I am not a person who often writes reviews but Cornerstone Bed and Breakfast is the kind of place that deserves to be recommended to everyone you meet. My sister and her husband booked their wedding here in April after having to downsize their dream wedding due to COVID. It ended up being the perfect place to hold a safe, stress-free, micro-wedding!
The building itself is a city oasis that takes you back in time with it's Victorian charms. Stained glass windows, high ceilings, and richly decorated rooms are the highlights of this B&B.
Eric and Jill are by far the most welcoming, accommodating and patient B&B owners in the world. They calmed our wedding day jitters and anticipated all our needs. From the gourmet breakfasts made each morning by Eric to the countless recommations Jill has for places to go in Philly, you can tell Eric and Jill put their hearts and souls into their work. I really can't say enough about how at home they made us and the guests feel at home.
Finally as a nurse, I want to commend Eric and Jill on doing everything in their power to make their B&B a safe place during COVID. Their commitment to the well-being of their guests and staff is just another example of their professionalism during an extremely difficult year. I needed a retreat from the hustle and bustle of NYC so I touched down in Philly for a few days. My stay at Cornerstone was absolutely amazing! I was super impressed with the size and privacy of each room. The bed was super comfortable; I could lay there for days. The shower had great water pressure and stayed hot. The landscaping and interior design are aesthetically pleasing, charming and historic. I really enjoyed breakfast both days. I would recommend the biscuits and gravy and remember you're on vacation so always go for the bacon. Eric and Jill go out of their way to make you feel at home. They are really doing a great job!

Absolutely amazing. Went here with my boyfriend for our Valentine's day weekend. We were immediately greeted with warmth and positive energy. The room, the continental suite was beautiful. We even ate smores on the porch,it was very romantic. Breakfast was great... Good neighborhood. They were so kind to even take photos for us.

Eric and Jill were extremely welcoming and sweet. The continental rooms jacuzzi tube is a wonderful way to relax after a night out. Their website was extremely helpful to find places to go and things see, a plus up in my book. That was the bed, but let s talk about the breakfast, excellently cooked and very tasty. I must recommend to anyone who is looking for 5 star stay because that s what you ll get.

Jill and Eric were very kind and helpful! They gave us dinner recommendations and ideas of things to see. The room was nice and clean and the breakfast was incredible! We will be coming back next time we come to Philly

My husband and I booked a night at this inn after following their presence online for some time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone that may be in the area or looking for a getaway.

We told them it was a late birthday celebration and they were so kind to decorate our room for us. We feel they were perfectly attentive but never intrusive.

We booked the Philadelphian room and it was thoughtfully decorated with so many fine touches. Their robes were comfy and made of Egyptian cotton. We sprung for a couples massage and it was so worth it. They hire a
professional team and they set up right in your room. It truly helped us enjoy our stay even more.

We took the subway into Center City, the inn location is in a safe neighborhood and close to public transit plus walkable to mini marts. They also have wine available for purchase at the inn.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, they took our order ahead of time and we cannot express enough how fresh and tasty everything was.

Needless to say will be back! Jill and Eric are so so accomodating and genuinely love what they do.

My daughter and I stayed at Cornerstone while on a college tour and I could not be any happier with our choice of accommodations. Extremely convenient to both Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania as well as public transportation and the airport. Wonderful neighborhood. Room and common areas were spotless. Breakfast was amazing. Jill and Eric are lovely. I highly recommend and will definitely stay here again if we have reason to return to Philadelphia.

Absolutely superb! My wife and I live in Philadelphia and booked a night in the University room at The Cornerstone to get a quiet night away. Our stay couldn't have been better.

The hosts were geniunely friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The accommodations were extremely comfortable, and every last detail of the experience was thoughtful. Breakfast - fresh and delicious.

I want friends and family visiting Philadelphia to stay here from now on. We couldn't have hoped for more.

What a charming and delightful place! We came up to Philadelphia for the weekend to visit our son and feel so fortunate to have found Cornerstone just a few blocks from where he lives. The owners Eric and Jill made us feel right at home. We were even able to have our son join us for breakfast! The breakfasts prepared by Eric were outstanding. We were able to walk to the Phil. Museum of Art as well as excellent restaurants recommended by the owners. We will definitely be back next time we're in Philadelphia.

Jill and Eric are wonderful hosts. The Cornerstone was very easy to find. The home and grounds are beautiful! Everything was clean, and we really enjoyed relaxing on the gorgeous front porch. Our bed in the lovely University Suite was excellent! Our breakfast was exquisite and a delight! The neighborhood is very cool. Home to Universities, restaurants, parks, architecture.
