Eating here really did shift my perspective about vegan food. It was a unique experience and there was the most wonderful atmosphere. Our waitress was so personable and passionate about the food, I loved that she could explain the dishes in detail and help us walk through our first ever vegan experience.

Let me first say that we are not Vegan. My daughter wanted to celebrate her birthday at a Vegan Restaurant. She picked Crossroad Kitchen. It was a pleasant experience. The staff was attentive, friendly and informative. The food surpassed our expectations, especially for vegan food. The owner and manager were on site so we were able to have delightful conversation with them. They made a great Birthday celebration for my daughter. We love it and will come back soon. The cocktail drinks were fabulous.

I've been here for dinner and brunch, and I love this place! it is creative, delicious and fun food! (Yes vegans can be fun!)
Everything I've had here has been great. One stand out is artichoke oysters.
Just went to brunch and the chicken and waffles were excellent. The flavor and texture of the "chicken" were spot on. We also had the breakfast sandwich, which calls to mind a far tastier breakfast Mcmuffin. Which was a plus for my vegan friend that fondly remembers those.
Service is excellent, friendly and knowledgeable.
Valet is $8

Most vegans eat at home because plant based food is personal to both texture and seasoning however Travis Barker's Crossroad Kitchen is an exception. The food selections are quite tasty and served tapas style for all in your party to enjoy together. However, the lighting is extremely dim lending more to a "date night" establishment thus not family friendly and makes it extremely difficult to read the menu. One has to lug out the flashlight on the phone to read excellent cuisine choices. The tagliatelle pasta with black truffle oil is the best in the world albeit $45 is way over priced and especially in a dimly lit restaurant where there was no price but a tiny "mp". There are many traditional "meat" based dishes served with creative plant based substitutions. We were celebrating my daughter's one year anniversary being a vegan...the small plated cuisine is very tasty but the sticker shock left a bad taste in our mouths. (Black truffle oil is $5 for 8oz and only 2oz used in dish of $3 worth of pasta...overhead costs included this dish should be @ $15 not $45) Hostess and waiter were delightful but they too squinted in the darkness.

Meh, felt a bit overhyped. The food and flavors were great, but the portion sizes were teeny. And, I know, the goal is to order a bunch and share/try a bunch of dishes, but for the prices it doesn't seem feasible. Dessert was also definitely skip-able.

Im not a Vegan. But the person I took on a date there is a Vegan. The ambiance there is great. The food was incredible. I had Calamari and pasta. One of the best dinners I have had in a good while. The food was outstanding and the service was professional and efficient. Highly recommend this place

Excellent service paired with delicious plant-based foods will leave you wanting to come back! An elegantly designed interior with comfortable seating places you right in the pinnacle of fine dining. The food tastes fresh and represents a higher caliber of attention to detail in each dish when compared to traditional vegan restaurants. All this comes at the caveat of higher prices - a cost well worth its value. Portions vary in size but are generally small as to not overwhelm the appetite with a single dish.

If I could rate this establishment negative stars,...

If I could rate this establishment negative stars, I would: The service was horrendous from the moment my party and I entered the doors on 1 June 2017 around 21:00. It began with the extremely inappropriate behaviour of the host and hostess. We had just came down from a hike in the Hills and I apologized for our rather laid back attire. After asking the host if we should run home and change he literally responded, "Uh, well, this is a fine dining restaurant but we'll seat you," in the rudest possible tone. The hostess that escorted us to our table was unpleasant and gave us the most demeaning looks that I have ever encountered. Our server, Grant, was polite at first but developped an unfathomable attitude when we expressed that we weren't that hungry and didn't order three dishes each. He lacked eye contact, whipped our napkins around in anger, and was slinging our dishes around while collecting our empty plates. We were absolutely willing to stick around and make more cocktail purchases but we weren't even asked for a second round... I was thrilled to experience this place as a few friends told me how wonderful it would be. Unfortunately, we traveled almost 200 miles from our apartment in downtown San Diego to be treated like peasants. On a positive note, the valet attendant was incredible...so this one star belongs to him.

Non-vegans should totally try their Impossible Burger - tastes just like beef.
I really liked the atmosphere: it's very stylish and classy but at the same time relaxing and unimposing. The prices are not that high given the quality of the food and the ambiance.

This place is great if you want to take someone on a fancy date or to try at least once. My husband and i ordered the chicken and waffles, crossroads Benedict and truffle fries. Everything tasted great. The hollandaise sauce was amazing, and the shiitake mushrooms were crispy and delicious. Service was on point. Nice environment, and elegant. The only thing was that i didn't read the reviews about the serving sizes, a bit small for our liking. But all in all delicious full of flavor. Prices are a bit up there too for the amount of food, but like i said worth it at least once or for a special day.

I really wanted to love this place. Despite being an avid omnivore, I have really been enjoying a lot of the new vegan and vegetarian restaurants popping up around LA. And the space is stunning!

Unfortunately, the food was far from stunning, though there were a few amazing dishes that I'll highlight first:

ARTICHOKE OYSTERS: This was the first thing to hit the table and got us insanely excited for what was to come...unfortunately the restaurant shot its wad out of the gate...oops! Seriously though, this was a special dish was an amazing array and balance of flavors. I wanted more of them!

