Courtyard by Marriott Louisiana Boardwalk Review

Rooms were nice, and staff were very accommodating. They gave us all extension on our checkout time which allowed is some more time to explore the boardwalk.

Its clean if you stay no one will clean your room but ever 7 days and no breakfast thanks to the pandemic...So no extras

This place was great! Super clean with many upgrades, awesome location, great view of the river, cool lobby area. I was really impressed and can't believe there are any negative reviews on here!

Really nice location on the river. The Boardwalk is right next door with lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel has a small cafe and also a well equipped "pantry" with food and drink. Rooms are clean and spacious. The bathrooms have nice size tubs. They are also equipped with a little coffee maker and a small fridge. No microwave. The pool area is small bit verynice with a fire pit.

Seen one courtyard, seen em all. I don't personally understand the brand- no free breakfast or coffee but identical or more expensive prices compared with similar brands. The bistro offers cheaply made food and it's overpriced. Same story for all courtyards. Better bang for your buck is a Residence Inn, Fairfield, or Springhill.

Enjoyed this property, close to shopping and eating. Had a VERY spacious "king view room" that was clean and well laid out. Oulets next to bed were stripped, wouldn't hold a plug. Bed wasn't super comfy, but was ok for a one night stay. I didn't check out anything else, but they did have an area for eating (not included) and a gym. Follow the signs to get to the property, its a weird driveway to get there.

Stayed here many times and is probably the best hotel in the area. Clean, comfortable, shopping and good within walking distance.

Found hair in the bed and smudges on sheets. Nail clippings in the sink, also hair in the sick. Rust in the bathtub and markings on the walls. Shower bison dirty and rust on the metal bar above bath. Just seems uncleanly.

Don't book here! All night long you will hear trains screeching. The train tracks were about 50 yds. from our room. For $200/night there are MUCH better deals in Shreveport.

Great location on the river. It is at the Boardwalk mall, so you can walk to all the stores and restaurants.

Located right on the boardwalk, and spitting distance to all of the casinos, the Courtyard by Marriott is right in the center of anywhere you need to be. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with reasonable internet speed. Nothing special for breakfast, but you're walking distance from an IHOP, so that's ok.

Everything about this hotel was greatness. All the employees that we encountered were accommodating and friendly. The manager, David, was so very nice. David walked around and greeted everyone with a smile in the dining area for breakfast. He really went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Another employee, Lindsay, was also very helpful and welcoming. I believe she was a newer employee, but definitely a keeper. This hotel is literally in the perfect location, right on the boardwalk. The breakfast was delicious. The room was spacious and very comfortable. My family and I will be staying here anytime we come back to Bossier/Shreveport, with no hesitation.

I was going to give a 3 star, because there is no microwave in rooms, but the staff is Great, which made it a 4 star! The fact that it is on the Boardwalk is very nice

Nice place to stay, but you would think. For $170.00 a night they would offer a free cup of cofee in the morning. Not so though, you gotta buy it.

On the board walk. My room overlooks the Merry go round then out onto the Red River. The room was great. The price reasonable. The pool and hot tub last night was a nice experience before returning to the room.

Service is ok. Not as warm as other courtyards service. Clean comfortable rooms. Swimming pool was being serviced for the days I was there. And no gym.

This was the best place to stay for an extended time. The staff was nice and good to me. The only thing is they did not have breakfast and I had to go get breakfast everyday. I stayed here for 20 days.

Great hotel, little cafe in the lobby was great for breakfast. Room was beautiful and very clean. Can't beat the location either! Walked to all the shops and restaurants, we will stay here again!

A really nice and convienant spot to lodge for a weekend, or just an overnight getaway! Everything you could possibly need is right within a short walk. Very secure day and night, well lit, and nice staff on hand. Could not suggest it anymore! Go check them out!

