Outstanding products. Plants almost always arrive in great condition. The one time I had a plant arrive in poor condition, they made sure to rectify it. Customer service is incredible! I will be ordering more things from Aquarium Co-Op in the future.

I ordered a Scarlet Temple and Cardinal Plant along with some Anubias Nana Petite. I additionally bought the Easy Iron for the 2 Red plants. I dose 1 "pump" 3Xs per week, as recommended in my Fluval Flex 9. The Scarlet Temple is a vibrant red color. The Cardinal rebounded with great new growth after initially melting back as expected and has great red color on underside of the leaves. My first experience with Red plants has been positive. Cory's plants cost a little more than some sites but come packaged very well, arrive quick and are in very good, healthy condition. You get what you pay for so I am hesitant buying from anywhere else. I also subscribe to his YouTube Channel and the education and entertainment provided add to the value of my purchase. I know there is considerable cost in producing all that free content. Thanks to Cory and his Wonderful Team Members for making my introduction into planted aquariums an enjoyable hobby and greatly reducing my learning curve!

I have been watching the videos from Aquarium Co-Op for months and really wanted to try their liquid fertilizer. I also bought some plants and fish food to get the free shipping.
I cannot vouch for the store itself but if it is anywhere near as nice as this online experience was the folks who live near there should go immediately.
Even if I didn't get the free shipping it is still reasonable. Everything I bought was packaged by true professionals. There was a heat pack and insulated bag for my plants. They came in great shape and already look awesome. Great condition.
Everything else hasn't been used yet but looks exactly as described. I will use the fertilizer and look forward to success.
This is a small business that cares about their customers and knows that educating people and helping to solve problems makes for lifelong fish keepers. When you package products and deliver them at fair prices there is no reason to buy from anyone else when ordering on-line.
I drive over 20 miles to the one real local fish store near me all the time and will continue to do so but I will shop now at the Co-Op anytime I would order online from anywhere else. They just got my business forever if they keep up the good work and I'm sure they will. DO NOT hesitate to shop here online.

I'm completely across the country, and I still managed to get my stuff in a couple of days, with everything fresh and healthy! I cannot believe all the stuff I have bought from them already! It's been a long time since I've had an aquarium, and my first time with live plants. I ordered very simple low light beginner plants with no CO2 for our 2 new beta community tanks. A variety of plants in case I kill something. The plants I ordered only have had a few leaves that have melted back and they have all been thriving! The ones I bought a few weeks ago I already have new growth on them. We also ordered sponge filters to replace our existing filters, because they are so much easier and quieter in our tanks. I mostly appreciate the videos on YouTube that Aquarium Co-op has created. As my daughter and I have started our aquariums together, his videos have been so helpful, and whatever question I have he has a video to answer. He seems to really just want to teach people so they will enjoy the hobby. Thank you from the East Coast!!

