Absolutely terrible service. I went today with severe back pain. I could barely walk. I walked in to any empty reception area. Completely empty of patients or a receptionist. She came about a minute later. That wasn't too bad, but still, you'd think there would be someone there when you enter. It was a worker's comp injury. I gave her mine and my work's info. About 10 minutes later I was called to the back. I was happy to be going back kinda quickly, although I did notice that I was the only patient there. Why did it take 10 minutes if there were no patients but me? It was 11:50am when I went into the exam room. The nurse took my temp and bp and said the doctor would be right in. Because of my pain, I couldn't sit or lie down so I just paced. 12:00 came, I was still waiting but looking out the door. I was still the only one there. At 12:15 I was really hurting and sweating just from the pain. At 12:25 I texted my wife who was in the reception area to say I still hadn't been seen and I was in a crazy amount of pain. She went to the reception station to ask but, again, there was no one there. I started to think that maybe lunchtime was a bad time to get there but I walked in about 11:40 so I figured they'd be around soon if they had gone to lunch. By 12:35 I was becoming anxious and getting increasingly annoyed. Looking out the door, there were still no other patients or anyone working. I'd been texting my wife and she still hadn't seen the receptionist. At 12:43 I walked out of the exam room. I finally saw the nurse and the receptionist on my way out. The nurse said "we haven't forgotten about you. Just go back we'll be in". When I said that I was leaving because I'd been waiting in an exam room for almost an hour, the nurse looked at the receptionist with a look I can only describe as "another one is leaving". It did not seem to surprise them at all. In fact, I'm quite sure they are very familiar with their patients/customers walking out due to poor service. I will never return to that place of business and I will go out of my way to encourage friends not to go there. I left and went to Riverside Doctor's Hospital a couple miles away. The ER was moderately busy but I was in and out in under an hour. You can't even see a doctor in under an hour at First Med. I recommend changing the name to Worst Med.
