We had such a good time. Our tour guides were awesome and we had a great conversation with Darnell while sampling our cocktails. We would definitely visit again! This is the best Rum tour on the island.

Great tour guides and nice history lesson. Sadly most of Cruzan is now owned by Jim Beam and most processing now happens in Kentucky. But go here and support the locals and community. Well worth a pit stop.

This place was great! They weren t in production when we went, so we got $3 off our admission. That includes two cocktails and 4 samples. For $5!!!!! Including the tour! Our tour guide was the daughter of the president of the company, the ones who basically owned the place, so she knew her stuff. It was nice to see where the bourbon barrels go after they leave Jim Beam (the same company owns both). They were cleaning out the vats, so there wasn t the most pleasant of smells, but that happens... We wound up buying a six pack to take home with us (you can check it as a bag for free back to mainland US). They have some good deals on certain packages but we wanted our own. You need to buy six because if you don t, it might break on the plane. We paid extra $3 to have them bubble wrapped, but the guy threw in two little bottles so it equaled out anyway. Even without it being in production, we were all so glad we went.

Our second visit in two years to the Cruzan Rum distillery was as awesome as the first, with many of the same friendly guides (Zena!) and a couple of new ones (Shelly, Darnell). If you're in St. Croix, put this on your list of things to do. Fun, interesting, and you can never have too much Cruzan rum!

Darnell gave a wonderful tour! He showed us the seed tanks filled with spicy molasses, water, and yeast... smelled so good! Then on to the distilling tanks, barrels, and oak chips. There was even a tanker truck unloading molasses so we all got to taste how sweet and spicy it was right from South America! Last of all, we graduated from rum school after answering Darnell s pop quiz, and went to the rum tasting area...We all tasted the expensive stuff to the Cruzan flavored rums, and then Darnell mixed us full drinks of his own recipes... yum yum! Great part is you can buy a case of 6 bottles in a case per person and American Airlines adds it to your checked baggage for free!

My wife and I loved the tour, Darnell was our guide and it was only the 2 of us with him. His knowledge of the history and distilling process was spectacular, drinks and samples after the tour were very good. Again I thank you Darnell for your hospitality.

Rashita was wonderful, she answered all of our questions. She had a great attitude and one excellent rumoligist . Sad the Cruzan rum brand is now half owed by Jim Beam and all product is shipped to Tennessee for bottling and a small portion is shipped back to the island at a high price to locals. (Did our own research).

We took a tour of the distillery one afternoon in late March. Unfortunately for us, rum was not being produced because the quota for the first quarter had been met, so we were not able to see the actual production. If you want to see rum being produced, visit early in the quarter since they begin production the first of each quarter and continue until the quota is met. A guide walked us around a bit, pointing out different buildings and describing light to dark rums and how they re made. She seemed very knowledgeable but talked so fast that it was difficult to take in all that she was saying. The most interesting thing we saw was the warehouse where thousands of barrels of rum were being aged.

The $5 fee included drinks at the hospitality pavilion. A rum punch was given to everyone, then you could choose from a menu of mixed concoctions. Rum shots were also available. The drinkers in our group enjoyed the alcoholic offerings while the non-drinkers sipped on virgin pina coladas.

There is a gift shop with shot glasses, visors, and other souvenirs. It is also possible to purchase bottles of rum to take home with you. The bottles are wrapped and packaged and checked in with your airline as luggage; there is no extra fee for this for most airlines (Spirit is the exception).

We enjoyed the few hours spent at the distillery but wish we could have seen the rum being produced.

If you are visiting St. Croix then you DEFINITELY should come here for a tour and some rum sampling! The tour is pretty short, but that is not by design. The length of the tour will vary based on the number of people and how many questions are asked. The tour walks you through all of the various facilities, staging areas, and machinery involved in the distilling process. At the time I did the tour there were no photography restrictions.

In my opinion, the best part of the tour was the end when you get to sample the various rum blends (must be 18 or over). You receive a set amount of samples with your tour package, but you can purchase additional samples (or schmooze with the bartender/tour guide to receive additional free samples). You also have the option to purchase full bottles of rum either individually or in packaged combinations. The prices for bottles here are ridiculously cheap so I highly recommend you take advantage of this. Also, Cruzan Rum has an arrangement with the Import/Export officials to ensure that you have no issues taking the bottles of the island. They conveniently package your bottles in a travel safe container, which I thought was pretty awesome.

Overall this place was a ton of fun! The staff are some of the most genuine and pleasant people I have ever met. Doesn't hurt that the rum is fantastic as well, and I don't even like rum. I highly recommend visiting here if you're on St. Croix.

Best bar and best distillary in the island. Don't go to captain Morgan's. Cruzan is better priced with a much better tour and great tour guides. It's the original plantation and offers so much history. Lived it so much we went twice in one trip. After your tour you enjoy four shots and two cocktails which are awesome. This is the best bar on the island sitting outside and enjoying the breeze..... That is if you are like us.... Laid back and like to be with each other without the noise and hustle and bustle.