Turning your hobby or passion into a viable, bill paying business is a pretty hard thing to do, and failed businesses close their doors nearly every day.
In the last 4 years or so, Cory and the Co-Op crew have successfully taken his passion for tropical fish, combined with some solid business savvy, and built a thriving, high quality, eco-friendly and customer service oriented tropical fish store.
I've been successfully keeping tropical fish as an adult for the last 3 years or so, and all of my 7 current tanks have at least one thing from this store living in them or working under or on the back of them.
I recently stocked a 100G freshwater tank with a school of 6 Jurupari, 11 Cory cats, and a small school of 6 Roseline sharks from the Co-Op. All of them have survived, are healthy and eating, and look great in my tank. Cory took the time to show me pictures of what the Jurupari might look like as adults, and we worked through the rest of the stock plan together, based on my inputs regarding what I wanted, what would look good, and what would survive with my tankmate choices and the water I'm using out of the community well we're on over on Bainbridge Island.
The roselines weren't available the day I was there, so I ordered them, Cory landed them, quarantined them for a week, and made sure they were healthy and ready to go when I could back across to pick them up. I was running late for the ferry when picking them up on Saturday, so I called ahead and Lamont had them bagged up and ready to go when I arrived. My browsing time in the shop was severely cut short (sadly), but we made the ferry with minutes to spare!
It's a business, and like any business, has to make a profit to stay solvent, and since he doesn't have the buying power of the giant box stores, you will probably find some things at those stores for less money than you might spend at the Co-Op. The Co-Op also doesn't stock EVERY genre of fish all the time, so you won't find African cichlids or a ton of the big Central American fish, but for the range of freshwater, community friendly fish and plants they specialize in, I promise you that you will not find better quality livestock or more knowledgeable service than those at the Co-Op, which in my book makes it worth the trip EVERY SINGLE time. Cory is in it for the long haul, and not necessarily the short term profit, and as a long time fish enthusiast himself (along with his employees), you greatly benefit from this long view of your experience in the fishkeeping hobby.
We're awfully fortunate in the greater Seattle area to have several great choices of independent local fish stores, and they all have their plusses and minuses, but for my dollar, you cannot beat the Aquarium Co-Op, and your experience in the hobby will be greatly enhanced with a positive, long term relationship with this store, its owner and employees!

The online store is easy to use and every order I've placed so far has met and actually exceeded my expectations. Fantastic selection of freshwater fish and plants. The owner has the most helpful YouTube channel to teach enthusiasts about the hobby. He had some great ideas for doubling the efficiency of filters. They have a lot of good aquascaping materials, and I make a trip or two a month for live blackworms. My fish love them. If you get lucky, you might find mixed plant grab bags available.
Great store with a great selection. All my mail order items have arrived perfectly. And I must say the fact that a different sticker comes in the order each time keeps me coming back so I can get them all! lol

I recently decided to set up my aquarium after many years of it sitting around unused. I knew equipment and fish-keeping had changed in the last 40 years, so I bought a few books and turned to YouTube for information. I discovered Cory and Aquarium Co-op by accident and I m so glad I did. I ve saved all his videos to a play list and refer to them frequently. It s like taking an online course. I have yet to read the books I bought. Cory is so knowledgeable, so full of great information and he makes so much sense. I ve watched other videos and cringe at what some people are doing with their fish. I started buying products through Aquarium Co-op with excellent results. Prices are more than reasonable and orders are received super fast - and I m in New York. Additionally, when I ve had questions, I ve sent emails to AC and have received speedy answers from Candi who works in the store. She has been so helpful while I ve been setting up my new tanks - yes, tanks . I m so in to this I bought a second tank!! I can t say enough about Cory and Aquarium Co-op. He s my new guru. I m in awe of this man. Someday I d love to visit Washington state, Aquarium Co-Op, and meet the man himself.
They put both of my orders in one bag, so I am not sure if I actually received any more than one order.
Also the Duckweed that I ordered was the most disgusting bag of plant matter that you can imagine. The stench of the spoiled water was so bad that I dealt with it as soon as possible. Half of the plant matter was dead. It is still a nightmare as the dead duckweed just clogs my filter systems inlet.
I am trying to see if the duckweed establishes itself, but so far it has been one of the biggest waists. Every day more and more of it dies and causes me maintenance problems.
It may be a small amount of money, but feels like I just through the money away or at least would have been better off to do so.
All plants that I have ordered from the Co-Op have come insanely quickly, and have been of the highest quality. Beautiful, healthy plants packed with care. This company is run with old school integrity; their goal is to make sure every customer is happy with their order. I love my plants, and I love dealing with Aquarium Co-Op. Recommended Aqua Huna to buy Fish. Never had a worse experience. Sold me sick fish and they don't care. 20 serpae tetras. 29 gallon quarantine tank. 4 d.o.a. told them more were sick. Aquarium co op quarantine meds. All dead after 1 and a half weeks! They deleted my e mails. No response.

