The entire staff here is excellent! They got me in and out with no appointment really quickly. The staff checked on me multiple times while I waited for various specialists and equipment to become available.

I always receive excellent, quality medical care at Crucial Care. The staff is caring and compassionate about whatever ailment is brought to them. I love their ability to treat a variety of situations all at one location. I highly recommend Crucial Care!

Very well organized & excellent quality of care. They are able to do very much what an ER could. They followed up with me & based on lab results altered medication & then followed up with me again. Way above anything my GP ever did!

Crucial Care on Baymeadows took great care of me when my Dr. was unavailable. I have severe white coat syndrome but I was having lightheadedness and knew I needed to see someone to make sure it wasn't serious. They kept me calm and assured me they would get to the bottom of it... and they did. I highly recommend the entire staff... they were wonderful.

I drove to Crucial Care from Fleming Island. I had the best experience I have ever had at any medical office. Everyone was extremely friendly and made you feel welcome. Each person had a smile and made me grateful I chose to come there. From the check-in process to x-ray and check-out, everything was smooth and could not have been any better. I would definitely recommend them!

Walk-in visit was fast and easy. They took all the precautions to keep patients separate without making it feel awkward. Staff was efficient and caring. Thank you for making it easy for my daughter and myself and putting our minds at ease.

I highly recommend this place! I needed to get tested for COVID and when I called the girl on the phone was SO nice and they saw me a lot quicker than I expected as a walk in. I only waited an hour. Everyone I spoke to was so nice and efficient. Definitely appreciated during this stressful time!

The Staff at Crucial Care are so nice, personable, professional & easy to talk to. They really do care about what's going on with you. Dr. Long is awesome. Took his time, asked me what I had tried for my sinuses & talked about what options I had. I've never met a doctor who was just another person & I see a lot of dr.s. He was also easy to talk to. Most dr.s seem untouchable, hard to talk to because of their pride. They don't listen & treat you like there's no way you could possibly know anything about your own body. There's another Dr. that is there that is great too. Unfortunately I forgot her name. I have gone there three or four times in the last couple of years. Service is consistent & everything is nice & clean. I definitely recommend them! I use them as my PA now. I've never given a doctor 5 stars before. Lol

Everyone is very friendly and my care was quick. I actually got there a little earlier than my appointment and was out in about an hour. It s a little expensive for a clinic but I suppose it s because it s technically like an ER.

Always a positive experience! Recently took my 90yr old dad in with a painful backache. The female doctor ran extensive tests on my dad and by the time we left, my dad was feeling so much better before walking out the door!
I can t recall the female doctor s name - she was AWESOME! Thanks for taking care of my dad and family on prior visits!

The staff here is welcoming, friendly, and courteous. I ve been here twice this year for a broken hand and shingles. I ve never had to wait for more than ten minutes to see a Dr or Nurse Practitioner. They can provide all the services an Emergency Room can at a fraction of the price in a quiet and clean environment.

I was referred to Crucial Care by another facility because they could not treat me. The staff was pleasant, knowledgeable, forward, and provided excellent care. Thank you Crucial Care!

Went in today after being referred by my family physician for a head wound. I was able to get in with a few questions, and was treated very professionally. Everyone was very friendly and confident in there treatment. I would highly recommend them....very reasonable in their pricing.

I have tried many urgent care style doctors in my time in Jax, but Crucial Care is the only one I'll ever go to now. They have the facilities to do CAT scans and X-rays in their office wich is so convenient. I've been here twice now and I've left feeling better and happy about their excellent customer service. Their hours work well too as not many places I've found stay open past 5. I appreciate everyone who works here so much. They always make an effort to make sure you're comfortable and they're always striving to keep things moving so you never wait too long.

I went in for a COVID test. I have a history of bronchitis and pneumonia. They were very thorough.
They also tested for Strep and any Viral infection. They took a chest X-ray to rule out pneumonia. I left feeling that all bases were covered.

I have used this facility in the past and have always been satisfied.

Needed to be seen immediately, I had called every care spot and quick clinic around, every one was completely booked and the wait for walk ins was 2 hours. I found crucial care, called, came in, and was seen right away. Everyone was insanely nice, doctor was helpful and explained everything, got my scripts and went across the street to publix and picked them up. It was a great experience, given the circumstance!

