Cowabunga Bay Review

Cabanas are totally worth it!!! Park is a little on the small side but still has plenty of slides, a wave pool, lazy river, and a kiddie area. The food is good and they have many amenities. Cabanas come with power, a safe, waitstaff (with a call button) and unlimited ice water included.

Too crowded because of the discounts offered. Not enough tubes for everyone. Rides are tame compared to Wet n' Wild. It was ok to check it out but won't go again.

Great place to spend with the family during the hot Las Vegas Summer.

Fun park, rides are pretty cool, the locker set up and bathrooms are decent, the lay out is pretty good too, just the prices are ridiculous!! Admission is horrible and food prices are horrible!!

Great place to take grandchildren of any age. Age appropriate rides. Spent half my time with my 2 year old granddaughter and 4 year old grandson and the other half the day riding all attractions with my 12 year old granddaughter

We got in on a really good deal we found on line so it was fine for what we paid but if we had paid full price it it would have been so not worth it. Rides were okay, water was clean, lines weren't to bad.

Love this place. But we came on cheap Tuesday soooo it was PACKED. Line ups for the slides we're about 30 minutes long or longer. We managed to get on one slide. Luckily we didn't have to pay full price. Although sucks we wasted the money to travel there. Ended up staying in the lazy river the whole time. Would have just stayed in our hotel if we knew the lineups would be crazy. But still a great place, just be careful with discount days lol

The staff is awful and I was told we could not bring sandwiches or water in for our 3 and 5 year old. They wanted to put our stuff in a staff fridge for holding. We all have a special diet and would not accommodate us and I am not letting them put our food in some strange fridge. When I showed the manager the policy posted on the website which states we can bring sealed items and food in for the kids they told me it was up to interpretation even as i showed it to him in black and white print. I told them I wont be back and they said GOOD It got to the point I started video taping the staffs behavior. I do not recommend this place for families with children or anyone with special diets. All they want is people to spend money on the absolute junk they offer in the park. We will NEVER come back and I guarantee no one I know will. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Response to owner: we did not stay at the park for the entire day. We were however locked in due to a groupon purchase so yes we used the park for our 3 and 5 year old for a few hours. Also we brought in 2 sandwiches which did happen to be in the same ziplock for them and a couple of granola bars and were denied. Also we cannot guarantee that any of your food items are allergen free or handled in a way that is within the guidelines of our dietary needs. Point being your staff and the way they handled it was terrible and whoever you think you are dont act like you know me and were there dealing with the issue. Also the idea that your staff said the rules were up to interpretation even though we were within the guidelines of the policies stated on the website outside of the sandwiches being individually wrapped which is a joke. Rest assured we will never be back and I will/do highly recommend everyone go to the competing parks in the area based on principle alone.

It's a super nice place just not worth 25 per person.

I love Cowabunga Bay! I only got to go once this year but it was so much fun and the lifeguards are very nice!

Cool ste up but a little under whelming for the price

It's a fun place to take the kid's to kool off from this Las Vegas heat. Some food items are over priced, but any parent wanting to spend time with there young one's won't mind. Staff is very friendly and willing to help in any way possible. Lines to get on rides move very fast. This was my first experience at Cowabunga bay with my kid's. We had such a great time, before we left I bought season passes for all my kid's. Thanks Cowabunga bay we'll be back.

Wow, my kids love this place. This water park is awesome!!!! Try the wave pool and board walk. Seasonal tickets are expensive, but worth every penny if you have the time to go daily.

There are NO good days and times its ALWAYS, Filthy, overcrowded, under staffed & unsafe! The Health Department had them shut down their largest attraction after inspections. No discount offered at entry. A little boys body was pulled from the wave pool on Father's Day 2017. This is a repeat of 2015. They thought they could turn off my comments but looks like I just found a different forum pictures speak a thousand words..No fun here says the life guard!!!

Fun experience! I would highly recommend friends to visit this place. Although the wait was long, it was worth it. I loved every rides!

Finally after three years of living in Las Vegas I decided to go to cowabungabay with my family and it was so much fun.

Fun and nice park to go for a day, I think Wet n Wild is better.

It's pretty good! But in the water you can't really wear mask and it's impossible to keep 6 feet. If you care about that maybe it's not the place to go. Overall it's still fun to play with water.

Best 4th of July! Was only $20 and they even had fireworks show at the end of the night!

GREAT family fun. Park isn't very big which is actually nice. Friendly staff, food and drinks are good and park is clean.

First time I've ever been and we went for the Christmas lights and had a BLAST!!! I would recommend it to anyone with kids for sure!!

Great water park.... Love the staff, the grounds are perfect, the rides are fun.

Staff was friendly and the rides where fun lots of places to sit and relax.

Not really any wait lines for rides. Big area and doesn't have a toilet smell like the other water park here in Vegas.

So much fun!!! All the slides are unique, the staff are EXTREMELY nice and helpful even going out of their way to give you a friend to ride with If you don't have enough people to ride a ride. The only problem I had is me getting stuck on the surfing USA ride's hill, but that's because I wasn't putting enough weight on the front of the mat. All in all the place is really fun and in my opinion better than and easier to get to than Wet N' Wild.

Clean and well run, come before 1pm to beat the crowds. It's half off on Tuesdays!

Best place if you have smaller kids or just want a relaxing day without a ton of noisy or obnoxious teens like wet n wild

The food is way too expensive and has been getting more pricey every year

They charge you to enter the park even if you cannot participate. My 9 monthes pregnant and I have a 7 year old who want to go here. Not recommended due to no exceptions I will have to pay full price to go in and I cannot even participate in anything which doesn t seem right just for one child to play in water I m out of 80$

Love it here!!! Kids have a blast and the staff is wonderful. Prices are a bit high but you can do things to make it work for your budget such as bring food and do a picnic outside the park to save on food prices. Definitely a great day for all ages!!

