I'm not sure what everyone is talking about who rated Coriander so poorly. My wife and I love this place. We always go for the buffet so maybe the service and food is different then. It is pretty much self serve at buffet time so that may cut out service problems people are complaining about. We have frequented a lot of Indian restaurants this one was our favorite.

Amazing food with bold flavors mixed with delightful subtler tastes. A fantastic ambiance. Hostess is very personable and wait staff attentive. The tandoori turkey offered at Thanksgiving is a must try! All of our 20 some guests for that holiday raved about it. If you enjoy food from India, do not miss this place.

It's not really authentic as claimed for those of us who know about food. Excessive use of food color in the dish we ordered which is not good for health . Disproportionate amount of powdered spices used and the pungent taste of some of them ruined the curry. For the prices being charged it's not good value for money. I agree with the review by Arun Parsath this food is not for Desi community who know about food

Sad to say... Reading the reviews... But it true...the new guy is really a pervert... My daughter's had the same experience... The tattooed guys is what they told me.. He passes some comments as putting down the food at the table.... I guess they need to work on the staff manners, you need to treat women respectfully... It's a absolute no dining at that restaurant again... Guess the management isn't bothered about whom they appointing for the job... Really sad.

Probably the best Indian food in the South Jersey area. The staff always accommodating and friendly and the food is always prepared fresh. I would highly recommend Coriander! I don t have anything negative to say about this place. Always a great dining experience.

A wonderful little Indian eatery, parked conspicuously on the outskirts of a movie theater strip mall, Coriander hits a lot of notes spot on. I've only tried a few of the dishes so far, but every one's been a hit, and I intend to keep going and try more, especially given the quality of the dessert menu (that dark chocolate cake goes amazingly well with a scoop of chai ice cream). My only real issue with the place is its size and layout; it does the best it can with the space provided as a strip mall storefront, but I feel the floorplan and lack of square footage are really holding it back. Even so, if you're a fan of the cuisine or even just curious, Coriander is a choice I will happily endorse.

The food is always good. Downside is awkward 5pm open time for dinner and it usually takes a little longer than what you usually expect for it to come out. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Excellent choice for our lunch!! Last time we were at Coriander for lunch they had their buffet. Due to covid-19 the buffet has gone away, however their menu selections have more than compensated for that. We started with the butternut squash soup and the spicy corn soup. Both were delicious and the corn soup was definitely spicy . Main courses were salmon tandoori and vegetable thali. Again both were delicious and the thali included 4 dishes of various vegetable dishes along with rice, paneer (yogurt) and naan. We finished the meal with a shared kheer (rice pudding). A great lunch all around!!

Great restaurant with really nice staff. At a glance, the ambiance, ingenuity in dishes, and creative, ethnic look of the restaurant makes it a great place for treating oneself and others to good Indian food. The owner of the restaurant is the chef too and it is very much evident in the quality of the ever-evolving dishes. The walnut soup and lasooni gobi were the highlights of our dinner with orders of paneer makhani, malai kofta and bread basket (all of which were really good too!).

Delicious food with a wide variety of choices. Staff is very friendly. We came in late after a movie and closed the place down but were never hurried thru our meal. They even offered to add more food to our take home boxes than was on our plates.

For very affordable and a delicious meal, I have been here 2 times for the lunch buffet which starts at 11:30. The food was slightly varied between the two times that I went but the staples were there (chicken tika masala, and rice pudding) and they were fantastic. The staff was courteous, the food was spectacular and the meal was very cheap especially for all you can eat. I can't wait to come back for lunch again!

I m never one to complain about price, but for the price of their dishes they should ve been the best indian dishes I ve ever had.

The Aloo Gobi Mattar was bland and dry and I asked for very spicy and it was more than mild.

The channa masala was ok and the rice was old
tasting.

Ordered off of grubhub and it took so long i needed to microwave my overpriced mediocre meal.

Won t be going here again. Blugh.

Came here for Happy Hour and dinner after with some friends who have been wanting to try this restaurant out. Happy Hour is a great deal for some good house margaritas on the rocks or some cerveza. The chips come with three different dipping sauces which are delish. The orange one is really hot! Watch out. The chips are nothing special, thin salty tortilla chips. I prefer thicker and oily chips that just came out of the oil that give a little fight when you bite them.

Had a reservation but still had to wait for them to set up even though over half the restaurant was empty!! Pushy staff...COLD FOOD!! WRONG ITEMS even though order was repeated!! Used to be great . NEVER COMING BACK.

The people working here are completely unprofessional and rude. I called with clarifying questions about their delivery services. The person who answered me kept interrupting me and not allowing me to even ask my questions properly. Then, she hung up on me before I even finished getting my questions answered. These people do not deserve my money.

