Excellent food and service for this nice little family owned spot we are addicted to the falafal pita.

I go there for lunch and it s so good I go back for dinner! Great chicken and lamb. I like the salads too. Very friendly. Stella on draft while you wait for carry out.

The best gyros, Greek fries + friendliest service around

I frequently order take-out from here at least once a month. I love the atmosphere and I love supporting a local family-owned business. The workers/owners are all very friendly.
The Jerk Chicken Pita is my go-to dish, and as others have said, its sublime. They are very generous with the amount of chicken in the pita, all cooked to perfection. The tomatoes and onions are very fresh. The pita, which could make or break the dish, is always excellent. The sauce compliments the food perfectly.
If I could offer any critique, it would be that the fries are hit or miss. They are never bad, but they are not as exquisite as the pita itself. Perhaps there is a traditional Mediterranean side that could be paired with the pita. I for one would be willing to pay a premium to substitute that for the fries.
Edit: I will try the salad or rice next time!

This tiny restaurant on North Avenue (at 72nd Street) has been cranking out deliciously prepared, authentic Greek food since late summer of 2009. The Tselentises had been completely managing the famous fish fries at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church (in Wauwatosa) for 10 years previous to that...so they know what pleases their public!

Try their fish fry next time you're thinking fish...you get a tasty Greek salad and your choice of baked potato, rice. ot french fries, and a wedge of bread. Their "blend" of tartar sauce is also flavorful and an excellent complement to the battered and deep-fried cod. Two and Three piece fish fries are available as well as their other tasty menu offerings.

We were looking for a place to have a quick bite to eat and happened upon this little delight. We were just planning to check out th menu, but that was all it took to stay. It smells heavenly!! I had the gyro platter with salad, my hubby had the jerk chicken with fries and we couldn't have been happier with our choices. They gyro was a traditional sandwich with enough meat for two sandwiches. The salad was a crunchy veg covered spring mix with Greek vinaigrette- so yummy. We were told the jerk chicken is the best seller and we could understand why after tasting it - deee-lish! Tender chicken chunks with a bit of bite to the flavor that was a wonderful balance of heat and sweet.The place had a steady flow of customers picking up orders for take out so locals from all around seem to enjoy the food. We highly recommend Cosmo Cafe for great food at reasonable prices!

I came here for the first time bc a coworker gets Gryos all the time from here and it smells amazing! Omgosh. Wow. This place does not disappoint!! The Greek fries are yummy and the gryos are DELICIOUS!! You get tons of meat too! Definitely will get food here again!

Never disappoints! Cosmos is our favorite place to bring guests for a casual lunch. The restaurant is owned and run by a friendly, welcoming Greek American couple who serve up delicious, authentic Greek food. Prices are very reasonable and the food is always good. There are also some classic American menu offerings that will please the picky eater. The restaurant is small and can get crowded, but it is well worth a visit.

Unfortunately the place is within walking distance so we always go here. The regular burgers are great. But do the fish fry and for sure get a gyro. The tzatziki sauce is fresh made and fabulous like everything else

Tried the jerk chicken pita after seeing positive reviews. Loved it! Medium spice with a creamy sauce. Chicken was tender with a slight caramelized exterior. Be sure to upgrade to Greek fries (lemon and feta).
Overall, exceeded my expectations for a quick lunch spot. Can't wait to come back and try other menu items.

Excellent Greek food at fair prices. Very friendly people behind the counter. Large portions. Minimalist environment. Luckily, we were there during a quiet time or the small venue would've been difficult to navigate. Only real deficit was the lack of beverage options.

This place was outstanding. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was really warm, Albeit it was a very small restaurant everything about this place seemed to "outgrow" it's size. If you're wanting to try something new or love Greek cuisine, this place is a must visit.

I have decided to eat here last night, I have passed by and loved the name, a friend called and said "let's eat out" and so we did. I had Navy Bean Soup....homemade none of this can stuff, really good. Also had a Pattimelt, wonderful 1/2 pound burger on a truly great tasting seeded bread. My friend had the chicken platter - well seasoned grilled chicken, tomato, greens with feta cheese and rice with a tomato based topping which was also amazing. This really was a great meal and will definitely be going back again. Should mention that prices were reasonable.

I knew it was going to be great when I saw it busy on a Monday and overhead the cashier hyping up his mom's cookies. The meal was super tasty and filling. The fries were surprisingly amazing? Something about it hit the spot today. The staff and customers are very nice, and it definitely feels home-y. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu (and get more cookies)!

We order out from here all the time. The jerk chicken pita is one of the best things I've ever tasted! Burgers are fantastic, fries are amazing (classic Greek style fries - little seasoning, golden crunchy crust outside, soft inside, slightly thicker than McD's). Decor is unfussy and utilitarian. Service is great, they are always super helpful if you want substitutes, extra sauce, etc.

New to area, cosmos came as a recommendation from a colleague. Super delicious, great gyros and Greek fries. Wife loved the suvlaki. Will be returning.

This is such an unassuming place. Great service! The food is even better. Highly recommend the jerk chicken pita, pork souvlaki and the GREEK FRIES. Who would have thought that lemon, French fries and feta are a match made in deep fried heaven.

I ve only had food to carry-out from here but it has always been spot on and delicious. The lady who handles the orders at the counter is always very friendly and pleasant to deal with.

Gyro platter was delicious, large portion of meat with fluffy homemade pita and good value. Wish the salad was a bit bigger. Can't wait to try more of the menu.

Lots of fun and authentic food. We happened upon this place because North Ave Grill right next door was closed for cleaning. The proprietor was extremely friendly and eager to please. We had two gyros and lemon rice soup. The gyros were delicious - when I mentioned I love cucumber sauce, he brought us extra yogurt cucumber sauce which was fresh and delicious. I love the fact that you can sit outside behind trellises and pretend you are in Greece! Some suggestions for the owner, provide laminated menus that customers can grab when the come in the door, better signage so that people know you serve authentic Greek food. "Cosmos" could mean anything - we had no idea what type of place you were. You could catch a lot of people who would otherwise go to the North Ave Grill next door if you had better signs and marketing - even a sidewalk board with a daily special on it! We love your place but want to see you do even better. It felt good to support a local small business.

We ve lived in the area for a little over a year and I never knew Cosmos Cafe was a Greek restaurant! I ve been driving to Brookfield Square to get falafel pitas! It is both a blessing and a curse to be so close to a fantastic Greek place!!

This place is ridiculously good. Awesome welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. We eat here once a week min since finding it a year ago.

We love this place. Great food, takeout business booms. Table space is cramped, but the food makes up for it.

I have been a regular here ever since i moved to Wauwatosa. The Best and most delicious Greek food I ever ate. I recommend anyone local or out of town to order food at this restaurant. Ask about the specials you will not be disappointed. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The owners are the most friendliest I have ever met.

Very good local gyro joint. They have many other mediterranean options on their menu I have yet to explore. Prices aren't outrageous and they will give you a LOT of tzatziki sauce if you ask for it.
