The hotel is located right next to UAB, so it is very convenient when visiting a guest in the hospital. The staff is amazing! I'm not sure of the receptionist's name, but her nails are just as amazing as her personality! :D The rooms are pretty decent. No microwaves in room, but there is a refrigerator. The shower is exceptional, also!

The room was fine and the building was clean. I would stay again but I would not order food from the "BISTRO". I ordered the individual pot pie and it was ridiculously bad. It was a flat piece of dough with whatever insides were supposed to be in it just sitting around the bottom of the plastic container. I've never met a sadder pot pie in my life.

Location is good but housekeeping sucks. I have two room that join together. I checked in on Thursday and everything was good. Went to the hospital on Friday and when I returned to the rooms, neither of them had been cleaned. Went to the front desk to complain and the general manager was very rude. I ended up calling corporate.

One star is because of the lady at the front desk..
My mother was rushed to UAB and placed in ICU
So this room was a last minute thing..
Ok the lady at the desk was sooo rude an snappy..
She stated that she was at her second job for that day but I'm so sorry that was not and still isn't our problem
Costumer service is everything!!

AC blew in humid outside air in between cycles, but it was fine when switched fan to auto. Parking is a bit inconvenient, but does work when you are visiting UAB. Comfortable bed, helpful staff, mostly quiet room, just some street noise with all the ambulances going to UAB hospital.

I stayed long term as my family member was in the hospital, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the hospital departments and local area. Starbucks inside was a comfort with all the stress.

Clean rooms. Good price. Convenient to downtown Birmingham. This is the fifth year in a row that I've gone there for the Mercedes-Benz Marathon relay. The front desk staff is always accommodating and congenial.

This is a nice hotel, rooms were very clean and comfortable. My only complaint was there were 4 pillows on each queen bed. Normally when you have that many pillows you will have 1 or 2 that are softer than the others. All 4 pillows were hard and uncomfortable. Would be nice if each bed had a least one softer pillow. Outside of that, great hotel.

Very nice. The check in process was difficult and then we ended up getting charged for our room twice. They took care of it but it was an inconvenience. Location is great. Lots of places to walk to eat.

Clean, friendly, quiet, nice room. In a not great neighborhood, too far from campus, parking is not on-site and costs extra, no complimentary shuttle (despite them claiming to have one on the phone).

I did not stay her but attended a work conference in one of the meeting rooms. Overall good experience but there were some times when the outdoor maintenance crew were almost too loud for us to communicate.

Extremely overpriced. We checked in late, the desk clerk didn t fully explain how to even get back in the hotel after parking. We had to come back and drop off our luggage, after circling the parking garage and hotel for about 20 mins. The parking garage is a bit confusing for first time stayers. And you must pay to park. 8.00 per day. Clerk explained if you left the parking garage during the day that you would end up paying 8.00 twice!!! No breakfast included, no pool, no shopping stores near. There are places to walk to and eat at, That part is convenient. Kind of a bad area, burglar bars everywhere!!! No group discounts for meetings. Very very expensive to get no amenities. Staff was nice. No vending machines. They have a small area near the front desk to pick up a few snacks and drinks. Needs updating. Definitely not worth the price. Convenient for hospital stays, but they should at least get a cheaper rate, but I don t think they do.

My daughter and I have stayed at this hotel twice already this year and honestly it's the BEST experience we have ever had at any hotel. The staff is impeccable, friendliest people EVER. Our room has always been clean even before expected. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. Greatest thing, I left my camera and they actually called to say that they had it at the front desk for me to pick up OR they could mail it if I had already left town. AMAZING! Someone could have EASILY taken it, I would not have know until I got home so again, I'd highly recommend a stay here. If you do plan to enter and exit the garage often in one day, you can have the front desk stamp your ticket for a one time $10 fee, or choose to pay $6 per day. I have zero complaints about our stays and will stay again if we are in the Birmingham area.

Drove into Birmingham and got a greatest at this hotel without a reservation. Very clean and comfortable room. My mom had the room across the hall, which was perfect. Parking lot leaves something to be desired. Kinda hard to find a place to eat, most places are closed in the evening. We walked to the Pizitz Food Hall, which is quite possibly the best food court ever. I would stay here again if I'm ever in Birmingham.

This location was okay, it was clean. Staff was neutral. Paid parking for location behind the hotel (get info from front desk) located by hospital/school. We were able to find street parking due to the holiday. No free breakfast but they have an expensive breakfast bar. However, there are a few restaurants near.

Pricey but you get what you pay for. Attached to UAB hospital so the convenience for appointments is worth a lot. I was greeted as guest of the day on our this visit which made awaiting major surgery just a little less stressful for a very worrisome time.