I've been to this place 4, maybe 5 times for ear infections in the last 6 months (yes I should probably go to an ENT now...) and the doctors and nurses have been so kind and patient with me and taken care of my ears right away. If you show up a few minutes before they open, you wont have much of a wait!!

I personally witnessed first class treatment in January after having complications from colon surgery and was so impressed by the professionalism by all of the staff, the prompt admission and treatment throughout my stay, I recommended them to everyone. As working in the healthcare field for many years, you do not often find an entire staff go out of their way to make you comfortable and meet your needs. Last week my husband and I were in NC as a family member had passed away. My husband had experienced chest pain and shortness of breath for several months on exertion and none of his doctors were concerned enough to pursue. His symptoms worsened so we packed up and headed to Jacksonville as fast as I could drive..I was headed straight to Crucial Care. We made it 7 minutes before they were closing.
They saved my husband's life. The ARNP, Angela was on call and had superior cardiac training and within 45 minutes of arrival, she had arranged direct admit to Mayo cardiac unit. Upon arrival they immediately did ECG, got his last one from Mayo, started IV, called ambulance, she had spoken directly to cardiologist.... he was having heart attack and had a 99% blockage in his main coronary artery. By the Grace of God and the quick response and knowledge of Angela at Crucial Care, my loving husband of 27 years is sitting here beside me tonight. I am not an ER person and would probably die before going to one so wish Crucial care were open 24/7 and had more locations.

Got right in. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Doctor, nurses, PAs and techs were all knowledgeable and professional. I was given a thorough workup, received Rxs for condition, as well as recommendations regarding possible referrals to a specialist. Equipped like an emergency room, the facility is prepared with CT scan, EKG on site. Unlike an ER, the facility has small, quiet, private examination rooms. I was also impressed that I left with a complete, printed report of my exam and results. I've been treated here several times for various situations and have always been very satisfied. I definitely recommend this facility.

Attention Jacksonville, FL residents: Do not go to Crucial Care located at Baymeadows Rd. Do not see Dr. Jerry W. Mullis. He is very, very rude and unprofessional. My wife went to the facility to get a prescription refilled for a tension headache and after about 45 minutes of waiting Jerry finally came into the room looked at her eyes and ears and said he would not give her a prescription. I am not sure what the purpose was for looking at her ears. I was on the phone with my wife when he was in the room and he refused to talk to me after I questioned why he would not write her a prescription. It seems there is a pattern of rudeness with Jerry after reading other reviews.

Every single person was awesome. In and out in about 30 minutes.

Made an appointment online and when I showed up they were ready for me. The entire place was sparkling clean and the nurses are doctors were caring and compassionate. Overall a very pleasant experience that I would recommend to everyone.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon and waited over an hour to be seen while the nurses and doctors were chit chatting right outside my waiting room for over half an hour.

Doctor came in and asked few questions. I don't think she listened to me carefully. I said I have mucus in my throat but no problem with my nose. She prescribed me nasal spray but not mucus relief. She left in 4 minutes.

Thought I would be visited by the nurse for prescription instructions. Nope. Cashier came in to ask me to pay.

Finally nurse came. Gave me a list of prescriptions. Discharged me and I got out after 1.5 hours visit.

Overall it is a convenience to have this place in town, but for me the doctor does not care much. Will not come back.

I've been to this place many times when I can't get into my family physician for various reasons. Great helpful and kind staff. Never a major wait. I'm typically in and out within an hour. Easy access location on Baymeadows Road next to 9A. Love this place!

RN Todd was an extremely rude and unprofessional individual. He thinks it's ok to loudly mock and make fun of patients when he leaves the room as if no one can hear him. Would not recommend.

I need to write to say what an amazing job Dr. Long and the staff did with my son. Dr. Long was accurate, caring and got to the bottom of my son s pain. Thank goodness because he was having appendicitis. Since it was handled so well, my son had his surgery and is on the way to feeling better!