This place is my number one site. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. everytime I feel like having a proper meal, this place comes right away to my head. excellent and all sorts of food and a rich menu.helpful crew, and great atmosphere. And very important, the cost is affordable. I suggest this restaurant with great pleasure.

This is not a restaurant for Indians!! This might be attractive for Americans who wanted to try some indian currys and can show off they tried indian cuisine. We have ordered a chicken biriyani , veg Biriyani, nan and paneer gravy. Biriyanis were bad i read the reviews after ordering the Biriyanis. Nan was good and the paneer gravy was like panner sauted in tomato pickle with tikka flavor. Ambience was good but that can not satisfy the taste bud.

Great Indian food served with a flair. The owners are always helpful with the menu and picking the right meal for your visit. If you want to change something there is never a problem. Plus they have a cooking class in the banquet room every 2 to 3 months.

The lunch buffet is phenomenal. Though a small buffet (1 appetizer, 1 soup, 1 salad, 1 dessert and 3 entree) the food was great. Made fresh daily, the foods were very good and very authentic. The staff and management were super friendly and you never wanted for anything. The decor was unique and beautiful, the music just loud enough to be interesting but not impede conversation. Very highly recommended!

We were so happy we chose this restaurant to get our Indian food fix. Our waitress and owner we're both very attentive and friendly. We had ordered an appetizer that was not what we had expected and they came out and removed it and asked us what we were looking for. They graciously replaced that appetizer. Our entrees were Dynamite. I had the curried red fish. We're very particular about are Indian food in this place met expectations.

Food was overall good, specifically their curry dishes.
However, the menu on their website doesn't reflect their actual prices for some items. I asked the owner when I picked up food why the bill was higher than what was online and they stated their prices online have been out of date for a couple years. They didn't seem to have any intention of fixing it.
Would not recommend the Tandoori chicken, not as flavorful or crispy as other restaurants.

Will not recommend this place to anyone. Visited this place on a weekend. Curries were bad tasting very oily. None of rice items were good. Naans were not soft. No good options in curries and were not fresh. Service was bad, they were not filling the buffet table as soon as the item gets completed. Desserts gulab jamuns were not good. Overall very bad experience.

This restaurant has become our Sunday night date "staple." Week after week our meals are absolutely incredible, the chef and the owner are always outdoing themselves and the fresh flavors and intense spices just boom and shout in your mouth! We have never been let down by anything on the menu and it's sure to please anyone looking for fresh and exciting recipes and flavors!!
*Thank you Coriander for always treating us so well visit after visit and going above and beyond with hospitality and fresh flavor intensity!!

We went to Coriander to celebrate a friend's birthday last night. It had been about a year since I had last been there, since I have been out of the area, and I was looking very forward to the meal.
It was WONDERFUL!! THe service was exceptionally attentive, the menu had plenty of choices including a large and varied vegetarian menu. 2 of my friends were new to Indian cuisine and the waitperson explained the choices, replenished our beverages and was altogether charming. When we wee done wth our meal, another one of the staff came to us, asking how everything had been and explaining some more of the dishes we had questions about.
All in all, I would strongly recommend this lovely haven away from the mundane and "ordinary" dining choices available in our area.

My wife and I have been spoiled by knowing Indian food from eating at Coriander. Anytime we are out of town and try it anywhere else, it never compares to the quality and flavor of Chef Bhasin's creative cuisine at Coriander Bistro.

The food and service was incredible and comfortable. Our server, the manager and hostest were all super friendly and they had no problems accommodating our dairy allergies. We will definitely come back!

I must say the food is good in the taste department. Twice in the past I've experienced a salty paneer lababdar..Our go to dishes are paneer lababdar and malai kofta. BUT THE DISHES ARE EXPENSIVE by any indian standard restaurant! It appears they're competing with the other American fare restaurants as that do get a lot of footprint from the American folks. However, the pricing is atrocious and hits a person ordering takeaway food hard. Malai kofta is priced at 16$ in the bill and the quantity is not justified. Since we order food to go a lot( meaning really a lot) we have to look towards ammas kitchen which offers more reasonable priced tasty fare

I'll agree with chaudary! Biryanis are TASTELESS. Curries taste strange. Kababs were okay. But I was starving when I ate them, and you can't go wrong with Kababs! Overall, nah, not going again or recommending it to any other indian.

Long wait, gobi was burned and paneer was pretty hard, overall very disappointed. Indiya restaurant in Collinwood, not sure if it's related to Coriander but has a very similar menu, is MUCH better than the Coriander site.

Took out take out today. I ordered Paneer makhani entree and it was just gravy counted 6 pieces of paneer. The lamb biryani had too much of a saffron/cardamom taste and little bit of lamb in it. Very disappointing.