Learning a thing or 2 am trying their product easy green I cannot give 4 stars yet because i have only dosed twice & well I believe i should at least give it a month. I love how they test products, provide detailed reviews, share useful information and tips on their YouTube channels and are quick to respond to inquiries. This is our first choice for buying aquarium plants. When I am planting a tank this is the only place I generally go. They have a far better selection than any other place I am aware of locally, and plants are generally very healthy.
The staff here are all in the hobby. There are even display tanks credited to various people that work there. You can get answers to questions from people that really know what they are talking about. Staff is also friendly and approachable. It's generally a good experience.
Fish selection is generally good as well. It's on par with the larger stores in the area that have largish aquarium sections. They take good care of their stock, though. Fish from here appear healthier than would be typical in a chain pet store. I never worry about buying fish from here. There are three stores in the region that I am willing to buy fish from; this is one of them. It is an especially good place to go for freshwater shrimp.
They have a smaller selection of equipment and supplies. It's a small store, and mostly stuffed with aquariums, so there just isn't room. Still, if you are in need of food or fish drugs they probably have you covered. They also sell a few different lights and filters. Their prices are in line with other stores locally (and much better than a couple of the more expensive ones).
Be aware that they don't accept cash anymore (or didn't as of early 2019, anyway). It's credit/debit card, Apple pay, and a couple of other options. Call before driving down here to see what your options are if you don't plan on paying with a card.

I ordered a Small Aquatop Sponge Filter, Repashy Soilent Green & Java Fern from Aquarium Co-op. The sponge filter is working fabulously in my 10 gal snail tank. My goldfish & plecos are enjoying the Repashy Soilent Green and the Java Fern is amazing. It arrived with large full leaves and is thriving in my tank. Due to the quality of my order I am considering a road trip from SoCal to purchase some fish.

Great tiny little shop. Fairly healthy fish with a good selection of both plants and fish. Decently priced. The employees were great, putting up with all my questions. They were super knowledgeable, which isn't always the case. Super friendly and helpful. Only issue is we had to stand in line to get in for about half a hour due to COVID since it was such a tiny, busy shop. Which I understand can't be helped. When I'm in the area again, I'll be definitely coming back for more plants, fish and possibly inverts!

The best retail store I have been to. You can seeing how passionate the staff is to being involved in the hobby and it's not just a job. They are very knowledgeable and willing to help as much as they can. If they don't have the answer they are not afraid to ask another employee or look it up online. I have never left the door without all of my questions answered. Being new to the hobby I have been there a lot and really enjoy how much I have learned already. Received my fluval light. The box had a rough trip, but the light works perfectly. I love the preset setting for planted tanks. My USPS deliverer just left them on the porch right next to the doorbell, however, didn't ring it, so the plants sat in the 36 degree weather for several hours before we "found" our package.....The plants were still plenty wet, but I was afraid to stick them in their tank. I let them sit overnight (still packaged) so they would not have such a shock and them dropped them in their tank just to hang out for a few days. I lost 0, yes I said zero, plants. They are doing great. Got the Easy Green products also. Seems like a win-win so far. Everything else in my order was just as I expected and all works great! I also need to add that both orders arrived really quick.

The Aquarium Co-Op is my favorite fish place. The people there are truly fish people who know the hobby and are eager to help you find what you want or to help you solve any problem. It is also a wonderful place to hang out a while to talk fish. Cory listens and does his best to provide what ever product his customers need. Including many items not carried else where-such as black worms, brine shrimp and live worm cultures. If you haven't been there yet you should go by and check it out.

Terrific customer service. Guys were great on answering all my question and doubts concerning light fixture (bought the fluval 3.0 light). Placed the order prior to my arrival in Orlando and asked for a specific day to be sent to the hotel where I was staying at. Bingo. In two days package was at the front desk. Everything were very well packed and secure. No trouble at all. Even got a discount for the first purchase. I d definitely ordered more supply if I weren t overseas in Brazil.