Staff was very professional! They checked me in very quickly and took me back . Nurses and techs very friendly explained everything they were going to and test they were going to run . Did not have to wait . Doctor was extremely nice ! They took great care of me ! Extremely impressed, Very Efficient Process with all the key players working together like a well oiled machine -- Have a foreign Body ....BB.... in hand from Co2 BB Gun , x-rays,consultation and referral to specialist --- all medical analysis and reasoning well explained and questions answered DR . Recused himself from doing surgery as he felt he was not qualified for specialized surgery ...Highly recommended - Very Professional -will use gain should the need arise-Cash Client expense at least 75% less than ER , however in my opinion my incident did not qualify as a life threatening emergency /trauma wherein an ER visit could be justified

We have loved crucial care since they opened years ago. We have been there for broken bones, sprains, dehydration, heart issues, urinary issues, stitches, ear infections. They are thorough and therefore you are there just a little bit but they do have a tv in every room and offer you a beverage and a blanket and do check on you often:)

Just moved to Jax and got a bout of bursitis. So new I don't even have a doc yet, so picked Crucial Care due to location and WOW!!! Great service, from the entrance at the front door to my exit at the end. All of the staff (Doc, nurses, and front staff) were positive, upbeat, smiling, and ready to take care of my issue. Even Joey in billing was an absolute pleasure to deal with (not an easy job collecting payment in full) , and my small co-payment was a welcome surprise. I cannot brag on this group of folks enough, and I have already sent two co-workers there for quick medical assistance. You are ALL the BEST!

I needed a Dr to look at my Mom who was visiting out of town. This place was recommended by my internist s office.
It is fantastic!
From start to finish, it was a lovely experience.
From what I learned, everyone has been ER trained, and you can tell.
From the front desk staff, to the paramedics, nurses and Doctors.
The best compliment I can give is that they take the time to listen... which is rare these days.
They are able to do many tests right there in their office.
We had to wait a bit for my Moms blood work to come back, so we were offered heated blankets as the rooms were a bit cold.

I went here at the Bay meadows location in Jacksonville Florida Ennead of x-rays which my doctor could not perform in this is where he recommended me to go. He was a 100% right it was the best experience of ever had I got in right away got my paperwork done right away got put right into a Room I would have everything done I didn't feel like I was being left or any time was wasted I had my x-rays my prescription and everything done and I was in-and-out of the door and less than 45 minutes with everything done and everything I needed and sent home and all of this during this coven 19 pandemic I would highly recommend this place and I will definitely be going back for any other needs that I have.. I was very impressed with staff and efficiency.

The first experience was great the doctor and everyone listened to my husband. However the second visit he saw a different doctor just yesterday in fact. A woman. She not once looked in his chart to see what he was allergic to. He came in for a workers comp injury. She basically treated him like a drug seeker when he had never been on anything till now.. I'm highly upset with her willing to dismiss real patients and now I have to go back today to get the right medicine and hopefully his first doctor is there. Because not only did she mess up on the medicine she put even more restrictions on him and he now can't even barely do anything at work because of all the restrictions she put on him.. What a nightmare! I really pray his first doctor will be there to straighten out her mess!!!!

This place and its entire staff are run by the nicest and most caring people. It s my first choice for any medical treatment. Very affordable they have cost effective medical plans available with monthly membership benefits. Highly recommend! It s more than an office, they can get things done onsite.

Don't get carried away by reviews, they just rob you first with a copay and you get a nurse practitioner for checking on you, not even a primary physician. It took over 20 min long to write a couple of antibiotics. Not suggested. And they hit me with Motrin and Tylenol finally.

Bad news - I had chest pain last week that I suspected may be a serious heart problem. Good News - I Iive right next door to Solantic Health Clinic (Baptist Hospital) in Atlantic Beach. Bad News I called my wife and told her what was happening and that I was going to Solantic. She freaked and urged me not to go there she heard bad things. Good News I wasn t really concerned with customer service. I just wanted to make sure I wasn t dyeing of a heart attack so I disregarded the advice and went in anyway. Bad News - Went into Solantic Urgent Care and told them I was having chest pains and they looked at the clock on the wall and said they were backed up and I that I was going to have to have a seat and wait a while (there were only two other people in the waiting room). Naturally I was quite surprised to hear them tell a possible heart attack victim to have a seat and wait awhile. I expressed my concern for their nonchalant attitude and they proceeded to tell me that they can give me a test but they are really not equipped for such situations and that i would really be best to go to their emergency room at Baptist Hospital. Realizing that my wife was right I took her advice and went to Urgent Care off 9A and WOW was I impressed. They were super-fast, i was hooked up to EKG in less than 3 minutes and really just the nicest and happiest people in the world. They told me exactly how much everything would cost before they did anything and the cost was much lower than I expected. (ALOT lower than an ER!!!). I spent hours being monitored by Drs and they were thoughtful enough to put a tv in all the exam room so I got to watch tv the whole time instead of just sitting there for hours reading outdated women s magazines. We later had to do some other tests and they told me the cost first and got approval before we did anything. after i went home i looked to see if i could buy stock in the company but unfortunately they are prviately held. I don t usually write glowing reviews but I really was just so impressed with this place I had to say something. 5 stars well done!