Everything about this hotel would have gotten it at least 4 stars until I ripped a hole in my work shoes and broke skin when I tripped over a metal frame sticking out from underneath the bed. They need to replace them or find away to keep them from jutting out as it presents a safety hazard. (I noticed only one of the beds in the room had the frame like that) when I told the lady at the front desk she said she would let "them" know. I have not had the time to follow up and see if it was resolved.

This is a great location! Food and shopping within a few feet of it and good food too! Checkout the cheesecake bistro right behind it. The gym here is one of the larger I have been too and it is well lit. The staff are friendly and courteous. The room was nice, clean, well stocked with hygiene products and had a fantastic view.

Beautiful room with a comfortable bed...Im thinking of redecorating my bathroom at home now. . The coffee in the room is the only slightly disappointing thing but the coffee at breakfast is awesome

Clean and quiet with cordial staff. Nice amenities and reasonably priced for the location.

Very good hotel, you must book x internet to have a better price. We asked at the hotel and they wanted to charge us 190 dollars per day. Same room booking online came out 90 dollars

The proximity to the Louisiana Boardwalk is awesome. The hotel was clean, and very modern. The doors on the rooms need to be fixed a bit, but all in all my one night stay was very much enjoyed.

This is a very nice hotel. The Star Bucks on site is great. I love me some Star Bucks :)

The sound insulation is horrible in this hotel. You will hear every movement of the people above you. We complained because at 7am the guests above us were making so much noise we couldn't sleep. If the front desk did call them it just made things worse. We left the room early the evening before because of the noise. No wonder there are so many guest lounging in the lobby. Whats the use of paying $240 dollars for a room that you can't stand to be in.

Probably the best Marriott hotel I've stayed at, and I'm a member. The staff was courteous and the location was perfect for visiting the boardwalk in Bossier.

We loved it there! We walked to the boardwalk for dinner and shopping. We will definitely stay there again when in the area! 5

Parking is a little tight on the weekend nights. Location is great! People next door were very loud this morning while I was sleeping in, so walls are not as soundproof as i would like.

This is a nicely updated, standard courtyard hotel. There are views of the river and the Shreveport skyline, and it is walking distance to shopping and dining. Would recommend!

The rooms are the worst. We paid for a suite. The carpets have stains, the bed feels as though your sleeping on a plywood board with padding over it. Our tv did not work, so no satellite all night. It is in a very nice location, but I would recommend looking elsewhere. As a rewards holder, I been to a few Marriott hotels and this is by far not their best!

Check-in was simple and the location was fantastic. Right next to the boardwalk and across from downtown, it's a phenomenal place for a hotel stay in the area

Enjoyed our stay for the most part. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but not the worst hotel bed. Mini fridge barely cooled. We were put in a handicapped room (altho not needed at all). Not truly handicapped friendly tho. They have a grab bar in the bath at the back next to the tiled seat, but the tiled seat is completely blocked by a decorative glass wall. No way a handicapped person could utilize that seat or grab bar. Tub was VERY slippery. Every time I stepped in, I nearly went down. No walk-in shower capabilities at all. The bathroom door was large, but heavy and no way to easily maneuver a wheelchair in there. Having an amputee in my family has me seeing handicapped accommodations in a whole new light. This room really wasn't handicapped friendly.

We got a King room with river view. It was pretty. The hotel is right next to railroad tracks. If you are a light sleeper, you may not appreciate the midnight train or 8am-ish train. Other train times too, I just don't recall. They didn't bother us cuz we were awake when they came through.

Staff was very friendly, including housekeeping. Very good location next to the Boardwalk. Walking to shopping, meals and Margaritaville was great. Beautiful walking path along the river.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Ok hotel,... charging same pricing with no breakfast, no bar, no hottub.

Well to start off the alarm went off at 1:00 in the morning while everyone is asleep. Then they woke us up again at 7:00 in the morning. The workers that are supposed to fix it don t want to fix it because they probably to lazy to. The whole time they made us all think there was a fire.

Very nice hotel... though the bathroom had a couple of spots in the shower with some mold, which is a little concerning. Also, while the breakfast was fantastic, it seemed a little too expensive for what I got.

