodate ppl s needs and schedules while always offering bountiful $$gigs$$/opportunities of all sorts related to food what have you.
CSS even has permanent job placement for employees who have earned certain amt of hours, and wish to do so... No other Temp agencies in LA obtain that Arsenal c mon now (eat your heart out Party Staff). You get to work all over L.A/ Orange/ Ventura counties + with unique locations, establishments, unforgettable ppl & sights; And not to mention, competitive rates and outstanding service for their clients (who are in need of our helping hands always). Highly appreciate the office members making it possible for us hunters looking forward to bringing home the Enchilada.. Thanks to Dan, Zsyrette, Dave, Rachel, Alexandra, Jessica, Angelica, Brian, Rose, Meredith, Mike?, Randy, Lucy the nice dog, and many more I can t seem to remember.. Yeh this place is rapidly growing both at HQ and the woodwork, proof positively true
Ok place to work needs more shifts and workers at least be able to eat an availability so that can get you shifts on those days you have off from your other job
Cool staff of people. Everyone has been extremely and helpful. A+
The place pays little and still uses paper checks for payroll.
There hiring everyone. I got the job and I get to work the world series Dodger's game
