Wish this location delivered, but they are close on Central.

Chai tea smoothie is the best. Same with Afghani food.
Not feeling it it doesn't smell very good when walking in. Will not support this place.
Seem like decent people. Fast service but some of there customers where very rude and disrespectful to others. Meaning come jump in front of you without saying excuse me.
Tried Football Pizza after driving by it for sometime. I have to say, I m impressed. I ordered the catch pizza and it was fresh and perfectly prepared, great sauce as well. Highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for good quality pizza. 10/10, Will be back!
Some of the best pizza I've had in northeast Minneapolis.
We were the first people to take Meerwais up on a brief four-for-three pizza deal when he first opened at the same time as we bought our first house and had lots of good friends to feed. There's some chance you haven't had pizza quite like this--a piquante red sauce--or nearly so excellent a green sauce to go with it. Perfect crust: crispy but chewy. Delicious!
This pizza is great! Variety of unique frozen and fresh pizzas.
The food is always amazing! The lamb is so nicely flavored, the sauces perfect, and the hummus... Delicious all around. The service is great- the staff is very friendly and willing to recommend dishes if you're unsure what to try.
Excellent pizza; we had the meat lovers and the beef was exceptionally seasoned. The chicken wings here are crispy and the shami kebab were delicious as well. I was a little disappointed by their Greek salad, which I wish had less iceberg lettuce and more tomato, feta, and olives. Nevertheless, staff are very personable, hospitable, and friendly. In chatting, we were offered our pick of drinks on the house. Hope to be back again soon.
They have changed up the pizza and its amazing. They also have frozen ones for take out!
I can't believe it took me so long to try this place. Food was amazing, will 100% be ordering again. I got the Chicken Tikka, two pizzas, brownie, and baklava everything was absolutely delicious!
I like football pizza, I'm eating it right now!
Only 4 stars cuz I ordered double Afghani beef, but they didn't double it. They're pretty ttight with it as an extra topping, too
The worst buffet I have ever tried,no taste no variety,I would never recommend that place ever.
Love the pizza and the green sauce is killer good love it
Well I love visiting new places and new experiences the place looked familiar, it was and still is crescent moon Arabic/Muslim kindve place but it has somehow become or has attached Football pizza while speaking to a gentleman who took my pizza order ( Nice guy by the way gave me a discount after I told him it was my first time there) I noticed people eating and talking and coming and going but I also noticed bugs flying around..I mean come on it's winter where and how is this POSSIBLE all kind of little nets, fly's, BUGS I WAS AFRAID ONE WOULD GET IN MY PIZZA lbvfs well I'm a pizza fan and for the most part it was good u know like okay they also have prepackaged frozen pizzas in freezer right n the lobby!! U will need to check this place out yourself I'm still undecided
Restaurant is not clean at all.
Food is not fresh. Many people got sick eating at this establishment. The father of the owner of the restaurant stares you down, will short hand you and his eyes are constantly on you and for some reason I feel they as owners are very cheap and not genuine.
I don't mean to be rude but honestly the food has a smell to it. Especially the chicken. Just not a clean restaurant.
In general try to avoid the central avenue restaurants area.
I like the food there. The food always has this special taste and a great quality.
No one cares about how good your food is if your service is nasty .. Work on your customer service
came here for my gf's holiday party. super cool dudes run it and who's never wanted pizza and afghani at the same time?!
The football pizza is very good, but the water they serve is terrible. I know - no one goes there to drink the water - just beware!
Place was terrible bad customer service food for buffet looked old and dry not to mention it was cold
I probably should have ordered a gyro. But instead I ordered a full plate. Salad, rice, dry lamb, dry beef. Here's the thing. The food just wasn't special. The red and green hot sauce were decent. But the cucumber sauce was runny and flavorless. And for the price I would say that the quality of the food is not acceptable. It took quite a while to come to the table as well, unacceptable. Also they forgot the milk I ordered. They have a large selection of Pizza in their freezers. And bakery stuff I did not try. Is this a bad place? Not really. Is it a good place? No. Would I eat here again? No. That's what matters. I tried it.
I am very specific when it comes to pizza. I only go very few places to get my pizza and football pizza is one of them. Very friendly people to.
Football Pizza has to be the BEST pizza in Minnesota. The meat lovers pizza (with beef pepperoni) is unbeatable! Their signature green sauce is delicious with pizza. The only change I hope to see is that they begin to offer deals (2 pizzas for $xx, family meal deals, etc)...
I've been going here since I was a kid. So many memories here.
Perhaps it was inevitable that this place would be renamed after its best-seller, but Football Pizza (formerly Crescent Moon Bakery) knows how to do pizza. It's a nice change on a classic: pizza, with a middle eastern twist. The pizza is some of the best in town, in my opinion. However, the service leaves much to be desired. For example, when you call ahead and order a pizza and they tell you 15 minutes, you might arrive to see your pizza leaving with someone else and wind up waiting 15 more minutes for yours. It's a pretty scummy thing to see, and it's happened to me more than once, and I've seen it happen to other people as well. They have to work some kinks out, but it's doable and perhaps some of it is cultural--I'm not sure. That said, the pizza is great!
