I celebrated my PhD last night in this excellent restaurant. Well it was a magnificent evening and the venue was undoubtedly the reason for this outstanding meeting. The stuff cooperated in a pleasant way, the cooking was great and my buddies were so thrilled. We shall absolutely come back again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

The only thing that all the good reviews tells me is that there are a great many people on the North Shore who know nothing about Chinese food, or even good food. That's pretty inexcusable in Vancouver. If I had to define the word 'Meh', this place would be as close as I could come. One star for the food and an extra one for not being completely inedible. It's incredible places like this still exist outside of rural towns.

Not sure if the restaurant changed ownership. Order take out and was shocked by how different the food was. A quick call to the restaurant and they informed me that some of the recipes were changed. After 20 year of eating there even the famous Hot and Sour soup doesn't taste the same. So sad, will be looking for a new place now

Food was hot and packaged nicely, that's about the only thing good. Chicken was chewy, chow mein wasn't cooked. Everything we ordered was a huge disappointment. Will not be eating here again. :(

Amazing lunch special. Wonton or hot and sour soup + dish with rice for under ten dollars. I highly recommend the orange peel chicken or Mongolian beef. I typically upgrade to chowmein for a couple bucks more. I love their chowmein.

Staff is super kind and attentive.

Staff is super kind and attentive.
Came during the lunch hour and tried the sweet and spicy soup, just the right amount of sweet and spice, highly reccomend.
My spouse had the rice and sweet and sour pork and i had chow mein and beef chop suey. Was so good, and such a large serving, had enough for dinner later.
Hit up this little gem for great service and great food.

My two friends and I entered the restaurant and waited to be seated at the front. The servers chatted by the kitchen while one brought food to the one table that had customers in the restaurant. After awhile of standing there we went to go and seat ourselves, this finally got a servers attention, pointing us to a table. We took a seat and went through the menu. After about 15 minutes the server came to take our order.
We waited another 20 minutes before our drinks were brought, a simple order of a couple bottled beers. 20 minutes later she brought the spring rolls we ordered. They were the frozen kind out of a box from the super market with some individual packets of sauce dumped to the side of the table. Another 40 minutes later until our food started to arrive, at this point we were all hungry and getting a little annoyed at the poor service. My two friends received there food first, i tried theirs and it tasted pretty good, standard Chinese food nothing special but huge portions. I received my meal and was shocked at the difference, it was basically uncooked mr.noodles with oil dumped on top of some of it, a couple pieces of steamed broccoli and a couple pieces of steamed shrimp. As you can imagine it tasted awful, i tried to get the servers attention unsuccessfully for ten minutes before she came to our table. I asked if she had some sauce i could put on my food, she said no we don't have sauce. I asked if there was anything because my food did not taste good. After awhile of speaking to her she brought some soy sauce over. I tried that but it still was still inedible. i placed it to the side of the table, she came over, and i apologized but i was not paying for that. The server began to yell at me getting the attention of everyone in the restaurant, she said this is not what we do in Chinese restaurants. I said you are providing a service and this service has been unacceptable. She said this is not what happens at Chinese restaurants, i said does she not want her customers to be happy with the quality of food, so they return? She said no that is not how we do it here. She yelled at me for a good while, saying they will make me something else but i have to pay. At this point i was humiliated and frustrated agreed for her to make something else. She came back with a plate of noodles that was better then the first meal. I myself work in the customer service industry and have never been treated with so much disrespect as the server did. This was my first experience ever returning food to a kitchen but the quality was far below par. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone ever, and most definitely will not be returning.

I ordered from Coral Court for the first time yesterday. When I placed the order it said it would be delivered within 45 minutes but it came in 25 min. The delivery driver was wearing a mask. The food was really delicious. It wasn't greasy. The ginger beef was crispy and perfectly done. The sweet and sour pork didn't have any fat or gristle like many restaurants serve. It was tender. I liked the handwritten note. We will order again!

