Thanks so much to Crater Lake RV Park and its staff for a most excellent week-long stay! The hospitality and atmosphere there are truly something that make it a place I'd want to return to experience. From the helpful staff initially backing me into my wooded, semi-secluded and clean, full-hookup site to the manicured grounds with fountains and statues -- even a wonderful model train setup on the proprietors' property, and then the Saturday night music and BBQ gathering topped off why Crater Lake RV Park will certainly leave most everyone with a desire to come back!

The whole staff at Crater Lake RV Park are helpful and awesome. They had maps and recommendations around the area drawn out for us to explore. Park is well kept and I really enjoyed our time there even during winter when things are a little slow. Definitely recommend this place and will revisit when we comeback to Crater Lake.

If you go in the rest area on the way up there is no exit you have to turn around in the parking lot not a lot of room. We were towing a car on a dolly you can't safely back it up without damage so we had to unload the car in order to turn around then re load the car and it was dark not good

Great little rv park. Long sites but alittle narrow and tight to neighbors but worked. The park staff was super got us in in short notice. They are very nice. Will certainly return here. No park is a five but this one is a 4 3/4.

Super friendly staff. They even invited my family to their Thanksgiving Dinner. When it snowed they had staff cleaning the drive consistently. So many nice walking trails it's hard to not get lost in the beautiful scenery. Being a young couple with a RV sometimes you feel like all the oldest veteran RV owners are judging you. But here...Its judgment free.

Fantastic RV park, I highly recommend staying here and will definitely return myself. The owner lives on site and so is personally very invested in the park and making it the best place to stay. The camp hosts are all very friendly and helpful, between the host and owner they've created a map of recommendations of things to do and see in the area besides Crater Lake. I've been at many different RV parks, this was by far one of the best yet.

Full hook-ups for a good price near Crater Lake.

Full hook-ups for a good price near Crater Lake.

Sites/setting:
Sites are very narrow with little outdoor living space.

Many sites are partially separated by trees/wood patches. Gravel pads, ours was fairly level.

Many long term residents. Some of which do not seem to have any standards/regulations set that they need to follow. Tarps were used to cover their campers, piles of other storage items, 4-wheelers, etc. One resident had at least 6 bags of trash outside their camper during our entire 3-night stay. One of these residents was our next door neighbor, so we had a nice view of a pile of junk covered by tarps (see picture).

Amenities/Utilities:
All sites have picnic tables. You can have a fire ring delivered to your site with wood for $10.50; HOWEVER, make sure you have a site that they allow fires. There are about 5 sites that you cannot have a fire (including ours- site 19)

WiFi was available, but i could only get it to work (slowly) when I was outside. I did not have cell service while there either.

Prospect was only a mile away and had a gas station (with diesel opened 8am-8pm), a small grocery/country store, and a couple restaurants.

I did not see a laundry facility, but I may have missed it.

No dog park or doggie bags provided.

Activities:
There is access to the river, but we didn t have a chance to check it out.

It took us about 45 minutes to get to Crater Lake s south entrance and a little over an hour to get to the north side.

Natural Bridge was only about 10 minutes away.

No military discount offered.

My rating was based on the site we were given and our experience there. I honestly think we got a bum spot and could have enjoyed our stay more in a different site.

The hosts were so friendly. Everything was very clean. My kids enjoyed the paths from the park down to the river. There were puddles on the rocks where we spent much time finding tadpoles. We weren t there on the weekend, but it sounded like they had a community fire and live music. Sad to miss that

Facilities were clean, if a little dated (1 toilet stall and 2 showers in a mobile trailer set up). The hosts were great! They had homemade muffins, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, etc on Saturday morning and even brought in a guitarist for a campfire/smores/hot dogs get together that night. It was so nice! The sites are in the trees and even though you're close to the highway, it's hardly noticeable. There was an occasional fecal smell coming from somewhere. But the trails that lead down to the Rogue are nice and we rode our bicycles into Prospect and saw some waterfalls and the Avenue of Boulders was worth it!

30 min from the lake, WiFi connected and had a baseline speed for like email. Small park, no amenities like playground or pool. One shower per gender on our side. Laundry was locked except when office open but Office never opened. After hours number was answered and they got us a fire ring that was missing. We decided to leave a day early and before checkout time and they would not refund that nights payment. I probably would try somewhere else next time but not a bad choice.

I am a retired Police Officer...per my wife, I'm critical of everything and damn near everyone. But...you will NOT read a negative word with my review of Crater Lake RV Park. Let me throw some names out there before I forget them: Pam Lee, Terry, Dennis, Cathy, Sylvia, and Linda. These are the folks who went out of their way each and every day to make our 2 day stay so memorable. The park is well situated. It is a visually enjoyable half hour ride from Crater lake and a short ride from the town of Prospect where there is a very cool bubbling waterfall over large boulders. OK, if I had to find something to complain about, maybe the bathroom/showers. They could use a bit of work, but...the staff and cleanliness of this RV park far makes up for the bathrooms. Here's what I really wanna say though. We arrived the day before the eclipse. I was told the owner, who lives right on the property in a beautiful little cottage on your left as you drive in, put the word out that the entire camp was invited to her lawn during the eclipse. What she didn't say was that she was gonna put out a huge breakfast spread for everyone...including champagne mimosas! Take a look at my posted photo. WHO DOES STUFF LIKE THAT??? This is my very first post for an RV park...ever!! I wanted my very first one to be a good one...this one is a great one. Thank you all for making one of our stops on my post retirement 6 week RV trip the most memorable.

Very rustic park.NO PHONE SERVICE.

Very rustic park.NO PHONE SERVICE.
Not the parks fault. Water pressure could have been better. The sites are surronded by huge pines. Great setting. The WiFi is DSL. once again, Not the parks fault. There is no fast internet available in the area. They are supposed to be getting fiber optics.

Beautiful park. Large campsites shaded by big pine trees. New bathroom and shower house building. Friendly and helpful camp hosts. We have traveled extensively with our 35 ft 5th wheel. This ranks as our favorite park.

One of the best places we've stayed! Beautiful campground with nice sized sites. The wifi was pretty good, definitely better than most of the campgrounds we've been in. The park was located close to Crater Lake and dozens of gorgeous hikes with waterfalls! The bathrooms are probably the only area of opportunity but they were functional and clean. The price is very reasonable and based on your length of stay, so the longer you stay the cheaper it is!

Very attentive staff. I needed to attend an online class that extended past the check out time and they graciously let me stay a little later so I could use their wifi. Very cool day camp area behind by the dam.

I really like this place. The host were very calm and nice, unlike the other host from other parks. The area is nice, quiet, has full hook-up, they have wifi, but is not that great, a lot of space between each RV, to were you feel the privacy. Take a car becuse everything is not to a walking distance.