Super delicious pizza! A little different style, not the same as peace eat pizza
Me and my friend came here to try a Football Pizza and we really liked it.
Great experience, love the green sauce.
The buffet was good but expensive a lot expensive than normal
I visited the Crescent Moon Bakery with a few family members right at noon on a Monday in Aug. I have have been reading how popular this place is but when we got there, there was only other person in the store. This left me curious because I knew we should waiting in line or at least fighting for a table. I didn't even look at the rest of menu we just ordered the large Football pizza which I think is a good place to start. Just so you know this is more then enough pizza for at least 3 hungry adults and maybe even 4 if every doesn't pig out. We grabbed our seats and waited for the pizza. It took about 10 mins for our food to arrive, when it did I ran up to the counter to pick it up. I was really surprised at the amount of meat on the pizza, plus the onions were cut just how I like them nice and big. Both of my boys who are 3 and 5 really liked the pizza. They had to wait a little bit to start eating but that is true with most pizza for them.
After we were done eating I got up to check out their selection of items in the cooler and freezer. They had some Crescent Moon frozen pizzas and also some of their different flat breads for sale. As I was looking at the freezer items the Owner came up and we talked for a bit. I finally got to the bottom of the empty restaurant. Turns out it is the Holy time for Moslems called Ramadan. For this holy time they do not eat any food until the sun goes down. He said they have a big prayer time, and then a buffet afterwards around 8:30 at night.
This place is the real deal and should be checked out ASAP. Be sure to start with the Football pizza.
Food and service is great. Family owned, very quality and memorable.
Based on personal experience, the food has been tasty, low price on many selections, and service has been good.
The only problem about ordering here is the fomo you get from everything else on the menu when you pick up. Every time I walk in I see 8 other things I want. Definitely recommend- underrated.
Really good pizza and always fresh and great friendly fast service I love this place
FOOTBALL PIZZA!!! This pizza is awesome!!! I have eaten there twice this week alone. The chutney is amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. I wish I knew about the pizza sooner. I recommend a build your own football pizza. I had a chicken, hot pepper, pineapple, and green pepper which was to die for!!!!! Try your favorite. You will not be disappointed!!!
Old food 15 people went and got sick
The next day we went for Iftar during Ramadan you shouldn't serve garbage when someone is starving all day and you feed them garbage for 20$ 6 out of 15 people went home and threw up we are definitely never going there again
I have been going to football pizza for over 3 years, I have never once been disappointed by the quality or quantity of their large pizzas. My favorite order is one large gyro pizza (a must try) and one large mediterranean which is amazing as well. They provide a dipping sauce with their pizza that is very tangy and pairs well with their pizzas! Overall a delicious local pizza experience
I have gotten their pizzas before and they were great. This time not so much. We got a 'house special' take-out. It was ready when I got there (at the time they said it would be ready) and being kept warm. It was still warm when I got home. When I opened the box it was apparent that the toppings weren't there as usual. We ate it and it was OK, crust was good, but not a lot of flavor that they usually have. I'm disappointed.
different kind of pizza....very flavorful and never disappoints
Such a cool place. Their football pizza is amazing, but they have a bunch of other food I want to try.
I tried the meat pizza. Delicious and one of the best halal pizza I have tried in town.
Always have loved football pizza! Great menu , great quality items. An amazing family-owned business with great staff and even better food! I recommend this to everyone visiting the area, stop by and give them a try!! Personal Favorites: Chicken Tikka Plate and the Chef's Special Pizza!!!
Delightful lil football-shaped quarantine za No gimmicks, just tasty and cost effective.
... Its a football pizza.... What more do you need to know.
Absolutely the best meal I have enjoyed in Minneapolis. Amazing pizza, kebabs, salad - all with incredible customer service. The Naan and Pita is homemade by what must be a master baker. Kebabs and rice seasoned and cooked masterfully. And the game changer - baked fries that that are the best I have ever had. Thanks to my friend AJ and is amazing family. I remain truly grateful. Kudos for an exceptional experience!
They are the best in halal food in twin cities, Abdullah the owner is great man. Their buffet and pizza are amazing.
Great spot for halal food. The football Pizza is well renowned and worth a stop! Owners are always great to chat with.
Love the food here! Super friendly staff and delicous food every time! Totally the place to hang out and have a nice meal with your family.
Delicious! I highly recommend the meat loves pizza! Try all three of their sauces with it!
Interesting combination of food. Never had a Halal pizza before. I was a bit apprehensive about no pepperoni and having lamb on a pizza. Overall I thought it turned out very good. I'm not ready to give up pepperoni, but still good pizza.
Very delicious pizza, pocket pita bread is the best in the Twin Cities, very fresh!!
A fantastic, unique pizza place. The crust is a beautiful Afghani sourdough and all the toppings are extremely high quality. Try the spicy green dipping sauce. I've never had anything like it!