PUMPKIN TIRAMISU : Wonderfully moist and flavorful pumpkin spice cake topped with a tasty pumpkin cream.

CREPE TORTE : Peanut butter cream, banana and dark chocolate heaven!

Unfortunately, the list of misses is much longer:

"CRAB CAKES": tasted like fried apples and they seemed to go heavy on the fried part to mask the rest. Why try to re-create a forbidden dish instead of just doing something original???

SPICY MOROCCAN HEIRLOOM CARROTS: Loved the flavor, but I felt pick pocketed having to pay $11 for 6-7 3 inch carrots.

TRUFFLE LEEK FLATBREAD: Rather plain tasting and suffering from a severe misbalance of too many mushrooms drowning out the truffles.

OVEN ROASTED BRUSSELS SPROUTS: Tasted more boiled than roasted. Reminded me too much of how bad brussels tasted as a kid when mom tossed them in a pot to boil until they were mushy and nasty.

WOOD-FIRED MEATY LASAGNA: Speaking of mediocre childhood food, we all agreed that while this tasted surprisingly cheesy, it reminded us all of those frozen Stauffers lasagna's we had as kids. Not the comparison the chef probably wanted.

CHOCOLATE INDULGENCE: So dry and flavorless that we sent it back even when the server said we could keep it for free.

Speaking of our server, we had an ALL TIME FAVORITE talk with our her about her diet!! It started when we asked her if she was vegan and she replied that she was a "vegan sympathizer." WTF is that?!? We asked her what she meant and the highlight from her mostly incoherent response was she is a "strict vegetarian" who doesn't eat any cheese or other milk product. Had that been the end of her response, I wouldn't be ranting about what she said, but it got incredible when she added "except that I do eat fish sometimes...but absolutely no shell fish." SERIOUSLY? I don't even know where to begin tearing into that response. My wife said she literally had to bite her tongue to avoid laughing out loud at her. I felt like I was Steve Martin in LA Story...truly epic!! Thank you for making my night and making a forgettable meal truly memorable!

I don't expect I'll be back anytime soon and I recommend you instead check out M.A.K.E in Santa Monica or Cafe Gratitude in Venice and WeHo for top notch Vegan fare.

The concept is fine

The concept is fine
Warm atmosphere, good service and well-cured dishes. The specials of the day very rich and the desserts too, mention of the pasta shells stuffed with almond ricotta with boletus and the chocolate and coffee mousse. I do not give 5 stars because the place is saturated with tables and is quite noisy.

This is one of my favourite spots in the city. Everything about this place is top notch--the pizza, salads and wine. It looks like they may be moving to a slightly bigger location close by and my hope is this doesn't affect what they do.
If you are in the Richmond and want pizza it doesn't get much better than this place.

Service, Ambiance, Food, perfect from start to finish. Our personal favorite were the Crab Cakes, and the Charred Ricotta. Great vegan restaurant. Valet service is available, but there are also parking meters nearby that are free during dinner time.

This place is the bomb. I wish every city had restaurants like these. Completely plant based menu and done the right way. Shows that you don't need meat to be culinary. I love that they have a full liquor bar, and the bar staff was very knowledgeable of the beverages and of the food menu. We ordered the cheese platter and some soup for starters which were both delicious, and followed it with a pasta complete with a vegan raw egg yolk recreation and some roasted squash dish. Devine. Will be returning soon to try more options. Can't wait. Side Note: I saw Danny Devito here the other night and couldn't help thinking of great so many great lines from Its Always Sunny. Love that he enjoys the vegan food.

I'm not vegan but my boyfriend is so I took him to brunch for his birthday. I had the chicken and waffles and he ordered the eggs benedict and wow was it great!! We recently went to eat at Preux and Proper (not vegan) and I had chicken and waffles and I was very disappointed with the food and it was $24! This almost half the price and not real meat blew them out the water. We ordered 2 other dishes to go I know they will be just as great!! (Extra stars)

Chef Tal Ronnan creates some beautiful dishes. I would recommend the oven roasted potatoes they are unbelievable. The charred recotta is full of flavour and great texture. There are also the impossible burger sliders available. I didn't get them because they are not gluten free but there my friend did and love them. Love this place for vegan high dining.

The food is pricey and delicious. The chef is doing some inventive things with the menu trying to do the vegan twist on classic small plate fare. There's nothing really too crave-able at this place. The staff is nice and dressed like old fashioned hipsters.

Lovely environment, lovely lighting, lovely seating, and food to DIE FOR!

My boyfriend couldn't have picked a better place for my birthday dinner. Complements to the chef on such remarkable food that even a non-vegan from the Deep South, like me, could enjoy!

We had the "Crab Cakes", Butternut Squash Pizza, brussel sprouts and the carbonara pasta with the wonderful vegan egg yolk on top.

Oh and four or five drinks as well...

Only come here if you are willing to wait at least an hour! We went across the street and had sake and beer while we waited so it wasn't too bad. The pizza was very good a little pricey, but I was still very pleased and ate my whole personal pizza :-)
