My friend and I did a spontaneous road trip over the weekend to Finger Lakes and then to Lake Placid. She s been trying to book a room at Crowne Plaza to no avail until the night before, a room was freed up! If that s not luck then I don t know what it was. It s extremely difficult to book a room in Lake Placid and I now know why. What a beautiful place to see the foliage.
