Atrocious Customer Service at Niro Granite

Dealing with Niro Granite HQ was a total nightmare from start to finish. Something I would never have expected from a company selling one of the most expensive tiles on the market in Malaysia.

I ordered two different colored tiles of the same series for use in the same room (my bathroom). After delivery, I realized they had given me two different calibers, caliber M2 and caliber M3, different calibers that had very large size variations between them, making them impossible to be used in the same room. It is even written on the side of their box that different calibers should not be used in the same location. Bearing in mind I specifically told the salesperson before my purchase that these two tiles were to be used in the same room.

I immediately made a complaint to the salesperson requesting that the either color be exchanged so that the sizes would match up. Despite constant follow-ups and reminders, it took them nearly 2 WEEKS to redeliver my tiles (causing work delays at my site). While throughout those 2 weeks they were constantly giving me different updates on the status, one day it would be in stock the next day they would say there is no stock and so forth.

When they finally told me they found the stock, I was told I could only exchange 26 cartons (I originally purchased 28 cartons of this tile) because they only had 26 cartons in stock. I had requested to exchange the other 2 cartons once new stock came in but they denied my request saying it has been too long since the original delivery and I couldn t exchange them anymore. This was extremely unfair to me because it was their mistake and slow response that caused all this in the first place and now I have 2 cartons of tiles (caliber M3) which I paid for but can t use.

In the end, I was forced to repurchase another 4 cartons of caliber M2 tiles from their new stock (2 to replace the 2 wasted M3 cartons and 2 spare) because I did not have enough tiles to complete my bathroom.

You would think that would be the end of my nightmare, but after driving all the way to their warehouse to collect the 4 cartons (yes, they denied me delivery of these 4 cartons and also forced me to come on a weekday to collect them). I found out they had keyed in the wrong size in to their system . They were going to give me 60x60cm tiles instead of the 30x60cm ones I already ordered and paid for nearly a week ago. To make matters worse, they told me their system was inflexible and they were unable to give me the correct tiles on the spot.

Despite all that, they again refused to deliver the tiles for me and I would have to come back a few days later to collect them. More wasted time and money on my part. This was the final straw for me. I was not gonna do this review before this happened but now I feel I have to.

Throughout the entire ordeal, at no point did they offer me any compensation for my wasted time and money. Not even a better discount on additional 4 cartons I had to purchase. In hindsight, perhaps I should have taken the lousy and uninterested attitude of most of their sales staff as an indicator of things to come. But the 1 or 2 decent ones had convinced me that purchasing from this company would fine. Let this be a warning to anyone considering purchasing from Niro.

Nice showroom and staff are friendly. You can also buy Seconds at the warehouse nxt to the Main Showroom.