This was one of the best tours I have taken! Jill, our guide, was very nice and attentive. She took us through the entire run making process and answered any questions. We got to see all the places the rum was made and even got to taste molasses out of the truck. When we all got back from the tour we got two cocktails (one of which they make right in front of you) and four shots. This tour was well worth the price and I would highly recommend it!

This tour is a lot of fun! You will laugh a lot and learn a lot, while peering into vats of bubbly yeast! After the tour, sample some great drinks made by your guide. It should be on your " West End Tour" itinerary.

From a non-local:. Be sure to take your wristband and nametag off from the Captain Morgan tour first. If you leave them on, the staff will treat you rudely. I suppose they are in competition, but we are here to see everything as a tourist.

The tour is fairly quick. Be prepared to climb some stairs and walk along some elevated walk-ways.

The best part of the tour: the rum drinks at the conclusion. You get 2 full size drinks and sample 4 different rums of your choice!

This is a must for out of town visitors.

A genuine small operation feel that shows the care for the product and the true embodiment of the "don't hurry rum." Most guides are awesome and every bartender at the post tour sample bar is great. We've done the tour several times and always learn something new.

A fun, informative tour of the rum production process. The guide was genial and humorous, and the samples at the end were quite generous. Considering the low price, this is more than worth fitting into a trip here.

Darnelle gave our family a great tour through the history of Cruzan rum and answered all our questions. Later he bartended our tour group and had some special drinks to have us try. For $8, the 4 samples and 2 mix drinks that come with the tour make it well worth the trip for the whole family.

We had a great time learning all about how the Rum Factory works. I guide Andre was very friendly and fun. This was our first time to the rum factory to tour after coming for years to St Croix. I would said it is a must do on your list. They make great drinks for you after the tour.

They are closed to the public! I'm not against the closure due to COVID-19 but at least advertise the closure on the website so tourist do not plan and drive 25 min to get there, only to be turned away!

It was a great tour made into a spectacular tour by our guide Chelly. She was informative and informed. Delightful and funny. Being from Kentucky and being a bourbon drinker, I was so happy to find your 12 year blend was so smooth and tasty.

This was honestly one of the best winery/brewery/distillery tours I've ever been on. Our guide, Darnell, was AMAZING to say the least. Super patient with the kids in our group, and so fun and engaging. They go over every element of the rum making process, and at the end we get five samples and two cocktails. I can't stress enough how much fun we had. A complete do not miss. Take my advice and go next time you're in St. Croix! Cheers!

A good chance to see how the best rum in the world is created. Tours led by knowledgeable staff on the half-hour followed by generous sampling of the various rums in their tasting room. A great educational afternoon and a lot of fun!

I enjoyed the brief tour of how rum is made. Cash was not accepted and there is climbing up stairs and walking. Visitors can relax under a huge tree or in a covered outdoor patio-like setting. At the end of the tour, the guide serves as a bartender and will prepare something using the rum. Underage visitors receive a non-alcoholic beverage. You can purchase Cruzan Rum and other small gift items using a credit card. The clerk will box your purchase. I ended up packing the bottles in my suitcase to transport home.

I'm sure it would have been great, if they were open, but COVID has changed that. I was really looking forward to this tour, since we've been drinking Cruzan Rum for years. There was no mention of the factory being closed on any web site or anywhere on St. Croix. Rude lady at the gate just told us " we haven't been open for months and we don't know when we'll open again. You can turn around here."

My wife and I loved this distillery tour! Just of 2 of us were guided by the friendliest lady. So much history at this distillery as it was hundreds of years old.

At the end you get taste tests and also options to buy the some Rum. I have never seen so much varieties of Rum in my life.

We went down to St. Croix and have a good time even though we were working. Nice tour at the Cruzan Rum Factory. Very nice distillery and warehouse. For anyone going down there to St. Croix I recommend the tour.

We had such a great time here at the distillery. You could really tell that they took great pride in their work. They had a great staff and the tour was informative. For some reason I just wished that it was a little longer. It felt a bit rushed. However, the guid was friendly and I enjoyed getting to taste and talk about the different rums at the end. The prices on the rum were really great. You could even take some back to the states with you.

Unfortunately the guide had a piercing that made it impossible to hear her. When we got to the tasting I tasted two and got told that I only could try one more. Too bad because I wanted to try the single barrel. Luckily for me since it was way overpriced. From the price tag it was $119 and we can buy it in Cristianstad for $29.

Fun!

Really fun tour, goes pretty quick. The end of the tour, however, is where the party is. I may or may not be drunk currently. They make some damn good drinks! ( Fun fact, Cruzan rum does not cause hangovers)

The tour was $8 and wasn't worth the time, maybe it would be if we would have had a different tour guide??? She knew very little about what was going on and couldn't answer most questions. We were also not allowed to see the distillation tower. The $8 did pay for the cocktails and samples we got to try, which were all good, so if the drinks at the end of the tour are all you're going for its worth it... It was nice that they bubble wrap and box our purchases for travel. Ours made it from St. Croix to Dallas via Miami with no trouble.
