I don't typically take the time to write reviews, but felt I definitely should for this place. Dr. Howells went above and beyond in my 5 yr old daughter's eye exam and in so doing was able to diagnose that she had a rare eye disease, which would very likely have been missed by most other optometrists. He and his staff were also wonderful to work with and made my little girl feel very comfortable throughout the process. I would highly recommend Cornerstone Vision Center, especially for children!

I have had to have glasses since the third grade and he's by far the best doctor I've ever seen.. He really helps you understand what's going on. I have referred my parents there too!

Dr. Daniel Howells totally inconvenienced himself to rescue my three year old daughter in an eye emergency accident. He was so calm and good in his interaction with her! He was more than happy to answer all questions and concerns my husband and I had. He also helped us get the right eye relief cream. We really appreciate the relief and comfort he gave to our family! After experiencing his affable and professional manner, we highly recommend him to anyone searching for a great eye doctor!

We have been so impressed with the quality of care by Dr. Howells and his staff. I've never seen anyone care so much about how well their patients can see! Dr. Howells has taken so much time to make sure our prescriptions are accurate and our contacts work just right for us. I've been wearing glasses and contacts for over 30 years and have never had anyone be so diligent in getting things right so that I can see. They were also so great at making our children feel comfortable during the entire process. I was struggling a bit to see my computer screen. Doctor Dan recommended a pair of glasses specifically for distance I usually sit from my computer. It's made all the difference. I wish I hadn't waited so long. I get more accomplished and have less eye strain at the computer.
He is great to work with and I appreciate his candid and balanced advice.

Dr. Howells is an amazing doctor! My son has suffered from chronic and acute eye problems since he was 3 or 4. He has seen doctor Howell's for those issues as well as his normal check ups. My husband and I also see him for our yearly check ups. His staff is also great. I truly cannot express how great this office has been for us. We also purchase our son's glasses here.

Dr Howell is amazing. He always is continuing to educate himself. He takes the time with each of my kids and doesn t rush. He has helped my neighbors little boy that has a severe vision issue. I would and do recommend him to all my friends.

Our first visit here, my son was interested in contacts. Both doctor and assistant were very friendly and patient in teaching him how to put in contacts. They answered all our questions and we didn't feel dorky for asking them. My son was so excited to be able to see without his glasses! Cornerstone Vision achieved "Hero Status" that day! We lost a contact lens later in the week and they happily replaced it with another trial set, free of charge. I feel at home here and feel no need to look for another eye doctor ever again. I highly recommend Cornerstone Vision.

I am thrilled that I found Dr. Howells! Having been treated by several different eye doctors over the years and not getting any resolution to my vision problems, this is such a gift. He and his staff are very professional, warm and attentive. It is evident that he is passionate about what he does and that made me feel important to him. Today I am actually enjoying reading, using the computer and other various activities that would otherwise be a challenge. He has also treated my children and they absolutely love him! I recently took two of my children to Cornerstone Vision Center for eye exams and was incredibly impressed with Dr. Howells and his staff. Dr. Howells, a highly experienced optometrist, has a fabulous demeanor around children and during the exam took time to describe what he was doing to both my kids and me. Their equipment is modern. Dr. Howells took detailed retinal images that can be referenced on later visits to check for abnormalities.

I'm glad to have found an optometrist I can trust and I highly recommend Cornerstone for youth and adults alike.

This was my first trip to an optometrist but it didn't feel like it. The entire experience was very straightforward and actually kind of fun. The staff made me feel right at home making it easy to ask questions. Dr. Howells explained things to a level of detail and simplicity that made me feel like I was becoming an expert myself. I'd definitely recommend Cornerstone Vision without hesitation.

Dr Howells has been our Dr for a couple of years for my 8-year-old. He is excellent with kids, he makes the eye exams feel like play which goes very smoothly. But aside from that he is an excellent professional and very knowledgeable.
After our insurance changed we were forced to find another provider and we were not satisfied with the service we received at this other clinic.
I then made an appointment at the Cornerstone Vision Center and Dr was very accommodating. He went above and beyond to take care of my children which shows he really cares about his patients.
The staff is also wonderful, super friendly and great with kids.

I've taken my family to Dr. Howells for over 4 years. He was great with my young kids and professional with me and my wife. I found him to be knowledgeable and amiable. I also always found his office to be clean and comfortable.

I have never had an appointment like this before. Dr Howell was so patient and took so much time explaining things that no one else had before in my 25 years of contact wearing. He was extremely knowledgeable but also able to explain things simply. A+ experience!

I took my family to Cornerstone Vision for eye exams and came away amazed at the experience. Dr Howells pays attention to details, dilates the eyes for accurate prescriptions, and diagnosed problems that several family members have been having that other doctors dismissed. Ultimately we ended up with beautiful glasses (so many wonderful frames to choose from) and clear vision.

My youngest had been struggling with reading and his previous prescription from a different doctor corrected for his prescription, but didn't correct for his weak eye. Dr. Howells added a prism to his lenses (I had never even heard of that being an option before) and now instead of my son complaining his eyes are tired after 10 minutes of wearing glasses, he is now very upset if he ends up at school without them.

We are all happy with our glasses and all of us have been complemented on our frames. Dr. Howells also takes pictures of the inside of your eye, he found a genetic problem, and I can now focus on trying to keep it from getting worse. Because of the photo, this problem has been caught years ahead of normal diagnosis and my old doctor had never dilated my eyes or noticed this problem. Go to Dr. Howells, you won't be disappointed!

Dr. Howells is very personable and an excellent optometrist. He answered all my questions that other optometrists had been unable to address. His thorough explanations put me at ease, and I never once felt reprimanded for spending hours in front of a computer.

