Crazy Pianos Review

6 Months ago: "Always fun! I enjoy coming here several times a year."

Now: The new concept and appearance of Crazy Pianos was an unexpected setback. The accessible cozy home atmosphere has completely disappeared. The food is expensive in proportion (already 15 euros for half a handful of food). Very high for a 'shared dining concept'. So I will not eat here anymore.

The staff tries to radiate the home atmosphere. But I feel sorry for them ... The pleasure no longer radiates from them.

The only thing that has remained are the fantastic artists. Hence a 2nd star. I really hope they don't leave after this drastic change.

We had a nice meal there with the company. Music was way too loud you could hardly hear each other while eating. So while eating the music is a bit less loud. You were also pushed out of your seat after dinner by the other guests. This should be arranged better. Food was very tasty, by the way.

Weird experience... Went to meet some friends and turned out they had live music done by two piano/keyboard players and a drummer. Music was great but needed more space to dance... Drinks were relatively cheap the downside was you had to pay 10.00 to get in.

Good atmosphere, live music and good food! Recommended

A cozy place to go. Our grandson was allowed to play drums with the band. Friendly service. We will definitely be back.

Live band was not so good, the covers they played were not very well played and mostly not finished before the next one was started.
Other personnel was very friendly, bartenders quick and atmosphere nice

Had the complete program here. First neighbors have a drink. Then eat and then VIP round off the evening. I regularly read bad stories but I liked it. Good food, great live music from talented musicians. The toilet lady was a bit cranky but oh well. VIP section was kept neatly free from uninvited guests. As far as I'm concerned had a good experience!

Too bad I had to hand over my jacket because "it would be mandatory" and later when we were inside many people had taken their jacket ...
After 15 minutes asked for the card because they did not come, we also got one while all other tables did get one for everyone, I thought this was very special.

Music was very nice and also good food, but due to the first impressions yesterday I didn't get a good feeling from it and I think that's a shame.

Review based on a night visit. A warning you pay entry, you pay wardrobe and you pay for each toilet visit. Music was good, atmosphere a bit less, a lot of tension. Yet this is the only place to visit when going out at night in Scheveningen.

Food was ok, but the portion was ridiculously small. Totally not worth it.

We have been there twice and loved the live music. Great atmosphere. The waitress was excellent.

We had a Cesar salad and bruschetta for dinner. Unfortunately it was not good. The salad hat absolutely not taste and the bread from the bruschetta was burned. The was bruschetta was also cold served and I just had the taste of opinions in my mouth.
I told the waitress about it and she took it off the bill.

Even if the food wasn't that good, we are coming back in Summer

Shitty midi music and they cheat you on the bill. The menu states 6 but the actual price is more, because "the register" says so.

Great atmosphere through the live music. The food is tasty, but not special, but that's not what it's all about. The staff is friendly.

On weekends dresscode required. Wonderful live music. Good choice of drinks.

Very nice. We had a nice deal through social deal. 4 dishes and dessert. Was really way too much. Unfortunately they have been left unchanged. But definitely worth repeating! We did have a spot right on the walkway at the piano. As the music went up, I found that less. Understandable due to social deal.

Last year I took many friends to this place and I really appreciated it a lot. We felt good on the weekend evenings, we listened to live music, we danced.
This year, unfortunately, they went crazy in the last resort.
Last Friday, together with a girl, we were denied entry on the grounds that there were no more seats. The terrace was almost empty, inside it seemed more crowded.
This Friday, my friend and I, in the evening, were denied entry because they were wearing sandals. We left, and looked at those on the terrace. I identified at least 3 people in sandals.
I found out. What you were, and what you became. I will not try for the third time. Some will deserve bankruptcy.

Great place, if you want good food and then want to go all the way out on really good live classics.

Slowly build up with music from dinner. The build-up to an open dance floor is perfect. The food is just good for a good fair price. Waiting staff is clearly experienced and seems to be working with good sense and you notice it all. Next time we will take a hotel and stay a little longer. 100/100 points!

The waiter was extremely rude right after I paid the bill, like, for nothing! No reason! I've never been treated like this before.

The food is really super divine tasty hence 4 stars. Furthermore, I find staff incredibly arrogant, old setting and new setting nothing changed. And seriously ... pay 1.50 per cash / items and .. toilet tip is appreciated. And you pay an entrance fee. Arrogance at its best. Sin!

New Year's Eve party, too many tickets sold for capacity. Was too busy, as herring stood in a ton.

Cozy cafe-restaurant with as the name suggests live piano music.
On the terrace there is a big red wing, played by various pianists / singers. Regularly accompanied by percussion / drums. Definitely worth a moment to enjoy the atmosphere, drink and / or snack.

Even on Sundays .... the best pub in the country !!

Nice place. Nicely refurbished, the atmosphere has remained the same. Have heard the same songs a few times on one evening, too bad.

The birthday we celebrated here was fun, but Crazy Pianos was not what I expected. Uninspired pianists, our requests did not play and bad sound installation. Food was okay.

Yesterday evening delicious eaten in the totally renewed Grazy Pianos.
That was delicious.
Has also become very beautiful.
The service is as always top there are people working there that I have met for years.
But it has been given a major negative twist. They now also play a DJ for half an hour !!
What a detriment to the atmosphere.
This would be a reason for me not to choose to go there next time with a group of friends.
I expect live music all night, that's what we come for. A DJ plays in every tent for that does not have to come to Scheveningen. I sincerely hope that they will reverse this. Find a real shame. They should not have changed this formula, I heard more people complaining. We left immediately after the last singing. I hope the owner reads this and does something with it.

Nice tent. Good music and good atmosphere. Been with company party. Everything was well organized.

Yesterday, 12th of april, was the reopening of Crazy Pianos. Started of weird, with the employees checking out our female guests. The artists were great, but the food was far from special. In my opinion not worth the price. And still the thought of the employees checking out the female guests filled me with disgust.

Eaten very badly! Paid hope and spat at night too.
We will never go back here !!!! We do get fries on the corner!

Welcoming and good food and drinks and also very nice.

Bad service, bad acoustics, overcrowded. Very touristic and too Dutch. On Saturdays you pay 10 entrance fee excluding drinks and it's definitely not worth it. If you're looking for something more elegant and comfortable, this is not the place to be.

A family restaurant that plays music and works for everyone.

Return again after 12 years.

Fun atmosphere and piano playing was good.
Food was lovely. However we waited an hour and a half for our food. Waiters were hard to come by. I had 2 drinks in the 4 hours I was there. My partner went to the bar and got rudely told, you can't order here.
They did say sorry for the wait. But didnt take anything off the price of the bill. Not in a hurry to go back.

Nice for a night out. The times I was there were very busy.

Only after 4 watery overpriced cocktails does the music start to sound somewhat similar to that of the local street fair. You are broke afterwards, 10 euros entrance, compulsory paid wardrobe, paid to the toilet, expensive drinks etc.

The staff only have to meet one requirement: Grumpy.

After 10 minutes and arguing with the doorman, ran out of the place, was a shame about the birthday, but sitting on the beach is so much more valuable.
