Absolutely amazing cake- you must try the lemon coconut. Also, I got a thumbs up from the owner (?- I'm not totally sure, but it seemed like he was) on some super cute shoes I was wearing- flattery will get you everywhere! Lol. I've also had their granola- super yum. Every person that I've recommended this place to has become an instant fan

They have the best soups ever and help so much when my wife doesn't feel good. Awesome takeout service - they bag the soups. And she is allergic to rye, so they are great about substituting bread when it's available. Incredible quality homemade food. Thanks so much, CD!

Loved the Strawberry Chicken salad and the Broasted Chicken! The bread in the Deli was so wonderful. We took home 2 loaves to enjoy with friends. I put it on my list of favorites when we visit the area.

This place is my favored. I go to plenty of restaurants but to this place I go the most. The team is very welcoming and the food they place on your table is so appetizing. I am always happy to have a good meal in this place. Highly recommended.

Love this place. Best deli I've found in the area. I have had team lunches here and it ends up great. There are a few veg options for anyone that needs it. The prices seem high for a sandwich but they are massive! Also the St. Patrick's day special of corned beef and cabbage is amazing!

Excellent deli sandwiches. Good Sunday brunch; but not really "upscale" - just a good solid brunch. I would say it's on the pricier side for a deli. But they do serve good, quality food. The Italian beef and the Reuben are both excellent.

I've always enjoyed going to this deli/restaurant. I love my dinners there. Today (Sunday), however, the brunch was alright, but not as enjoyable as my evening meals. Our waitress was phenomenal, so 5 stars for her. However, this was the first time I ever had a negative interaction with a member of the deli counter staff. Unfortunately, this time a male member of the staff, who wasn't even preparing my order, felt the need to say that I should have called 20 minutes before to place my order. My deli order wasn't any different, except it was Sunday afternoon versus Friday evening. I'm sure he felt as if he was making a "helpful" suggestion, but the tone and manner in which he said it really took me by surprise. Normally, my husband and I don't decide what we're going to purchase from the deli until after our meal. In any case, I actually needed to sit down and contemplate if I should put back all the items I brought to the counter. My husband eventually purchased the items, but I was left feeling short-changed with customer service today. I'm uncertain if the woman who was preparing my order might have said something that led him to believe she was feeling overwhelmed at the moment, but I would've had no problem waiting if she would have felt she needed to get someone to help her. In any case, I am feeling disappointed, which is unfortunate, because I'll feel a little tinge of something the next time I see him.

Visited Cross Roads on a short visit to Minneapolis on Tuesday, September 11th for lunch. The food was okay, but the service was terrible. The waitress reluctantly took our order; someone else brought the food. The waitress never came to check on us. I finally got her attention when we were done eating , and the bus boy cleared the dishes. I asked for more coffee, but she never brought any. She did finally bring the bill.bill along with her phoney plastered on smile. Since we are generous people, we left her $5.00. We shouldn't have left anything.

Had heard good things about this place, was a little disappointed with the food and the service. Food was a little bland, service was a little slow and the prices seemed a little high. I ordered the hot pastrami on rye sandwich and that's exactly how it came. No swiss, no mustard, nothing to dress it up. Just meat and bread. The pastrami was good although I would have preferred it sliced a little thinner. It wasn't bad, just not my cup of tea.

This place is a place that we frequent. Not a ton of Jewish restaurants in Minnesota and this one is great. For lunch or dinner the Matzo ball soup is great, sandwiches are huge. Good idea to have reservations for brunch, there are lots of choices and dishes are frequently refilled. Stop by the bakery before or after your meal, the black and white cookies are a favorite!

I went here for a casual lunch today, there was no wait for tables but it took close to 10 minutes after we were seated for anyone to come check on our table. After looking at the menu and being surprised at the high-ish prices for basic lunch options, I was expecting large portions and/or really delicious food. I received neither of those, the sandwich was an average size and the fresh deli meat was nice, but that plus a very small handful of potato chips was definitely not worth the price. We only saw our waiter twice, when they came to give us drink/take our order and when they came with the check. The fresh deli/bakery near the front is nice, they sell large portions of all of their soups cold, deli meats, fresh baked bread and pastries. Overall probably would not come back.

$14 turkey club croissant had three slices of turkey, no cheese, and a dry croissant. Fries were tasty, but saltless. Mayo on the side, but it couldn't help the dry turkey. Disappointing sandwich, service was good.

Yummy food from the sit down side! The menu items are delicious and the service was good. My husband had the short ribs and I had the cabbage rolls after sharing the chopped chicken liver appetizer. The takeout side service not so much...ordered a pound of corned beef and the guy wrote down a pound of pastrami *and* a pound of corned beef. We discovered it in the car when trying to figure out why the bill was so much.

Kevin's Combo, and if you're there on the right night, short rib/flaken-in-a-pot. Plus extremely cheesey home-made Mac-n-Cheese; kids love it. Also great breads and treats to bring home from the deli.
