Great place to take people who are visiting Cape Town for the first time. I have one issue though, not enough stalls in the ladies' bathroom and far too many tables and chairs during the 'clubbing' hours. Nothing worse than standing in heels all night and squashing near the bar because there is no space to dance/walk around

Great give with a lovely selection of music. The drinks and food take a long time to arrive. Fortunately they taste great when they eventually arrive. The waiting are bit very attentive and there is no designated smoking area so non smokers prepare to be covered in smoke scent

Driven by my wife's desire for Nachos and a word of mouth recommendation we selected the Greenpoint Cubana to test the goods.
As tee totalling Lacto Vegetarians, we were taken aback a bit by the focus on alcohol and meat, but that is entirely our own point of view and nothing wrong with a franchise theme reflecting certain values.
We also arrived a bit after lunch time on a Saturday so the place was fairly empty, but we were gracefully met and seated.
Reading the menu was a bit of a thing as initially we were guided to QR code on the table. Nobody could tell us how our phones would conjure up a menu. It dawned on us that an App was required, but no clear choice in Play store si we downloaded the menu from a website. Staff quickly told us that prices were not the same as the website and the phone version of the menu was tedious to read. Admittedly we are on the senior side but we are tech savvy and this system is not.
Unruffled we ordered the Nachos and as there was almost nothing else vegetarian in sight I opted for the Poppers Mushrooms and chips basket. Drinks were limited to sparkling water, and tonic with lime. The very popular Heineken 0.0 was not in stock although on the menu.
The Nachos was excellent although short on chilli slices according to my wife, and she is a expert, so we asked for more which was charged for.
My basket was normal deep fried fare, basic and generous.
Overall the service was good, like when you are in a foreign land and get what you want despite menu and communication issues. The windows and tables could have a good wipe and in the day the decor is a bit dark but overall, mission accomplished.
I have not been to Cuba, but 30 years younger we might find Cubana a great evening venue with a wide choices for meat eaters and more cocktail options than food.
We enjoyed our lunch and all Covid19 protocols were honoured.
there are randoms and thieves allowed in the establishment. i do not recommend this place for anyone. the management distances themselves from any incident. if you going to come here leave all your valuables in your car, or at home.
The service is BAD. You order a drink you'll get it 15 minutes later. I remember when we got there we ordered a bottle of Vodka and the waitress came with it after 10 minutes with no glasses, we had to remind her that we didn't get glasses, she came with them 10 minutes later.

Well-designed cafe though gets much too crowded. In these instances there is neither enough seating space nor a dance floor.
Although food and service is average. This place is totally homophobic. Security guards were very rude to friends of ours and told them that they would be kicked out even if they held hands.... will never support this place or go back there. Goes against our constitution and should be shut down!!!
Chilled and vibey before 10pm and dark and loud when the lights go out...
Standing isn't always fun. Always over crowded & very overrated. Still a good place though.
It's a good place but can do better if they can up their security. People lose their belongings every weekend
Nice place to chill. Drinks are very expensive. Make sure you have loads of cash for a good night. Bar staff not that friendly either

This cafe is cool for night life, their drinks are reasonably priced. I went with a couple of friends and the DJ noticed we were singing along to Nigerian music so he kept playing Nigerian music for us. I will go back here anytime I'm in South Africa.
The cocktails were unsatisfactory. Seating from outside gets outcasted as doors get shut, providing less experience than those seated from inside.
Had a great time there, just to unwind after a busy day. The waiter that served us were incredible. Delicious food and drinks.
Love the vibe and atmosphere. The decor is great. The baskets were on point and the nachos. Nice music as if you like hookah they have it here. Drinks vary and not bad at all.

Place to be on the weekends although it gets too packed at times. During the week you'll get to meet people from outside Cape Town mainly on business trips.
Very nice menu. Varied and tasty. Not too expensive either. Excellent decor. Good music, good food, comfortable chairs and exotic drinks..... what more can one ask for?

Lovely atmosphere..food was good.professional and respectful security receiving dining guests. The Covid registration process is in place, strictly adhered to and appreciated.
