Cozy vibes, great prices, and without a doubt the best collection of Japanese records in the city. The owner's super helpful if there's something specific you're looking for, and will happily add it to his watch list.

The owner is really knowledgeable about everything he sells, and the selection was amazing! A great spot for those who are willing to pay a little bit more for quality vinyl that plays perfectly!

Excellent if obscure collection. Yes the prices are high but I think you get what you pay for if you know what you're looking for or are willing to find obscure records. The staff was very friendly and the selection is pretty vast. Will definitely be back when I'm in Toronto. You could look on discogs but there is something about buying a record you know nothing about. If you love deep house and old school jazz, it's almost your mecca.

Better than their other shop at Queen and Palmerston. Loads of hip-hop singles and albums with some stuff you likely won't find anywhere else. The shop is pretty small and hard to browse, especially if there are more than 2 or 3 other people. The lower bins are really deep and it's borderline impossible to look at the singles near the back because you have to lift each one and crane your neck to see the title. Pricing is high for the local market with common popular rock titles asking way too much but much like their other store if you need a certain title that day then they may have it. Other stuff is priced ok but 25-50% premiums on discogs prices are common.

Small but excellent selection of most genres, but the classic rock is very well stocked and even though the pricing can be a tad steep it's mainly because they know what they're selling, the rarer the disc the more you pay.
On the side of quality, I've bought many used albums for very reasonable prices and they played like they were brand new!
If you're a Beatles fan you'll find rare stuff, unofficial releases and a nice Japanese import section...always interesting to say the least!

Great place to check out on queen. I have bought hundreds of dollars of records from Cosmo's and have received the same friendly service whether I was buying one record or when I was buying twenty. The dudes that run the place keep it well stocked with interesting stuff. If your into Soul and Hip Hop this place probably rivals some of the best selections in Toronto.

I bought a record over the internet with them as a gift for a friend and I am extremely satisfied. Excellent service, preserved products and a great collection of music, including Brazilian music that I was looking for.

Tons of interesting records, great prices. Notes on records re: great beats to sample or interesting grooves. Tiny, barely room for a couple people to move around, but deal with it. Great spot. Will go back frequently.

I posted a picture that will prove this point. This guy sells records that are worth way less then it's actual worth. The owner is trying to make it seem like theses are high quality rarities. They are beaten up and not worth the price he is charging.

I thought i'd give cosmos a chance by looking through the dollar bins. Even if the records are the same quality as some of the expensive vinyl, the expensive ones are 40$. So what is in the dollar bin? They are all 12 inch LPs with only one song on them.

UNLESS HE CHANGES HIS PRICES DRASTICALLY, NEVER GO HERE

As the name implies it is a record store so it's not hard to create a cool vibe. While there is a neat collection of LP's from animes, an older era, blaxploitation films, funk genre, etc. some of the prices are way too high, especially since we're evolving into an era where the physical copy market is constantly challenged by the digital age. Very cool store-runners though!

A true gem. Don t walk in with a specific record in mind as it s not that kind of collection. It s one of those record stores you can get lost in looking through movie soundtracks, Japanese funk, and other obscure genres. One of the best spots in Toronto if you re looking for rare and expensive records - they have some really awesome Hendrix and Neil Young vinyl. Also a good selection of bargains!

Guy on the phone was rude and hung up before I even finished asking him if he had a particular record. All I said was "you probably don't have it" and he hung up immediately. Guess we'll never know!

I will never step foot in this store.