My family loves Cowabunga!
We have had a better time this year at Cowabunga than we did last year at Wet N Wild.
The staff is more professional and it isn't as crowded.

I enjoy the park but when I have to listen to you guys blast your music till 1 or two in the morning it s wrong. There s kids and people who have to work in the morning. I have lived here before y all were being built. I understand having private events but please take in to consideration your surrounded by homes and if I can feel the vibrations and your music that s shaking my home then it s to loude especially at 1 or two in the morning. I enjoy the park but I don t want to support a business that s keeping my family and kids up. All night. It s inconsiderate and it s scaring animals. Wish y all would think about the people that have to listen to y all every day.

My family and I just spent the day at Cowa Bunga. We paid $29.99 per ticket from the groupon app, $7 for parking, $199 for the cabana and brought our own food and beverages to enjoy outside the park on 3 picnic tables. About $475 total, but it was worth it. Park, pools and bathrooms were clean. The cabana was awesome to have when the sun was at its brightest hottest. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will go again before the summer is over. Thank you CBB Team.

My kids had a great time although the tubes for the wild surf water slide kept popping

Today is Friday website said it was to open@5 I came all the way from home to find out the park is close today waste of trip it s nice and hot out let us in

I love this place! Good price, good varieties of fun and its very clean,relaxing and enjoiable place to take the family!

We got the park on a employee discount so right off the bat we were happy to see the park at a discount. Be prepared to have extra cash on hand for Parking $7 (yes to park your car at the waterpark you're patronizing) Admissions was a breeze. We went straight to the Lockers and paid $11 for a locker that opens with the scan of a barcode bracelet you receive after paying for the locker. We hit the wave pool, lazy river, got hungry, purchased an $11 burger $7 shaved ice and went back to the water til we got hungry again so this time it was a$10 Funnel Cake before taking the little one to the kiddie pool area with slides and after 4 hrs, we called it a day. Lots of Lifeguards on duty! If i could do it all over again, I would "bring a tent!" They have grass areas for them. Enjoy!

Amazing family fun, amazing wave pool but water slides are a bit outdated and the walk upstairs to the ride is ridiculously long! I still had fun however prices should be lower?

This experience was actually insulting, I ll start off by saying I like this park and is a great place to take the family. The issue was with our cabana, we paid a premium for the upgraded cabana and it was absolutely awful. I honestly don t know what I paid for. The upgraded cabanas are in the far corner of the complex away from everything, they claim you have a server instead of a call button but I ACTUALLY never saw one. Not once. When I finally flagged down what was suppose to be a server it was a child that couldn t speak sentences or respond to questions. It was really really weird. This wasn t just wasted money, it was wasted everything. The experience was so bad I genuinely would have thought it was personal if I hadn t talked to a different cabana and they were having the same experience. The reality is I deserve my cabana money back but when the staff can t even speak words what s the chance he can figure out how to do a refund. Not EVERYTHING is Covids fault. Hire people that can speak and realize that you are dropping the ball on what should be some of your most valuable guests. I went there to spend a lot of money and actually wasn t able to do it. Instead I got ripped off for 250 and will never spend a cent there again.

The only issue I have, is you can't bring food or drink into the park (unless factory sealed water btls) and their stuff is really over priced. Almost $60 bucks for 2 pizzas and a cup of fries. Would have been much better if we could bring our lunch and just buy treats, like ice cream and fried dough.

It was fun. If you go in the waves and then come to your house and sit it feels like your in the waves

Here's a message for the people running this place:
How do you put together a local show at the water park and then cut a band's set short just because you think they're too heavy for the crowd? Ever heard of Google or YouTube? How about you listen to some of these bands before you book them?

People in bands have to work too and many of them took the day off to play. I hope you know that you shitted on quite a few people's lives. Don't really care what your stupid excuses are about. Just wanted to bring to your attention what kind of effect your management decisions have on people. Glad I got my refund without arguments. That alone is worth 1 star. Never coming to this place again.

The staff are so friendly and awesome way to enjoy the las Vegas heat

It is good fun, but you are not allowed to enter food you have to buy what they sell. Poor quality food and expensive, there are only two pools.

A literal oasis in the desert,it has attractions for all ages,there is a fun kid's area with mini water slide. My favorite attractions are the lazy river and the wave pool. If you get early you can find a nice spot under the shade or they have cabanas for rent. Staff is friendly and the food is just ok ,the traditional pizza,burger,etc. But the have a couple of Healthy options too. A good place to go with the family and have fun cooling down.

I prefer cowabunga over wet n wild. Much bigger park and there is a variety of food stations available. I gave them 3 stars simply because my niece got stuck on the racer ride and the lifeguard on duty was busy talking rather than working. She pressed the green button and down came the other riders while my niece was stuck, well, sure enough the young man collided with my niece. She was soo scared and shaken. The lifeguard was scared herself because she overlooked my niece. I was beyond angry. Thankfully nobody was hurt . Damn them young lifeguards. I'm still upset about it.

Loved the heated wave pool and lazy river at the 21+ night time event water beetles were a bit much

I heard they go off of freaking height to weather you have to pay more or not. I am sorry that I got the tall gene!!! It ain't my fault. I ain't ever go in there.

Is a good place it would only be better if the water park was bigger

It was fun. Laser tag, rock climbing, ice skating, santa, bouncy house, "snow" tube slide and tons of lights!

Such a great place to escape from all the craziness of daily work. My kids love it here!

I'm going to go tomorrow but this place is baller. You should definently come and it's super fun. I'm happy there is a good decent watermark around here
