CSU is a great school when it comes to some of the academics, however their financial aid office is useless. They do not help at all. Also, a lot of the degrees say "graduate in 4 years," but if you are going for a degree that you need to qualify for in some manner then I would expect longer that 4 years; more like 5-6 years. The campus is pretty, but most of the dorms are old and look run down. Fort Collins is a beautiful town though.

As a U.S. Marine I got to travel a lot and see numerous colleges and there ways of handling business. So far I have been completely unimpressed with CSU. There employees are normally very rude toward anyone who has any issue what so ever and at times I wonder if the professors would have even been able to teach at a high school level. The parking is always an issue especially for commuter students and the price of a parking permit to this school is one of the highest in the nation which makes very little sense to me considering there is barely ever any parking available. As far as classes go it really is hit or miss. You'll either have a professor who truly loves what there doing and has great passion in it or you'll find the complete opposite individual who you can tell is just there for a pay check. I'm currently speaking with the P.R. dept. in regards to there parking services which has some of the rudest individual's I've ever met.

I love this university because I sought training from Dr. W. James Warner and Dr. Timothy Gate and found love from them. They are always in my heart and memories. May God shower his blesses on them.

I love my vet at home, but this is the best experience I have ever had. Beautiful facility. Doctors are wonderful. The main thing is that the doctors here are also good with very complicated diagnoses. Lupus of skin and muscles, poly arthritis , auto immune disorders. They saved my shelties life because I was about to give up. Been to drs from NC to AK to Ca. No one helped like these. Highly recommend them

The campus was great, but the campus police were very rude. We saw them sneaking around writing tickets to students on bicycles. We also saw multiple areas where they were hiding trying to write speeding tickets.

Phenomenal school. The science programs in particular are top notch but combined with one of the best Recreation Centers in the States and high quality of student life (clubs, Mongolian bbq in the dorms, etc.) make this an outstanding institution.
While there are a couple deadbeat professors the vast majority are hardworking and brilliant.
You get out of education what you put into it, and CSU will give you the resolve and resources to put in a great deal.

Am currently a freshman, and I will sum up the issues that this school has.
Ridiculous tuition: I was one of the unfortunate few who thought this school was different. CSU is literally just a basic university with an inflated price. DO NOT fall for paying 50k a semester because I promise you that you can get the exact same education anywhere else.
The dorms suck. They require you to live on campus in year one to build character , but it s really just so that you have to pay even more money than you already do. The food in these dorms is awful (few options and durrell failed their health inspection), and the things they provide (electricity, water, cleaning supplies) are outdated and awful. Even the toilet paper sucks!! We ve had a stain on the floor all year that the dedicated cleaning team hasn t touched since September. But I m sure they ll charge us money for it after the year ends.
Parking is impossible to find (you have to pay for this too, adding up to hundreds of dollars per year). they refused to build a parking lot next to the stadium, as they are so afraid of something bad happening that they are habitually anti-fun, barely even allowing people to tailgate.
They claim to have unlimited resources for the students, saying that we have a brand new
Health center and physical + mental health services. But, you guessed it, you have to pay $150 + for each of these sessions, because apparently the millions they make off of us isn t enough.
The town itself is incredibly boring. If you aren t 21 and don t like to bar hop every single weekend, your options are to hike or sit in the dorm.
If you like to party, I would also say go somewhere else, as (we keep coming back to
Anti fun) partying or drinking on campus is strictly not allowed, and unless you are in a fraternity or on a sports team, there s no way you will get in to the Off campus parties. I m not sure how a school with over 30,000 kids is so incredibly boring, but they ve managed to do it.
They pour millions into the sports teams each year, and outside of the facilities and jerseys, they leave much to be desired. Nobody seems to care about the Basketball team as they finish well below .500 almost every year, and the football team disappoints as well.
Finally, if you are coming here because you like the outdoors, I would again say pick somewhere else as we are hours away from true Colorado.
Tuition also increases each year by the maximum amount, yet they never give the professors a raise (average salary hovers around 30-40k, while tony frank makes well
Over 7 figures each year).
Additionally, if you aren t a die hard liberal SJW get ready to be constantly alienated, as the kids on this campus get so offended over petty things, it makes expressing your opinion difficult at best.
Long story short: ever since tony frank took over, This school has contintued to put a priority on profit rather than their students. The only reason I m giving it two stars is because the stadium and facilities are nice. After that, literally every single aspect of this school leaves much to be desired. I beg you to go somewhere else, because this place sucks.

Great campuses, great Veterinary Hospital, and great place to plan your company's retreat or their children's education's.

Also, they have a fantastic Athletics Center. If you have swimmers in the family, a cyclist or two, or even, God forbid, LOL, a multi-sport endurance athlete... You may want to consider sending your kid to school here. Likewise, becoming a professor here. Or even better, a graduate student.

Ride safe!

Keep On Walking please...

Drive even more safely please.

