Such a wonderful experience. Friendly staff. The therapist here are amazing. It was difficult to get an appointment but I now understand why it takes a while. Treated with attention, dignity and respect. Having been to other therapist before, it was worth the wait.

Jessica Magers, MS and the staff here are so amazing! The front desk is always polite and they are very professional. They are very strict on their payments but that is part of their job so give them a break! I had never been to counseling before and I was very unsure of how it all worked but they were so gentle and kind with me. Jessica has worked wonders transforming my pain to healing. In every aspect and relationship of my life she has been the guidance I need to help myself be who I have always longed to be. I feel better than I ever have and stronger than I have ever known. I owe much gratitude to her and everyone at this center. Thank you so much!!! I highly recommend this office!

I was nervous about going to get counseling, and wasn t sure what to expect. The lady at the front desk was super sweet and friendly, and I received counseling from Kathy. She made me feel very comfortable and it was very relieving to talk to her, and hear her feedback. I look forward to seeing her again at my follow up appointment, and receiving counseling from her indefinitely.

I recently started therapy again. I actually picked this place because it was so close to my home. I was anxious, but you have to start somewhere. I am so happy with my therapist, Jessica Magers! The staff is helpful, friendly, & professional as well. I found the text reminder to be helpful. I highly recommend both Jessica Magers & the Counseling Center of NSB.

Being around staff that care about how others feel is a joy. The many different types of doctors and therapist allows for anyone to find the right fit for them. I have many friends and family that have found help here!

Went in in person to get a feel for the business. Took in new patient paperwork already filled out. They were very off-putting, basically told us politely to leave and call their number to schedule an appointment. Not friendly, not helpful, not interested. They seem focused on making money, not helping people, or providing quality services. Went elsewhere & was welcomed and helped by very pleasant people. Don't listen to these guys when they tell you the way they do it is the way it's done; if you get a bad vibe, leave!

Being strong doesn't mean you dont need help. I struggle with depression and anxiety and I have been coming here for help. The therapist here are amazing. Really helpful and the staff are always welcoming. Dont be afraid to get the help you need. Your mind and society can set road blocks in your way. This place has helped me overcome them.

I never knew therapy could be something I look forward to. Ive been to a couple other counselors and always left disappointed. Very professional staff and true compassionate wisdom.
It had been a little while since I saw my Counselor and I recently went back. Not sure what others are talking about. Money Hungry and Rude? Still a warm and friendly environment.

Went there to get a prescription for Wellbutrin to help quit addictive substance. I have used it before and had positive results with it stopping the cravings post thought. Paid $150 over the phone prior to visit, filled out 10 or 12 pages of paperwork. The nurse practitioner opposed me at almost every point stating that I must be under supervision while taking the drug. I know for a fact that is not true because a real doctor prescribed it before. They wanted to milk me for more money I'd suspect. Bad experience. Total waste of time. And worst of all, the feeling I've been robbed.

I only have high praises for the Center! I went for counseling at the lowest period of my life and thanks to Shane Porter he brought me back into the land of the living! I went from surviving life to living life!! It was hard work but what a different world I live in today! Don't be afraid of asking for help! Your life will never be the same! It will be so much better!

I made an appointment here to get some therapy. I had heard great things about this center from several people. When I went in I wasn't sure what to expect. Especially after reading a couple recent negative reviews, but I have to say the staff where warm and friendly.

Just like any Doctors office, I paid my Copay and filled out forms.
My therapist was amazing. Took extra time with me to really understand what I was going through.

Im not sure about the others, that just stopped in and left negative reviews but never saw anyone, but I can tell you they were very helpful.
Hope and Healing has begun. Thank you!

The rot starts at the top at this place. It is supposed to be a facility where you go to get help with your Mental Health. It is more than expected that a patient may enter this facility under emotional stress.
If this happens, expect to be met in the lobby by the office staff with abject disregard for anything you may be going through.
When that goes badly and the CEO Shane Porter, a supposedly licenses health professional, follows up with you 2 days later after multiple calls wanting to simply speak to your counselor, you'll find that he cares less than the office staff. He will not apologize for the poor behavior of his staff and then tries to blame the patient. However they will not fail to mail you a bill for the missed appointment, for more than their stated fee.
So if your mental and emotional health mean nothing to you, then this is the place to go and finish them off.

Professional, competent and compassionate therapis...

Professional, competent and compassionate therapists and staff. Hats off to Edwina Erica and Belinda in the office. Your personal and professional attitudes and deliveries are so appreciated. Thank you each and all. Amanda Phillips and Emily Edwards thank you both on behalf of myself and family in helping us work through our issues and personal development. I am particularly grateful to know I have at my access a team of qualified professionals I can count on for mental health and well being any time and especially during personal or pandemic crises. The Telehealth option has been a lifesaver. For anyone who has a medical doctor and dentist the necessity to add a Counselling advocate is an essential component to have in our lives and times. I d rate a ten but there was only 5 stars !!!

I used to go here years ago to see Dr. Kennerly. It was always a pleasant experience. Recently, I set up an appointment with a new person, Dr. Shaw, but before I even got to meet her I had a terrible interaction with one of the receptionists that turned me off. She was very rude and scoffed at me before hanging up. I left a message for the manager to call me back, which she did promptly. She was much more professional and courteous. Despite her professionalism, they still charge a $150 no show fee. I would have only been 15min late and they refused to see me. It doesn't seem like a safe, inviting environment for people that are needing to talk to a professional about their issues. I will not be rescheduling at this facility. Maybe some sensitivity training would go along way for Edwina so that others, like me, won't feel turned away at the front door...

I missed my appointment that was booked months in advance, simply because I forgot I called because I received a bill for 80 bucks for a missed appointment. I asked the receptionist if they called people prior to the appointments as a reminder, she told me I was sent a text which I didn t receive then I was told that I m an adult and I need to take responsibility for my actions. Also that if my bill for a missed appointment wasn t received she would gladly send it to collections. As far as the counselors are concerned I m sure they are great but after that I ll be looking elsewhere.

I came in this place to ask what kind of insurance they took because I didn't have Internet at home. They were very rude at the front desk, didn't seem to care if I had insurance or not. Moneygrubbers, I say!
People like this could care less about your mental health.
