Stunning scenery! Efficiently run from the car parking attendants to the facilities which are at close proximity to the action areas. We enjoyed the cool area (free) for kids on toboggans as we introduced a 2yr old to snow!

Still one of the most average mountains there is. If there was some snow, there's a few gullies and natural features that might be fun. Overall a pretty boring mountain though. They don't seem to bother with much of a park, which means there's no fallback when the snow is average.

As a beginner, this wouldn't really matter and there's plenty of beginner runs you can take.

Good place, but if you want to save money and you are new, you can just buy the bus ticket and go to the learning area (is free) and learn. Do buy the access ticket, just the bus ( if you have a car, you don't need to buy anything, just rent the equipment)

I am in awe of the capability of the instructors at Coronet Peak. I am a lady of a certain age, physical klutz, rank utter beginner - day one, Pato, who has the wisdom of Solomon and the patience of a saint, had me up and skiing within an hour. Day two, and Richie, part miracle worker part quantum physicist and part personal cheer squad, had me actually adequately controlled to get on the chair lift and ski down a run. I fear I may now have acquired an expensive habit, but it's not immoral, it's not illegal, and it's not fattening. Thanks fellas, you have made a broken down old nag very happy. 12/10 would take instruction again.

A nice ski resort. There is not much going on there during the summer, but you get to see amazing views. The gondola and the cafe are open during the summer. The weather is pretty cool and cold during the early morning or in the afternoon. Gets pretty windy at times. Parking is on a gravel area on site with a parking guide.

Coronet Peak is my absolute favourite snowboarding location in New Zealand. Excellent atmosphere, amazing runs, excellent medical & customer service. The live music brings a real party atmosphere even when having a break from the slopes. My recommendation would be to bring some cash to tip.the live musicians , as it is well deserved.

Had a great time learning the basic of skiing yesterday at Coronet peak. Our instructor Hugo (he said he's French) made it a smooth, fun and beginner-friendly for all of us. He was so good that we were able to attempt the "big easy" slope by the end of his class. A very safe and family friendly environment. We all enjoyed it!!

Wow. The views are excellent, the runs are fantastic, If coming up for the first time, bus or car can pull around to the front door for dropping your gear off. and then park the car. Great if you have a family. can purchase ski passes on line, or in Queenstown to save Queuing up in the morning. you can hire everything you need down stairs as you walk in the door. but get there early to avoid the queues or hire gear from Queenstown. remember if you are renting a car or taking a car up make sure you carry chains if they request it, as they might stop you from traveling to the top. they a very strict on this rule, it's a long walk from half way. (if you find this information helpful give me a thumbs up below) enjoy your day on the snow.

Amazing place it is. One can enjoy the best experience of skiing there. And view from cornet peak is even more beautiful than the ice . You can see the whole town along side of lake wakatipu and the scene is very beautiful

Super busy during school holidays. Don't even think about lessons here, there is simply no room and only a small beginners section. Send to be a fairly steep set of courses and the restaurant and cafe are completely packed at lunch with no tables available.

Best slopes Ive boarded on. The park had barely any lines and no chair lift hold ups that I saw. Each jump had been obviously groomed that morning and all runs had a begginers or expert track that branched from it. A perfect place for all skill types to learn how to ski or snowboard. The views from atop the highest chair lift also looked over the entirety of Queenstown, which is a breathtaking sight to see. I will definitely be back.

Was cool only thing I didn't like is the prices I thought were very expensive a energy drink for a standard which i could buy at pak n save for $2.50 at most was $6 here so prices over the top

Very disappointed. The facilities have deteriorated when compared to years past. Automated electronic gates were not working well, one was broken (and closed), and the young lady attending to beginners chair at base was away with the fairies and then rude to customers struggling to get through the sub-standard electronic gates. There are also still too many poma's and t-bar's - they need to upgrade and replace these with more chairlifts. For the average or intermediate skier, runs are narrow and not as enjoyable as those runs available at Cardrona. I'll be giving Coronet Peak a miss until such time that they clean up their act.

DO NOT GO HERE. The Ski Instructors are impatient and unhelpful. I slipped down part of the mountain and a male instructors "help" to me was a dirty look and telling me to "get up" If I could give negative stars, I would

Worth a drive up just for the views but do check conditions in the winter. The skifield is good and allows night skiing on some evenings. It seems to get less snow than remarkable though and seems slightly more touristy. The facilitys are nice though.
