Great motza ball soup, came with two kinds of bread and pickles.
What's not to love. This place is amazing. Been coming here for years and the food is always perfect.
Restaurant serves excellent food and also caters. This is the only Jewish deli of which I am aware on the Minneapolis side if the Twin Cities. Good matzo ball soup.
Fabulous Challah.
Delicious food and good portions. I like the customer service and atmosphere.
I didn't receive my potato salad in the Reuben kit.
The food is fantastic! Service is friendly and fast.
Crosswords has really delicious food. Unfortunately, the service is spotty. Sometimes it's excellent, and sometimes it's not. But we will continue to go back for the atmosphere and the food. It's a standard go-to for our family. Ever since the Lincoln Del closed, there aren't that many good deli options in the Twin Cities for families to sit down and eat together. This is one that fits the bill.
Service was prompt and the restaurant was well kept. The menu was good and the price was reasonable.
I did have a problem though which I didn't report. My order of a pastrami sandwich came as corned beef. Aah whatever.
Aleays good food and good service - a favorite of mine.
Great sandwiches! Of course the pickled beets are the best too
Our meals there today were really not up to their usual standards. The broasted chicken was dry and tough. Hungarian goulash beef tips were also dry and looked like they had been sitting awhile. Really disappointing. Their food is usually so good.
The waitress took the chicken off the bill which was appreciated and quite fair since it wasn't worth eating.
Excellent customer service, but poor food this time.
Been here twice now. Food is much better here than say at a Perkin's. Much more flavor. However the service is pretty substandard. Both times now we've ordered bloody mary's only to have them brought well after our meals were already on the table. The wait staff walks by you two or three times before stopping to ask if they can start you out with anything.
A bowl of soup is brought on a full sized plate and makes you wonder if they are just mixing and matching things. While the rebuen that I had this time suffered from an over abundance of cheese and sauerkraut and only a modest amount of corned beef, while the Crossroads' Hot Corned Beef was piled HIGH with it. The latter sandwich had much more flavor and taste.
Could be so much more.
My wife and I stopped here for dinner just to check it out. I ordered the standard burger not expecting much and my wife ordered the roasted chicken. Little did I know the secret name for this burger was the wrecking ball of awesome. Mainly because they actually knew to rest the meat before putting it on the bun. The chicken my wife ordered was both tender and crunchy. This is very strange because I thought most restaurants made a pact to purposely dry out their meat. So you can imagine our surprise when our food was served hot, fresh, and tasty. The server was extremely helpful explaining the large menu and she was very attentive. We will be returning soon... very soon... maybe tomorrow.
love the place o er people are friendly food was the best will be back
Great Deli food. Try the cabbage rolls and matzo ball soup.
The sandwichs bread was soggy and the food was average nothing special for $50
The brie burger was one of the best things I've ever eaten! The waitress quickly brought us waters and never asked if we wanted anything else, towards the end she was more helpful when we were ready for our box and bill.
I've been going to Crossroads for 13 years. Their food has never been better. The owner, Kevin, still greets everybody at the door. The chef, Scott, cuts the roast beef for their popular Beef on Weck in the dining area for all to watch. The Kevin's Kombo with pastrami & corned beef is out of this world. An amazing bakery, too.

This place is cozy place and very delicious. I will recommend this place. Thumbs up to the staff for being helpful and friendly!
I should have bought 2 Challah Breads. It was so good my family only left me a couple slices by morning! All their foods are great. A bit spendy BUT TOTALLY worth it. Especially because of their HUGE portions. I had dinner and lunch the next day.
Nice little Bakery great food specially the carved roast everyday at lunch
This place was a great find! The food was so delicious and fresh! The service was exceptional! They were friendly and super helpful for first time visitors. There's a sit down area as well as a deli.
Busy at lunch time, great server and food. Beef on Weck and the rueben chowder, mmmm
Great pastrami sandwich! I did wait for a few minutes for a table in an almost empty restaurant. That's the only reason for only 4 stars.
Nice little Bakery great food specially the carved roast everyday at lunch
Had dinner Friday night. Kevin and his team always exceed expectations. Server Michelle is terrific- remembers us from previous visits, personal, attentive service.
Food- shakshouka and cabbage rolls- delicious. And the macaroons are fabulous!!
Love Crossroads. Been coming here for years and the food is always great, the staff are friendly and efficient. The special recently was a lasagna that was heavenly.
Good management, excellent menu, decent service. By a regular!
The food and service was fantastic! It was our first time and it was a great experience!
This is the worst Deli in the Twin Cities! I was last there over a decade ago and thought it was way overpriced then. We were in Hopkins for a movie and decided to give them another chance. That was a bad mistake.