It's a sunny BC Day holiday, so took Dad out for lunch to North Vancouver as it may be less people there. Also heard this place is under new management, as we are visiting sister (she lives in North Shore) afterwards, it became a first choice. It was only a short drive of about 13 minutes from near the PNE. It's an unpretentious little place but with ample menu items. We chose Chicken Chow Mein, Dry Spicy Green Beans and Green Peppers and Black Bean Sauce Chicken. All dishes were good size and flavourful with wok qi. It passed the Daddy test and will be our new go to place. Friendly service, fresh ingredients and one feels their respect for food and what they do. Amituofo!

We ordered via SkipTheDishes last night and we were very happy. The food was fast and delicious. They went above and beyond to include a kind handwritten thank you note... should be the other way around: THANK YOU! :)

My order was to go.

My order was to go.
Service was terrible (slow) the woman was angry and told me that I came early (was told near 10 seated customers) I really felt insulted.
My order was salty and I can taste the added MSG.
Space inside is tight.
NOT ok for person with disability.
Limited street parking.
Price is not commensurate with the quality of food taste and service.

Very disappointed. I went there with my family to get lunch because they want to eat some chinese food(it s there first time in vancouver, in this case North Vancouver). I thought was an authentic szechuan food so I decided to take my family there.

When we arrived, We waited for a little for some to seat us. Nobody came up. Then I walked to the counter and said Hello for several times(yelling to the kitchen). There was customers eating and they told you can take a seat first, the lady(server) went to the kitchen . I said no, because we were 6 people and the table were separate by 2-4. I think is not very nice to enter a restaurant and start moving tables.

After few minutes and we decided to seat. The lady never came until I went to get the menu to my family.

The FOOD:
It was way too greasy than normal chinese restaurant. I expected to be greasy but not like this restaurant. *I forgot to take photos of the food*

We ordered an spicy plate that wasn t spicy at all.

The lady wasn t friendly as it said on these reviews.

The END:
When I went to pay the bill:
Me: may I get the bill?
The lady: Do you have cash?
Me: Do you accept any cards payment? (There was a card payment machine)
The lady: It s preferable to pay with cash
Me: Don t you accept visa card?
The lady: Do you have debit? Because it s better to pay with cash or debit. (and blah blah blah about the bank charges more with credit, I didn t get it)
Me: I only have credit card with me.

After all that she insists me to pay in cash or debit. And I clearly said I only have visa card with me. She finally accepted my credit card.

Buuuut that s not the end. The end is beside the food is average chinese food, bad service(or not you dont get service at all) and you must pay 10% for tip(the lady obligated me to pay that amount when I only want to pay 5% just because she bring the food to us)

Ordered delivery, even though other restaurants were not delivering because of snowy roads, these people did. The food was outstanding, really fresh and good Chinese and the delivery was on time. The delivery driver was super friendly too.

Ordered General Tso chicken here..... Very disappointed with the outcome.. from my experience, this dish is cooked sweet and spicy, szechuan style. The way it was served here, was almost like an adobo.. as in vinegar based and runny.

Nice people, good food. It's great, one of the first reopening restaurants at north shore after pandemic. I'm happy knowing it and ordered. One of the best which I like is Bean Curb & Eggplant with Chili & Garlic Sauce, I guarantee you don't gonna disappointed on it if you give it a try.

Unfortunately, I just had a pretty bad experience with this restaurant. Trying to impress the in-laws visiting from Ontario with at least decent chinese food, based on the 4.3 star rating, we called in to place a takeout order and were told it would take a while for delivery because they were busy. At the end of the conversation when I asked how long it would be, the lady on the phone hung up on me. I assumed it would be roughly an hour or just over an hour since they were busy. I called about 1.5 hours in to find out when it would be delivered and was told the driver had to go to the highlands and then to west Vancouver before delivering our food, and that it would arrive 'soon'. (The driver told a different story and assured me the food wasn't cold from sitting in the car for an hour).

Nearly two hours later the food was delivered cold and missing sauce for our chicken (pretty unimpressed at this point, I called again and asked to have it delivered).

Overall the food was subpar and the customer service was lacking. I honestly rarely give a bad review unless its warranted and I'm sure there's plenty of other above average chinese restaurants on the North Shore to try out.
