This place is actually a good place. I have a family member who has lived here for 15 years. It's heartbraking that one idiots decision and actions have given this place such a bad reputation. What is sadder is the media and people only focusing on the bad things that happen and not any good the other good hardworking staff that work here. I have looked for other home that provide similar services and aside from going to another state they are rare.

Closing the place down will not help any of the patients who are still there and workers. All homes need improvements. Hacienda included. I beleive focusing on change for this around the country is in order in all SNFs.

My family is looking for an update on how, specifically, this facility has changed and updated since a male nurse impregnated an incapacitated female whose pregnancy went undetected among other staff. She gave birth at the facility alone and was found with the baby s head already out. How has this place changed since then? Do not sweep it under the rug. Answer to society. COVID-19 and world craziness does not make us forget the despicable traumas and abuses that happened at this facility.

Floor nurses excellent, administration doesn't care and will demise the facility. The SNF administration needs a lot of work. Until they realize how a facility is run, they will run the facility into the ground. There are reasons for policies and procedures, not to mention state and federal regulations to follow. The patients need the floor staff they don't need administration staff that doesn't know what they are doing.

Teresa, how can you defend this place? The fact that the pregnancy went UNNOTICED by OTHER staff indicates that EVERY staff member who looked past this is JUST AS GUILTY!! This place needs to be shut down. NO ONE NOTICED that she hadn't had a PERIOD in months! NO ONE provided peri-care to notice trauma! Every staff member is guilty, not just one bad apple!!

My 8-year-old great-granddaughter has been at Hacienda Healthcare since the fall of 2016. She has severe physical disabilities and requires nursing care 24/7. My wife and I live in Tucson and visit her one or two days each week. As a result, we see first hand the wonderful care she receives from the medical and support staff. Not only is the care skilled and professional, it is also compassionate. My great-granddaughter is smart and articulate and when she describes to the staff what she needs, she is always treated with respect and patience. She loves being at Hacienda and despite her many needs, she's always treated seriously, and with dignity and love. It is hard to describe what an enormous relief it is for us to know she is safe and in the hands of people who are reliable and attentive to her needs.

My 32 yr old daughter has been at Hacienda for 4+ years. She is total care, nonverbal, yet she knows what is going on around her. When I am there I can tell the majority of the staff care about the residents and patients. They are attentive, kind and patient. With my daughter they have built relationships and I can tell by her smile or laughter or the scowl on her face who she likes and doesn't think so much of. I have to say most she has a very positive connection with.Whenever there is any issue, ie, bedsores, health issues, I receive a phone call so that I am aware. Having taken care of her at home for the first 28 years of her life, we recognize how demanding taking care of her is. It's a thankless and stressful job. I'm pleased that the staff takes such great care of her so that I can visit and enjoy her as my daughter and not my work. I appreciate the staff everyday for giving my baby the care, love and attention she deserves.
