My husband is currently a patient at the Corvallis Manor. I wouldn't even give it one star but there wasn't an option for that. This facility should be closed down until it is brought up to a livable standard. I can't believe that the facilities can pass state standards. First day it took them three tries to get a working phone, two tries to find a remote that worked for the TV. I had to hunt up some one to clean the floors around the floor. Much of the staff doesn't seem to enjoy working there...smiles are in short supply. They are under staffed. Doesn't seem to have much continuity of care. I had to go to a local pharmacy to buy some 4" wide gauze wrap be cause they had run out. Going in we didn't expect to be in a luxury hotel but this place so sub-standard I plan to continue pursue this issue after my husband leaves there.

In the last 3 years I have been in an advance care facility, like Corvallis Manor 7 times and this one is by far the worse. Patient's rooms do not have accessible door openers. Inadequate electrical outlets. The wait time after you push the call light is well in exess of avarage 35 minutes. Some are over 1 hour some are as short as 10 minutes.
UPDATE ON CALL LIGHT WAIT TIMES: its getting worse. I calculated the average wait time based on todays times is 45minutes.

The food would not make it in a construction roach coach "free food" tray.
UPDATE ON THE FOOD SERVICESE: i was able to meet with the food service manager/dietitian and get some items worked out. It has not improved the food as of yet, but we are talking about it, maybe get some seasonings.

The staff for the most part is the only shining spot. 20% want to help people, 40% are there and they help but they probably would rather be elsewhere and 40% are there to do as little as they can and still collect a paycheck.

If you love the person your thinking about putting in here, take them to any other facility.

These people are rude, inconsiderate, do not like doing their jobs at all, no compassion for the people they are supposed to be caring for, and honestly they shouldn't be working there in that line of work if they don't want to be doing that job. They obviously need to be checked out and something done with them and their totally crappy attitudes. Those people in there are dependent upon them and deserve better care.

I'm a director for a memory care in the area and my experience has always been very positive when we have our folks that need rehabilitation services. Their staff are well trained and communicate frequently about their patients. I recommend them and their services very highly.

The owners of Corvallis Manor should be ashamed. The facility is not just old it is worn out and nasty from lack of basic care and maintenance. There is no excuse for the condition of this building. I might be able to look past what a dump it is if the care was, at least, adequate. It is not. There may be individual people that care but the utter lack of leadership, organization and oversight is appalling. I feel for every single person and their families that have to endure the Corvallis Manor.

The Corvallis Manor certainly exceeded my expectations. My mother broke her femur near her hip. She got very good care and physical therapy. The facility is clean and smells good. The administrator is hands on. She and the staff go the extra mile.

My grandma is currently in her final resting place and I had to lift her up in the bed myself and that's not what I need to be doing she is disappointed in the smell and our bed was squeeky and so loud you couldn't hear yourself talking or others couldn't hear yourself the staff isn't that great there isn't enough people on call to help if absolutely needed. This place needs serious improvement.

Caroline was a lifesaver so many times. Heather was the best charge nurse that they have. Isa, Giselle, Tony, Anthony, and Ronda homemade staying at Corvallis Manor so much easier for me.
The admittance was very smooth, and the discharge went even smoother. I recommend Corvallis Manor to anyone who is in need of a nursing facility or Rehabilitation and or has a family member in need.

This place earns its 1 star , my Brother who is there for rehabilitation because of a stroke left last night in his wheelchair . His friend picked him up down the street, he said he would never go back. These people have little compassion for the patients they are paid to take care of. I guess lack of care is what $7000 a month pays for.
