It is horrible how these associates on the phone treat people. I understand that somethings are classified but when someone is approved to be on a case does not mean that they should be treated disrespectfully or have such horrible customer service and trying to give them information for the case that the case manager has requested it is a nightmare calling them and it s just acceptable for them to treat people with no respect and belittle them while they re on the phone.
Always kind, courteous, and respectful. Easy to deal with!
They are getting better. Last experience was awesome. We'll see how the next one goes.
My first experiences were with the people where answerning the phones. They talked to me as if I were a dead beat dad. I had not missed a payment before SCCS began handling the case. I have had different experiences with the people handling my case, very uncaring and impersonal plus the person changed often, so I am thinking a high turnover rate in employees. Then there was the problem with the garnishment. Once the garnishment office takes the money, it takes about a week to process it to the child support office. I get paid 26 times a year and one or two months the payment will come in after the 1st of the month. This triggers an automatic garnishmet for the money that should have been there on the first, a late payment. It took the office months to get this corrected. I was in the process of buying a new house when a lien showed up for unpaid child support. Even though this problem happened again recently, I do have a better case worker now.
No one even cares about getting funds for children you get hung up on after 20 minutes and all they can say is it s a known issue but they will put an order in to suspend your license so you can t get to work just to make sure children never can the fund s needed!
It s a broken out of date system that no one has accountability for getting money to the kids
Very polite ,professional, got us in and out in a timely fashion. (I was there for support to a friend )
Haven't seen my two children for over 3 years now. Sonoma country child support works directly with Sonoma country family court to give one parent custody while the other parent pays for the disparity in time sharing. Then the real magic happens. They charge a percentage amounting to the highest banking charges in the world for the monthly balance.
This is a conflict of interest.
This is corruption.
This is state sanctioned kidnapping for profit. Any morons giving them good ratings are lazy thieves out for a buck who no doubt abuse their kids via alienation. What total trash.
The worker in charge of my child support case, keep giving me the wrong information, convinced me to go to court , just to hear how this corrupted system protects an American citizen , give him the option to pay 0 child support , this agency and case worker lost my paperwork, , gave me more than once the wrong information, act like they are doing something for you, when in reality, when I called he just told me what I need it hear, it would be nice if at one point they really start working, care about they cases, care about behind every case, there are families ,kids with needs, of food ,clothing, medical care. For my worker was easy instead of do his job tell me to get General assistant. I wonder how much training he got to give that solution. Get it right , it's child support. Do the right job.
Unbelievably frustrating experiences. Was not informed about the change to the new way2go cards. Called child support 1st, had tp do the merry go round thought a new card was ordered but it wasn't, after waiting for 2 weeks!! Too close holidays to have this happen. Everyone i spoke to was very kind and helpful though. I appreciated that a lot.