I really enjoyed my time at Colorado State. The University has made significant investments in infrastructure and facility upgrades to make it one of the most beautiful and functional campuses in Colorado. The education I received at the CSU Business School left me very satisfied, and I was able to obtain a job one month before graduation, in part thanks to the strong CSU alumni network in Denver. The city of Fort Collins is very inviting, includes tons of recreational opportunities, and is a wonderful place to live.

CSU has a 29% acceptance rate in 2016 for Undeclared Mechanical Engineer Freshman...OVER a 70% chance of failure.

PLEASE do not only ask about the curriculum but the exact percentage of students admitted into the Mechanical Engineering Program.

I believe your money and your students self-esteem would be better invested elsewhere!

Great events, student services, and education! I love that the psych program is so research-oriented here. Unfortunately, it is pricey (as many universities are these days), however I would say that the experience of CSU has been worth it-- even as a self supporting student.

I just recently graduated from this institution in May. Overall, my experience at CSU was really positive. I am aware, however, of the concept of higher education being a scam nowadays. I feel the shift in financial burden onto the students primarily is a cruel way to enslave people with the shackles of debt. I don't think everyone needs to go to college to be successful, the University has its positive attributes as well as the darker elements.

Great campus. Beautiful scenery. Lots of activities around town. Almost went to this school myself. Would recommend, especially if looking at any type of agricultural careers. New stadium, however, is not in a great position geographically. Staff seemed nice

I'm glad I went to this university because it opened my eyes about university educational institutions. Overall, a good experience. Sometimes, however, the fact that I went to school and didn't pursue a professional career earlier on like I could have done catches up to me and makes employers shrug me off. I don't see a university education as all that necessary in our society anymore, as it is becoming way too expensive and less applicable to real-life situations. If you want an education that's going to benefit you, go to a technical college. CSU, like many other university institutions, is more concerned about your wallet than you.

This place really rules, can't recommend more highly. Great school spirit, alumni support and uniquely embraced in a great community with excellent recreation nearby. Great sunshiney weather, active people and an amazing, safe downtown and nightlife.

Professors care and are renowned in their fields. Good class size, classroom technology and an excellent student union round out a really beautiful campus. The business and vet schools are top rated; interesting natural resource degree offerings and a new computer science program magnify CO's largest university.

They force you to live in the crappy dorms first year so they can make money - in the dorm I was staying in, it was in a state of disrepair and nothing ever gets fixed - two of the three shared bathrooms on my floor were broken for half a semester and nobody cared. Tuition is ridiculous and increases every year. Tony Frank only cares about the football team, and sunk a bunch of money into a new oncampus stadium (even though Hughes is perfectly usable) that everyone else voted against and the football team sucks. There is nothing to do in Fort Collins except hike, be an alcoholic, or do drugs. Came here thinking people were nice and more laid back - they're not, Fort Collins is becoming Boulder. You're as employable coming out of CSU as you are any other college, except you're paying more for a mediocre education. Unfortunately, I cannot say I'm proud to be a CSU Ram because I'm not.

Do not go here for the art major, most of the staff is very rude at the art apartment and will gang up on you. They only like to show off their own art and not give a damn about students and is not good at helping. Me and my friends couldn't stand being an art major at CSU so we switched to what CSU is really good at, bio, chemical, etc. Go to Csu for those majors, not art. Other than that CSU is pretty cool.

Facilities are great, staff is super friendly, and I was happy to stay there. I do not recommend the dorms in any way, but am happy to wake up and go to sleep with virtually any food I want with amazing buffet options!

I had a pretty poor experience here. Not worth the costs. I went to UNC and CSU, in hindsight UNC has better systems in place to focus on success of the individual person. CSU seemed like a giant business with a revolving diploma door, as long as you can pay to pass through. While alumni to CSU I am, I unfortunately would reconsider going here if you re in any way a non-traditional student, transfer student, mature student, or financially tight. The new stadium is nice but when I went there it was high priority over classrooms falling apart, a sad fact of Tony s Business School.

CSU does not care at all about their students. Everyday is a struggle to find parking, and now they're building a stadium on campus (which essentially was unanimously voted against by both the students and the citizens of the city itself) that is taking up at least two parking lots. Some of the professors are pretty cool and the student body itself isn't bad... but the administration couldn't care less about their students. All they want is your money.

I do an online program at CSU because I'm a working adult. I would suggest the school implement a Sunday at midnight due date for all classes and assignments. With the teachers having random due dates, it doesn't allow time for a working adult to study and complete homework. This makes it very difficult and stressful when the only time you have are the weekends to do your school work but your homework was all due on the weekdays. It took 4 months just to get into the school. Classes cost $1,332. Very expensive!

This school is amazing, there are really no words for it. The campus is beautiful, the teacher engaging and knowledgeable, there are more resources for students than you will ever need, the advisors are awesome and get to know you on a personal level! the food in the dorms is top notch as well as the dorms themselves! CSU is a fantastic school! GO RAMS