I saw the so called "doctor " Jerry Mullis. This guy is extremely unfriendly. I have never had to deal with anyone this rude in a medical environment environment before today. It's a shame that this guy is being employed by what is normally a very friendly convenient care. the last doctor that I saw there coudn't have been nicer. Dr. Jerry Mullis was so very rude and and refused to take images of an obviously broken bone. His appearance and manner was so unprofessional that all I could think was that If I treated patients where I work , this way, that I would be fired. He came through the exam room door with an icy attitude and it it didn't get better. He seemed to be having an issue understanding what I was trying to explain to him. Maybe I disturbed his nap ? He was unkempt and unfriendly and didn't care about helping me . If you have to go to this crucial care ...make sure this guy isn't working there that day !

My review is really a two part review.

First, I give this place 4 stars because it was a really good place to get treated when I was not feeling well. Staff was friendly, I was seen promptly, and diagnosed by the nurse practitioner in just a few minutes.

Here is my issue, my insurance was billed over $500 for this very brief visit... I had my pulse checked, temp checked, and ears checked, that seems like a pretty excessive bill for what I was in there for... which is why insurance costs are so unbelievably high. That part needs to be addressed by someone... as long as facilities get away with it they will keep doing it.

I'll still go back if I need to, but I will scratch my head the entire time wondering why my bill was so high.

went in to get covid testing. we walked up, gave our information, and were told to track our names on the waitlist via their app. We came back two hours later when our names were near the top of the list, and were brought into a room to do paperwork, get the test done, and talk to the NP. We had to wait around an hour in the room for the whole process but overall it was very smooth and everyone was very kind.

I don't recommend this place whatsoever. If you're at all conscience about your health don't go here. I went in for chest pains and they treated me as if I was some hypochondriac. I am currently in nursing school and constantly hear my professors talk about how bad of an attitude nurses can have and sure enough I experienced this. I heard them talking about me in the hallway which you are not supposed to do. To top it off, this was the place I went when I thought I was diabetic and they treated me the same. Come to find out, awhile later, I am in fact a type 1 diabetic. Don't go here if you want to be treated with the understanding and care you deserve. As a future nurse, I will make sure not to act that way.

Outstanding performance care. The staff is very personal and professional. I call it my little hospital. The Doctors are very concerned about about you. When you arrive. No long waiting. I would never have hesitation to going to them for treatment.

The front desk was a little rude upon entry but everyone else was amazing. The wait was 1 hr and about 40 min but I was a walk in and it was completely understandable. Once you were in it was quick, professional, clean and everyone was so nice. I was nervous about my testing and the nurse was so sweet and made sure I was comfortable. They answered all my question thoroughly.

Stay away from these "snake oil" salesmen. I went in there to have my leg looked at because of a deep bruise. They told me that it would be $1,100.00 if they put it through my insurance BUT if I wanted to pay cash then it would only be $160.00, but they needed that today. I am in the medical field and asked them what CPT codes they were trying to bill. No one could answer. They became very nervous and disrespectful. I walked-out only to be chased by one of their employees saying that this is "how things work" in urgent care. I went to Avecina urgent care in Julington Creek. Was in and out in 40mins for $118.00. Going to right place makes all of the difference.

I had by far the best health care experience I have ever had at crucial care. The staff was amazing and made sure I was comfortable. The care was superb and the facility allows them to run as an ER but without the crazy cost. Would highly recommend.
