Yes, the pizzas are shaped like footballs. Yes, the slices are big and gorgeous. Yes, it's delicious. You can get frozen pizzas to go, as well as, baklava, pita bread, and a wonderful assortment of sodas/teas/juices. A great lunch spot where you can watch soccer. Don't forget to try their signature sauces!

I love pizza, I love pizza A LOT. If you love pizza then let me tell you, you have never had pizza until you have had a freshly made Football pizza with a few sides of chutney - it is absolutely fantastic! The plates are great too. I have ordered from here many times throughout the years and it has never disappointed.

Had the meat lover pizza which is gyro, beef and chicken. It was decent. Not the best pizza ever but definitely good. To be a meat lover pizza the toppings were kind of light. I also had the gyro plate... eh. At best. The rice was flavorful. The meat was fine, typical gyro meat. The sauce, cucumber, was super watery. I was underwhelmed.

I used to go over to this place with my family for platters and football pizza. My last trip was after years and I certainly was surprised how much the quality of food has gone down the hill. For starters, the manu had changed and upon enquiring with the front counter staff abt vegetarian options, simple answer was they are new and simply were clueless abt Afghan food. The inside kitchen staff too seemed so rude and didn't quiet give us a good answer.
Finally got the football pizza which was ok. The frozen section items also seemed like they were stale. Sad to see such an authentic food place going down the hill.

We got takeout pizza and it was amazing! The Chef s special has eggplant, mushrooms and juicy kalamata olives atop a thick crust, zesty sauce and a sheet of cheese. Mmm. And how many pizza places also have French fries (delicious!) and baklava (didn t get it this time). Instant new favorite! See you next week, Football Pizza!

I think the food used to taste better. Fresher.

I think the food used to taste better. Fresher.
We were the only people in the restaurant and our food was overcooked. Salad was not fresh (or good).
Pizza was listed for $3 a slice but it was such a small piece of pizza which made it a ridiculous price. I used to get the football pizza here but didn't this time so can't say for certain.
I might come back again but would need to see improvements to the food itself.

As a central avenue regular i have mixed feelings about Football Pizza. I was refered by a coworker about the 9$ gyro with fries and "side salad" combo.

The Price was actually $9.72 and the side salad was actually just the tomatoes and lettuce that belong on the gyro.

The french fries are an over all dissapointment. They had not been toosed with seasoning but it looked like someone has just thrown some seasoning in the box. The overall aesthetic of the french fries looked sad.

The Gyro was ok.
The bread was great while the meat was lacking in spice and was overdone.
If you want to eat a great gyro go to Holy Land uo the street.

I think Football pizza should stick to Pizza.

Also while their pizzas where shaped like a American football they where playing european football on their TV... Very confusing.

the pizza has some spices in it that are just incredible. the food reminds me a little of pakistani food, esp since it's technically Afghani food. It's so damn good. Their other food outside of pizza is incredible as well, and the portions are delicious.

Not a very fancy looking restaurant but the food here is delectable.
Food, staff and the service is tops!
Love the white, green and red sauce with the most delicious pizzas in the Twin City.

Who knew gyro meat on a pizza would be the best combination ever?! I love their pizza. I only am giving them four starts because they aren't very professional with food orders on the phone, but otherwise this place is great.

First time trying Football Pizza. When we went it was really quiet, the young cashiers were very polite and patient with us (since we took our time exploring the menu). The food came out in about 15 minutes. Very delicious and flavorful (don t forget to ask for the sauces). It will deff fill you up and you might take some home given the generous amount of rice they give. Next time we ll be trying the pizza!

Great customer service probably helps that I tipped 20% which I will continue to do. I really do not regret springing an extra 3 bucks for extra cheese. It was seriously one of the best pizzas I've had in a very long time. Even the crust was delicious. Beef pepperoni nice and crunchy!!!!

Meat Lover Pizza was best and delicious. Meat was so fresh and has taste. Hawaiian pizza is much better if you like pineapples.

Classic Gyro: Meat was dry and specially the bread. it does not go with gyro sandwich. They need to use pita or same bread with thin layer so you can eat it as a sandwich.

So I tried to eat here on a Tuesday at 12:30pm for the lunch buffet advertised as being from 10-3 daily. I walked in and saw 4 pathetic looking pieces, not 4 pizzas, 4 pieces of pizza under a sign that said slices $3. I went to the counter and asked about the buffet, thinking it was maybe in the other room. The guy said that was the buffet. I asked if there were more pizzas, and he said they had one coming. Usually when you go to a pizza buffet they have at least five to six different pizzas out at a time. The guy said they don't like to put a lot out until it gets busy because the pizza gets dried out. Um, okay. Maybe you're not busy because you have no pizza. See how that works? They also had a salad bar, but it looked pretty anemic as well. I guess I'll stick to Broadway, where they keep the pizza buffet fully stocked no matter how busy or quiet it is.

Wonderful food with top tier service! The food is phenomenal and the portions are sizeable. Their famous meat lover football pizza is out of this world! The price of the food is very affordable especially considering the quality and the quantity. It's easy to get to and there is a parking lot in the back so you don't have to park on the street. It's open late and has takeout available as well. By far, my favorite Afghani restaurant!

Ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza!

Ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza!
Keep in mind I'm a pizza fanatic/lover. Pizza keeps me breathing.
On the mouthwatering pizza is gyro, beef & chicken baked to perfection! I absolutely enjoyed this pizza, it's in my top 4 for sure. 9/10 only because more sauce on the pizza is needed. The changes I would make to the sauce recipe would be to add some brown sugar for a sweeter taste, and a couple pinches of basil. The pizza crust was phenomenal, tasting homemade. Speaking of homemade, the fries tasted homemade as well. I'm also a fry fanatic/lover and these fries were delectable! 10/10 and in my top 5. Well Done and take my money!

Got two small pizzas one was meat lovers and the other chef special which had egg plant in it. Very tasty and generous quantities. A must eat of you visit Minneapolis.

Update:
Do not walk in and place an order to go, takes over an hour to ready the pizzas. Always place an order over phone Atleast an hour ahead.

Update:
New location made me wait over salad for an hour, coz they didn't have ingredients, no discount for wasting 1 hour my time.