It is Overpriced, inferior Deli food. The cabbage borscht was way too sweet and virtually inedible. They wanted $18.00 for a salmon bagel that is only $7.00 at Brueggers Bagels.
The Matzo ball soup was dreadful. The ball was heavy and tasted like Matzo Meal. The broth tasted like it was like from a can. The service was also slow, We were the only people there at 9:30 and our order took 20 - 25 minutes.
Pass on this overpriced joint and go to Mort's, Brothers or Cecil's. We certainly will not be going back.
A nice Deli, good food, nice staff, Quality of the food is very good. quantity is good, they give you a nice assortment of there excellent bread and pickles to nibble on while you decide what you are going to eat. A nice friendly place to enjoy some Deli food and relax!
We didn't receive what we ordered at first and had a waitress that continued to say she was sorry while not anticipsting what we needed or asking how the food was.
The food was reasonably good but somewhat pricey.
Perfect deli food. Pastrami sandwich was absolutely delicious. Nothing fancy just a good old fashioned super delicious pastrami. The breads at this deli are totally on point. Flavorful, moist, can't say enough good things. The matzo ball soup as it's good as I have ever had. The brouth is out of this world. It is full of vegetables and chicken. The matzo ball itself was perfect.
Our first time visiting Crossroads Deli we were very pleased with our lunch.
My husband enjoyed the Turkey on wreck, the Stawberry Chicken salad was my choice. Service was excellent, my coffee would be filled when it was still half full. Bread was brought to our table, and a small bowl of dill pickles, both complimentary. We were very suprised by the pickles, which are my husbands Favorite!!
We look forward to returning soon!
This place is cozy place and very delicious. I will recommend this place. Thumbs up to the staff for being helpful and friendly!
Excellent Sunday brunch buffet, great variety, quality food.
The brunch buffet was great and service was even better! The caraway rye bread (available for purchase) is wonderful!
Best sliced turkey around. Dollars can add up quickly but these days it happens at most deli s. My go to deli in Minneapolis. Great Challah- bread but you may want to call ahead if you want to get it for Shabbat... secrets out! I recommend.
Great neighborhood restaurant. Breakfast is now served and done nicely. Nice place for conversations with a meal.
I had the Italian Beef sandwich and it was delicious
Crossroads Delicatessen is one of my best places places to eat. It has a nice, casual atmosphere.Great and affordable food.I'd recommend this location to anyone.
Our first visit after a recommendation to Crossroads for the Cabbage Rolls. We ordered that, and a Rueben, believing the odds were that if we didn't like one, we would like the other.
The cabbage rolls were bland and unremarkable, and we did not care for the "borscht" broth, which is slightly sweet, and didn't satisfy either of us.
Sadly, the Reuben was a mountain of saurkraut and swiss cheese. Their take on what should have been a grilled sandwich. I could see the corned beef, but it's flavor was blocked by the cheese. I needed a side of Thousand Island dressing, to add any flavor.
Ironically the best part of the meal was the fresh bread they served to "nosh" while we waited for our order.
I usually do not partake, but it was fresh and delicious.
Kudos to the comfortable decor, and good service. In the future I may try the baked goods or the broasted chicken.
I don't want to give up you yet.
I am so hoping we find a new restaurant with reliably good food between home and work.
So far. We haven't.
Budgeted an hour at 1:00 for soup and sandwich. It's been 45 minutes and no service. Their computers went down and they didn't tell us anything until we needed to pay. I imagine the food could be good in theory, but we are just sitting waiting.
Update: had to leave. Waitress came in the room 20x and never stopped by. We had to leave. No communication. Maybe the food was coming in 1 minute maybe an hour no way to know.
Great goulash, if it's on the menu (usually in winter). Pretty amazing cabbage borscht too.
The best home cooked food I've had in a long time! I love this place, it's my new favorite place to have a meal with my family!
Sandwich was delicious. Potato salad not worth it.
Waiters/waitresses are very friendly and welcoming, and the wide variety of food is great. Best burger I've ever had was here. Definitely recommend to all. You'll want to save room for dessert.
Crossroads deli is a great place to eat. We always order the Turkey on Wekk and their creamy Cole slaw is delicious too,!. They give you a bread basket and dill pickles before the meal and there both delicious but the bread is better!
Had an excellent lunch here. Ordered the Pastrami & Corned Beef sandwich and it was one of the best I have ever had. Also got the sweet potato fries on a recommendation from someone else (I usually don't like them) and they were really good as well. Cannot wait to bring my wife here.