Good location, comfortable rooms and close to good restaurants

Upon my arrival, the team assisted me with my check in, no prombem. When walking to the room, I noticed how filthy the hotel was & was hoping that my room wouldn't be the same. When I entered the room, we immediately smelled dampness. The refrigerator cabinet was open and dirty. It was also chipped and discolored. There was hair & stains in the linen. The restroom had dirt & grime on the baseboards and stains on the wallpaper. I went to the front desk to inform the 2 ladies that the room was in unacceptable condition. They questioned me as though I wasn't telling the truth. I informed them that I took photos. They stated that they only had 2 more rooms, one on the 2nd floor and one in the 3rd floor. Since my preference is a higher floor, I opted for the 2nd. The 2nd floor room was filthiest. Headboard full of grime, food discolored and more. Went back to the desk and got nothing but attitude. Was told that "yall can check out if we dont like the room to save us both from this headache." I informed her that this was in fact inconvenient, however we just wanted a clean room as we had fun to enjoy prior to our business plans the following day. She told us that we can take the one on the 1st floor. We checked it out and decided to find a room elsewhere due to the cleanliness of the rooms and poor customer service. I've never experienced this type of disrespect and lack of a resolution from a Marriott. I wouldn't recommend this place to any friends, family or business colleagues.

This hotel stole my $100 deposit on my rooms. Don't give them any money. I went to the front desk to pay for my rooms on my credit card and it got process. The guy told me that I needed to pay $50.00 per room. I had two rooms. I gave him $100 because my card would not run anymore. He did not give me a receipt and told me that they would mail me my deposit after I leave. When we got ready to check out I ask the lady when will they mail my deposit she just look at me and said we don't mail deposit. I explain to her what the gentlemen said about my $100 deposit and she went to get her manager Denise Troutman. She told me that they would look at a tape and call with the results. I waited 3 weeks no phone call. So I called today and she told me that they look at the video and it did not happen like that and he gave me back my money after he ran the card. Now how dum to you think I am. I gave them the money because the $100 he was trying to run on the card would not go through. I she told me that her GM Eric Marsha and Engineer Jason Mills all look at the tape and saw him give me back my money. I am requesting a copy of the tape. So my question would be did y'all take my money and split it like I don't need it. Yes like anyone else I want my money. They figure because I work for Big company they could take my money and I won't miss it. Don't give them any money. They are all thieves. Also the rooms that we had the toilet never worked. Lucky they where room with connecting doors. I love Marriott but I will not be coming back there and yes I am a VIP member.

A little disappointing that the restaurant was closed but good clean hotel and great friendly staff every time I have stayed here.

Good service, nice room. My only gripe...the parking..you had to park about a tenth or so of a mile away. Good exercise, but with 106 temp outside its a rough walk and a little bit creepy in the dark.

Friendly staff... clean, spacious rooms with river views available... close proximity to the boardwalk... All pluses for this Marriott property... An excellent bistro and convenient onsite Starbucks make this the perfect place for a weekend getaway!

First off - no breakfast. That is a pet peeve of mine especially when a hotel costs as much as this one. The only food they have to offer is their expensive bistro. It was misleading a check in, because the gentleman stated the timefrane that breakfast was served, only to wake up and find that there really wasn't any. Secondly, the noise. LOUD, LOUD!! Doors were slamming in the hallways from the guests, which kept causing our own door to make a loud rattling sound. Not to mention the train, if you are staying on the far right side. Lastly, the pending charge of at least $20 more to our credit card. No warning, nothing. Currently the transaction is still pending, so who knows if they've tried to get over on us or not. If it doesn't get corrected, I'll have to file a dispute. I found out after doing some research AFTER the fact, that they will do a pending charge for more just in case for damages smh I have never stayed in any hotel that has done this and not communicated it. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is simply because we had walking, simple access to the boardwalk and that was the main reason we came. Other than that, I will most likely not return to this location.
