Terrible experience! We bought tickets for the 02-27-16 Billy Joel tribute. Doors were supposed to open at 7:00. We got there about 6:15, went next door for a drink, then returned at 6:50 or so. By that time, another couple was waiting to get in. 7:00 came and went, and no activity inside at all. Finally, one gentleman who had driven from Byron went to the Rookery to try to get some information. Come to find out, the show had been cancelled/postponed with NO NOTIFICATION AT ALL! No person there to let us know, heck, not even a SIMPLE SIGN ON THE DOOR. They just left us hanging. This place needs to get its act together. We've been to several shows in the past and things were pretty good, but if this is how they do business now, I want no part of it.

Macon GA Hidden Treasure:)) It is such a wonderful venue. I wish they played independent films on a regular schedule, maintained the bar while people watched the film and had dinner. I came my first year in college, had cheese pizza, and watched a film.

Super place to see a show. Just the right size venue to have nice options and small enough to feel like you are not miles away from the stage. Cool staff that treats you like they appreciate your business from the bar service to the security staff, all seem to take pride in their job.

We caught a show here spur of the moment and loved it! Even though they don't have food, they will let you bring in food from The Rookery around the corner. So we got an awesome Burger and brought it in where we stood at a table watched the show and ate a good meal.

We visited to see Riley Green in concert. Got tickets for the seating in the balcony. Seats were comfortable enough and could see the stage without much issue at all. The attendees in the their early 20's were quite drunk as can be imagined but generally well behaved. The only issue I had was the sound was.... Not clear. Vocals were overpowered by the music. Whoever handled the mixing needs more training. That could have been on the artists side, not sure. Regardless we enjoyed the venue and will return.

Enjoy the fact that this place brings in these bands. I've seen Whisker Myers, Anderson East. And Kansas along with Paul Thorn , Chris Knight, Ray Wiley Hubbard, Chris Stapleton and Luke Combs there. Thanks for what you do for Music fans.

Sitting here waiting for the bands dirty doors and rumours to begin. For some reason someone thought it would be a good idea to play tv show theme song music to get folks ready for the show. Just sat through happy days theme song being played WAY too loud. Come on guys, surely you can do better than that.

I am so proud of the Cox Capitol Theater and am thankful for all the awesome shows I've caught here; Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, Leftover Salmon, Chris Stapleton.... Great ticket and drink prices with a laid back atmosphere. Love that they are keeping the musical heritage going from Capricorn Records and the Allman Brothers Band being here from Macon. I've probably been to well over 50 shows here and counting! Keep up the good work guys and keep the southern rock, funk, blues, jam sound coming!

We have attended 3 concerts at this venue, and have enjoyed each one. We live in Henry county, and drive just under an hour. Well worth the drive. Tickets are always extremely reasonable! We've been fortunate each time to find parking very close by. We will continue to travel to Macon to see artists we enjoy that book the Hargray Capitol Theatre!

We really enoyed our first experience here seeing Mangrove Moon, which was a super fun local band. The staff that checked us in were very pleasant. Security dudes cruised a lot and seemed professional. Sound was awesome. Only a handful of chairs but we got there early. Its really fun to see a " concert " at an affordable price and then simply walk out and get in your car.

Went there for a great charity show that was free, with old school great, Bobby Rush and the awesome young up-and-comer, Heather Gillis! But management is a bit clueless? It's a nice old theater though, even though those ancient, non-code stairs, can be difficult and dangerous to navigate!