It has been a few years since my last eye exam, but I have never had an eye doctor spend so much time with me or be as thorough as Dr. Howells. He was great with my 5 year old and 1 year old as well.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Dr. Howells and his staff!! Not only is he very knowledgeable and experienced, he is super patient and friendly. My son started wearing glasses at age 4 and I was worried about how he would take care of them. I was hesitant about spending so much money on glasses for a 4 year old. However, the warranty that Dr. Howells provides has saved us time and time again! Not only have we gone through 5 pair of glasses, and a pair of lenses, we go in almost weekly to get his glasses adjusted. At first I was totally embarrassed to be going in so often, but because everyone is so friendly we were able to feel comfortable and joke about it. I have never felt like I was putting them out. They truly care and it shows! I am glad we live close to Cornerstone Vision Center. And even though our insurance isn't accepted here, we continue to go because he is just that good!! THANK YOU for making our experience as painless as possible.

I never could explain why I hated going to get my eyes checked until Dr Howell told me I have been over corrected for probably my whole life! I always would get head aches and feel sick with my new prescriptions. He has experience in more than just correct vision prescription, he checked other things that no doctor has checked before and turns out I have some unusual eye traits that need to be handled differently than normal. He was patient, kind, and took a long time explaining things to me so I would understand. I told his office staff if eyes could breath a sigh of relief, that is how my eyes felt after leaving there with the right prescription. It was the best eye doctor visit I have ever had. He is detailed and really cares, how I wish all doctors were. I highly recommend him!

In full transparency, I gave a review using this account, went back in to try to edit it, couldn t find it, switched to the Google maps app, couldn t find it too and thought the review didn t go through, and I made a new review. I eventually realized I was signed into this account, not my other email, and I accidentally gave this place 5 stars twice! I don t know how to delete a review, which is why I m editing this one, but I don t mind they deserve all the 5 stars!!!!

Dr. Howells and his staff are professional, friendly and patient. I went in for a contact lens fitting. Tired of glasses fogging up because of Covid masks and he patiently helped me figure out what I needed. Eyes complicated by age and a stigmatism he was knowledgable in what I needed to see clearly. I so appreciated him taking the necessary time and making me feel like I was important. So excited for my new contacts and being able to see!

Great Dr! great office staff! They are really good with kids appointments too. I had some issues figuring out my vision insurance and they took several minutes to help me figure it out. Dr Howells takes a lot of time to answer all my questions and gives a thorough eye exam so I have confidence in the glasses/contact prescriptions.

I have been extremely impressed with Cornerstone Vision. I wasn't able to wear contacts for years but the optometrist here helped me find the right contacts and products for me so I could start wearing contacts again. The doctor and the staff are some of the kindest I've experienced at an optometry office.

Dr. Howells is absolutely amazing. I have had major migraine issues for a long time and since getting glasses from him my migraines have all but disappeared. A very clean and well ran facility. The doctor I saw was amazing and very knowledgeable.

I have never been happier with an eye doctor. Dr. Howells spends as much time as possible with each patient. It never seems as though he is rushing you out. He also explains what he is doing, and how it benefits me as a patient. When I leave his office I feel like I have a better knowledge of my eyes and how healthy they are. He is very thorough. He takes every step possible to make sure my eyes are healthy. No shortcuts. He even took a picture of my retina and took the time to show it to me and explain what is happening with a part of my eye I had never seen before. I have never had a doctor take this picture. My kids love him because he is so friendly and he does not do the eye "puff" machine. He has a better device that they are not uncomfortable with. Really happy with our experience at Dr. Howells office!

In my experience, it's hard to find an eye doctor who is great at fitting gas permeable lenses. Doctor Howells is great at it! He is also very kind, easy to talk to, and extremely thorough. He genuinely cares about giving his patients the best possible eye sight they can get. He allowed me several followup visits until we were sure my new lenses gave me the best vision correction I could get, answered all my questions, and even tried a special order through the lab to try to improve them for me. My experience here was a stark improvement over the last place I ordered contacts. I will bring my family here in the future. I highly recommend Dr Howells and trust his expertise!

The doctor is a nice guy. However, his office staff took days to return my calls, did not bill our insurance correctly (twice), and finally sent a mean letter when it had been the insurance company's fault the bill took so long to resolve. I did not appreciate the experience and we will not return.

Dr. Howells is such a stand up man! I went to him last month complaining about my eyes hurting and a weird milky residue on my eyeballs. He checked them and we concluded that it was most likely due to a topical ointment I ve been using getting into my eye. He told me to use eye drops and to see him again in two weeks to get my actual eye exam done, otherwise he d give me the wrong prescription because my eyes were blurrier due to the milky residue.
After the initial exam, without saying anything to him or asking him to do it, he told the receptionist to wave my copay for the first visit because I needed to come back. I may have misunderstood it, but I think I heard him tell her to try to bill insurance but, if they didn t want to pay for both, only to charge once or something like that. He saved me money!!!!

After seeing him both times, I raved to my husband about him because, frankly, we don t always trust doctors or healthcare. Today, my husband went to see Dr. Howells. When he came home, I asked him what he thought, and he agreed Dr. Howells is such a stand up man!!!!

Also, he took the time to answer all my questions. Even unimportant ones, like what he thought about websites like eyebuydirect! I just had a baby and I m having a lot of health issues. You d think my gynecologist would spend a lot of time with me to explain things, but Dr. Howells gave me even more time just chatting about whatever while he checked my eyes than she does about something I need surgery for! Hahaha
