Crowne Plaza Resort & Golf Club Lake Placid Review

Great hotel! Rooms were great and staff were helpful. The views and location are simply stunning though.

Never stay here! I woke up the first morning with bites all over my feet! Not sure if they were fleas or bed bugs, but definitely some sort of bug!! The hotel is pet friendly and there were many dogs there. The next morning I woke up with a bite on my face and hands, third morning 2 bites on my neck.
Hotel management did nothing for my $979 bill. Neither did their corporate customer service.
They have a bug problem here!

Careful with the balcony rooms with Mountain Views. My room was overlooking the parking lot but that isn t the hotel s fault as I booked my stay at the last minute. The property was clean and everyone was respectful of the Covid protocols. The location is awesome. I was worried about the hill that people kept referring to when returning to the hotel from Main St. on foot but it wasn t that bad. Bethanny was really helpful in allowing us to check in early. If it had not been possible, she was still very nice and professional. She s the reason I m giving this hotel 5 stars vs 4 because after a long drive we were so happy to check in by 2pm.

VERY MISLEADING ABOUT DOG FRIENDLY. Can t take the dogs anywhere in the hotel nor can you leave them by themselves in the room. Basically have to stay in your room the whole stay. We tried to go to the hot tub, got a call and came back to the room to find the pups sleeping. VERYY VERYT MISLEADING! Not dog friendly by any means!

Friendly staff, clean rooms and beautiful facilities (breakfast, bar, swimming , gym ) and WHAT A VIEW!!!

We walked in late one evening in November to inquire about a room. All they had left was a suite. We took it because they said our jack russell was welcome and made it incredibly easy to say yes. The place is beautiful, we had a great view of the mountains and a great night checking out the venue for the 1/2 Ironman we are going to next September. I have been to Lake placid several other times for Figure skating events and was so pleasantly surprised. We walked down to the Cottage for our Anniversary dinner, Then enjoyed walking Main Street while our elderly dog was warm and cozy in our suite nestled in her crate. THANK YOU! Recently acquired by the Kimpton Chain this Hotel has upped it's game. We reserved the suite for the time we will be there in September as we have friends and family coming from Ontario and the States too.

Beautiful location. Everything was perfect minus the children running and yelling.

The view is ridiculous from the Great Room. My charcuterie and chees platter was excellent. As was the service from Hanna. Thanks for your hospitality guys. See you soon

My friend and I did a spontaneous road trip over the weekend to Finger Lakes and then to Lake Placid. She s been trying to book a room at Crowne Plaza to no avail until the night before, a room was freed up! If that s not luck then I don t know what it was. It s extremely difficult to book a room in Lake Placid and I now know why. What a beautiful place to see the foliage. The view from Crowne Plaza looking down Mirror lake with beautiful foliage of the mountains is just breathtaking. See for yourself the photos.

Clean, beautiful views, dinner waitress was a doll... breakfast waitress.. not so much. Limited menu secondary to COVID, great location close to town, dogs allowed which can be good for some and bad for others.

The old Holiday Inn. This is my go-to on my return trips to LP. Everything about this place is comfortable. Even the prices.

Clean, comfortable, quiet rooms. A Little overpriced, but everything in Lake Placid is overpriced. Centered in town .

The accommodations are sufficient but too many items are out of order or unavailable. The breakfast buffet is disappointing for the price charged. In all I find the property to be less than expected for a Crowne Plaza property.

Great stay; lots of places to hang out to sit and visit; kayaks and paddle boat available to guests free of charge!

Excellent location. Easy access to Whiteface by car or shuttle. Free parking. Great breakfast. Nice pool area with jacuzzi. Rooms are very comfortable.

Beautiful lake views, comfortable rooms, both A/C and fridge worked great, nice Great Room in the Adirondack style, altogether a restful way to enjoy a few vacation days. Highly recommend!

Room was cozy water pressure was good and the shampoo smelled really good. Staff was nice and coffee was free what else do you want
